I suffer from severe depression. Metal has literally saved my life. I learned to play the electric guitar and it gave me a high greater than any drug. I saw H&H with Ronnie four times. It was magical. Felt it in my soul. To all the Metal Heads in the world, love you all brothers and sisters.

I think Dio(may he RIP) and the other Gods and Goddesses of Metal living or ascended would be happy to know what this genre did for you. Metal to me has been a guiding force that has kept me up when the world and my own demons sought my destruction. Kudos to you brother. Keep fighting the fight. Remember Metal is the music of Defiance and Empowerment.
With that my friends I concur, I myself first heard Dio in a Sabbath song that I had asked my guitar instructor to teach me and as I played it for him he said I don't see how, its done on a wah wah pedal. As one can imagine I was pissed off. The song was Lady Evil! That's right I hadn't learned to use a wah wah pedal yet. Anyway by same years end I did. Since I've seen Sabbath with Dio in 82, and Dehumanizer in 92,then H n H in 07 all in Detroit. Without doubt the greatest shows I'd ever seen. There's nothing heavier than Sabbath with Dio.

In case anyone listening to this didn't realise it, this man was in his late *60s* when this song was recorded, after a music career of more than 50 years. His body died shortly after this (of stomach cancer, poor bastard), but as the lyrics say, *he* will never die.

Yeah, he was able to deliver incredible vocals even at almost 60 years old and with stomach cancer, and still had not much time left... he's a king.

I feel this is Dio's most underrated song, but at the same time it's not super well known. Like whenever people talk about his music they would brink up the usual catalog with Holy Diver, Don't Talk to Strangers, and Stargazer. But this I feel like this this song is always under the radar, no one talks about it that much. Which is sad, it's such a well written and well performed song. I hope this song will start picking up people's interest, especially with it being Dio's final song.

Thank you Ronnie James Dio for all the glorious memories and for welcoming me into the fold all those years back when I was just 7 years old (36 now). You may be gone physically; however anytime any of us listens to metal we know deep down you are here with us rocking out.
He still sounds so great and passionate. Even after such a long career. He is in the same category of greatness as Elvis and Hendrix.
