Loved listening to your story about how Ferraris got you into cars. So many people see them purely as a status symbol, so it’s always nice to hear someone express appreciation for the hard work and passion that go into their aesthetics and engineering. Supercars weren’t what got me into cars personally, but it’s easy to see how that is the case for many others, like yourself. Love what you’re doin!
I know, right? But it's to be expected. People can't help it because Ferrari's are so damn expensive they *have* to be a status symbol; given notable exceptions, your average car enthusiast can't buy one of these. But at the center of it these are really beautifully made pieces of engineering that's so much fun to drive.
The button above the engine start/stop isn't to de-couple the suspension, it is to soften up the suspension and is more commonly known as 'bumpy road setting'
Like you, my passion for cars began with Ferrari. Though not in real life, I enjoyed them through video games. I now have the special privilege of living with a couple of them and they really do live up to the hype. As an aside, all the euro demo cars I've driven the speedo is in KMH and the passenger screen is in MPH. My dealer had a demo car that they let me have for the day with my wife, and we fell in love with the car. Our F8 Spider is a great complimentary car to our 812 superfast, and it's probably my wife's favorite car. I really enjoyed your 812 review, and had to come see the F8 spider review now that I've had mine for a few months. The Michelin's are an option, and when I spec'd mine in 2021 it was more than a set would cost after it arrived so I passed. The one standard piece of carbon fiber is the dash insert that the HVAC screen is set in, running all the way to the passenger side. The oil gauge on the left screen is the oil pressure, not level. Though I'm sure it's been pointed out already, the start/stop and unlock button are above the rear view mirror next to where the cabin lights are. If I could put a Ferrari steering wheel in all of my cars I would, they are that awesome! Your review really touched on a lot of the highlights of the F8 spider, it's probably the best in the class overall. It's not the fastest, but it's silly fast. It's not going to grab as much attention, but it looks beautiful. It might not take a corner the fastest, but it's still going to set faster lap times than most drivers are capable of. It's not got the fanciest suspension, but it's the most comfortable. The one thing about the F8 spider is that we've noticed the lack of passenger space after 4-5 hours in the car. We prefer to take the 812 for longer drives, but that's kind of what it's for. The F8 rides a lot better than my 812, but the 812 ends up being more comfortable. And both of ours have the full electronic seats (extra adjustability and seat memory). Getting to live with an F8 spider is a real privilege and I make sure to go drive it at every opportunity.

Wow! This is so sick!!! It's awesome how you were able to test out this Ferrari. I can't believe there are only 3 in this country. Excellent review, Miles! Very well done!!! 👏🏽
Best car review. Thank you so much for the clip and tour of the Ferrari F8 spider, the location in which you were driving was it (Pacfic Coast Highway) everything about this video was phenomenal. I loved this.💛
I love the sound of the Huracan’s v10 but this f8, the c8, & the 570/720s look so much better because of the convertible hard tops. Soft tops need to be a thing of the past. That fabric just cheapens the look of the cars.
Lamborghini Evo Spyder is my favorite. Kind of biased cause I own one but the Ferrari is a very special machine as well. I don’t think a person would be going wrong with either.
I love this spec except for the wheels. A bit more carbon fiber (the side flaps at the air-intake) would do wonders. It's so much more beautiful than the 488.
Way better looking than the Evo Spyder. I agree I would rather have the Spyder than the hard top. Same function but duality as a hard top and a convertible. Still love the hard top Huracan though, that awesome v10 sound. But I have always loved Ferrari. My most favorite, is the 288gto. Bucket list car for me. This and the sf 90 are the closest to the 288 for production in my opinion in all times. My second favorite is the Enzo. Thanks for the video.
@joel abra Having worked at a high level in the FIAT group I can say with certainty, that it should be SpYder (Italian). It was only changed to Spider (English) by Ferrari Marketing as English speakers could not process 'SpYder'.
The New Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster is just as good, and is not as expensive as the F8, plus Aston Martin isn't as sniffy as Ferrari can be with its customers. But if you want one, to bad, they have all been sold.
Lamborhini SVJ is amazing but you're wrong is 2.9 0.60 or 2.6 seconds $620k so slow The new C8 Corvette Z06 V8 9000 RPM 0.60 2.5 1/4 9:35 top speed 217 mph Chevroletperfomance is the best team of engineer in the world
The yellow dial is not a speedo, it’s a tachometer or rev counter. It,s available in yellow, red, white, silver and black so not “in whatever colouur..” .
Agreed .... and you don't need to gauge the revs on launch. You just put your foot on the brake and floor the gas. The car handles the revs. Otherwise, I'm not sure why you'd need a launch button.
Very nice review indeed! And yes, you did mispronounce the color name. 😄You got the "giallo" part right which is of course "yellow" in Italian. But the MO-dE-na part, as you called, it is actually named after the province where Ferraris are made which is Modena as in Maranello, Modena. Try saying "MODE-Ena".
Not a fan of the interior color, just my own observation. I would prefer a yellow key, black interior and yellow seat belts. Grey seat belts just look cheap along with those AC vents. Other than that I love the car. Not practical where I live but I would enjoy driving it.
If it isn’t your daily, I’d say the EVO is the right move. More exciting to drive and I love the soundtrack, but not as smooth or comfortable as the F8.
Penultimate: Penultimate means “next to last.” Sometimes it is used erroneously as if it referred to something beyond ultimate, meaning “the very best,” but the prefix pen- means “almost.” Penultimate can seem like a superlative version of ultimate, but it isn't. So, he's kinda backhanding Ferrari here...😅

Very disappointed that Ferrari didn’t continue the glass panel over the engine bay. They stopped it after the 430 citing difficulties with the hard top retraction. But Capristo developed a carbon and glass cover which works perfectly. I have one installed on my 488 Spider. There was no reason Ferrari couldn’t have done it. If you watch people milling around a Ferrari or other supercar, most of their attention is on the engine. Silly decision. My 488 looks way better with the glass engine bonnet. It’s around $15,000 but we’ll worth it.
Pronouciation is with a J as in 'jive', an A as in 'shallow', a double L, which in Italian is actually a longer pronounced L, and finally a 'closed', short O as in 'obviously', so: JALLLO. 🇮🇹😎

Love the lambo too, but the Ferrari offers more for the price. The sto beats it though.
I love this spec except for the wheels. A bit more carbon fiber (the side flaps at the air-intake) would do wonders. It's so much more beautiful than the 488.
Having both this and a GT4 with PDK I can safely say that the Ferrari wins hands-down. The PDK is really good. The F8 'box is exceptional.

Such a nice car! Despite it being faster than the 488 and the 458, I prefer the natural aspiration of the 458!
Well you need to get over the fact that normally aspirated engines aren’t available any more.
... yes, my comment for the pedants reading should have been qualified to say “not available for mid-engine V8 Ferrari’s any more”.

It's just "F8 Spider" by the way. There is no "Tributo" in the name :)
And it's SpYder.... not Spider by the way! Y not I!
@joel abra Having worked at a high level in the FIAT group I can say with certainty, that it should be SpYder (Italian). It was only changed to Spider (English) by Ferrari Marketing as English speakers could not process 'SpYder'.
I can assure you it’s Spider. There is no letter “y” in the Italian alphabet and any use of letter is an imported word.
