- In this full #review I will explain all the specs of the 2024 #Hyundai #Tucson sel then take it for a test drive. The Tucson is a compact suv that offers a hybrid powertrain, large touchscreen and is one of the best suvs for the money but they still have quirks which will bring me to my pros and cons.

I bought 23 Limited AWD. So far it's been great experience. Interior tech and space is amazing. Handled lake tahoe snow storm and Death Valley rough terrain pretty well. Only short coming is that this car feels heavy to drive until I use sport mode + paddle shifter but then fuel economy drops. I found if I use AWD lock, it feels more smooth in city driving and for highway driving, normal mode is fine. I am getting 25 mpg in 80% city driving.

I would imagine that the reason that the ‘H’ is on the rear deck glass now is because that’s where the wiper was positioned. They probably have tucked it under the spoiler, up top, and still had the cut out in window below so put something there which happened to be the ‘H’. It looks than a big ol blade assembly on the bottom of the window ✔️✔️

Just bought a Limited in that same silver color from Daytona Hyundai. I like everything about it except for the seat comfort. It's hard to gauge with two 15 minute test drives, but my first hour long trip I noticed they were kind of hard. Plus I'm 6' 3" and the thigh support could be better. Still, it has a lot of value for the money. Performance is fine too. I have no trouble merging on or keeping up with traffic on that race track known a I-95.😄

@@jeffkern1036 It was a certified 2023 with 5K miles so my deal wasn't applicable to a new 2024. Still, they gave me the highest amount for my trade of any dealer by $1,000 and the price for the Tucson was fair. They didn't try to add on a bunch dealer installed stuff or protection packages. Very little back and forth and zero pressure. Like with any dealership you have to do your homework and come prepared. Should you decide to shop there I'd recommend my salesman James "Jimmy" Kelley. Nice guy and again, no pressure.
I bought the SEL Convinience and it is SUPER comfortable.

Same here. I have the 2024 Tucson XRT Convenience package and there was a recall for the windshield for a free repair. I have had it in 2x's and still an issue, especially the sunroof. Water actually freezes on the windshield and sunroof when it's cold and will drip into the vehicle when it isn't frozen. The last repair helped, but it still isn't resolved. I am so disappointed. I think the issue is the sunroof as well.
Anyone have issues with wind noise from the driver door when going over 40mph?
I went to book it today but couldn't make it because of some paperwork requirements so I will go tomorrow again. I found a 23K difference between smart and the comfort varient in car financing just for panorama and 2 airbags, 19" wheels, and some minor features. Will it worth it or go for the smart varient?

I’ve had mine for 3 months, and while I love it, I am having trouble with a crazy jerking/shuddering when shifting from reverse to drive. Crazy to experience that in a brand new vehicle.

Hey, just curious. They ever fixed it? I am looking at getting one of these but hearing what you said has me concerned. Anything with Transmission or Engine is red flag. Hope it got resolved.
@@veritassyfer1185 it's been sitting up at local hyundai dealership since April 24th, after determining that the entire transmission needs replaced. Thankfully the hyundai warranty is covering the entire cost and provided me a loaner until it's repaired, but I didn't anticipate this on my first brand new car...
@@veritassyfer1185 Just picked my Tucson up from the dealership yesterday, after it was determined the transmission needed replaced. It took about 2 weeks for the repair to be done, but it was no cost to me and I received a 2024 loaner vehicle while my vehicle was out of commission. Overall Hyundai handled it very well, but I did not anticipate needing a major repair on my brand new car with less than 4k miles...
Turn signals in rear bumper are a bad idea. Too easy to break in even the most minor bump.

I have a Buick Encore GX and this is far superior. More room and nicer looking interior. Encore brakes squeak as well. Steering wheel should be leather wrapped though. Also, display should be all digital.

Encore GX is smaller. Its one class lower when cars are grouped by size.
Hyundai logo on real window is what makes Hyundai creative. What is wrong with that? I loved that on my car

I have a brand new $36K Tucson SEL FWD and have spent 2 Days reading and researching how to get the Rear Dome Light to function? or even come on at all? and still have not found a way. It's like it is not even wired and there's no way to tell?
A simple On/OFF Slide switch on that light would have helped to isolate the problem. . . Manual P. 542 is Useless.

Take it back to the dealership and if any you have any problems they will fix it
@@HawkeyeRides I had to find the answer myself. My dealer was dumbfounded.
Ans.- There is No Rear Dome Light above the 2nd row seating. It's a sensor for rear seat occupancy detection that looks a lot like a dome light. At least . . . in my case . . . an SEL / Convenience PKG / FWD.
Let's not forget it is STILL a Hyundai POF, will be getting a recall notice for engine replacement! Not to worry dealers will have PLENTY of engines in stock!!!

They cannot do a light bulb, how many Hyundai do you see everyday with at least one light burnt-out
You can change them but some drive without them 👍
I've never had to replace an exterior bulb on my 2018 Santa Fe.
When he compared Tucson to Santa Cruz, did he actually mean Santa Fe?
Which part are you talking about in the review (time stamp), they are the same vehicle more less . Both off the same platform and the Santa Cruz is about a foot longer.
The santa fe is a totally different front end and a lot bigger.
I don't like that color on it. Looks rather dull. All black/pearl black ones looks WAY nicer. IMO.
I agree this color is only good because it look clean even when dirty 😂

The new 2025 will have a better looking front end (copies their little truck's look). All that piano black all over the center stack is ridiculous. Fingerprints and dust will abound.
