  • holsingersflysh... brings you the simplest fly there is to tie, the Zebra Midge. I tied this easy little fly on a size 18 for video quality but fish this on small ones than that mostly down to a size 22. For all your fly tying needs please check out our website @ holsingersflysh.... You can also like us on Facebook and subscribe to our TH-cam channel.

I wish someone who gave you a "dislike" would've had the guts to post why. Good job, Man, and the Zebra is a great pattern to have. They don't even need to be perfect in my opinion, just general in relation to the shape, size, and color of the natural.

Beadhead midge - size 20 to 26 are my faves. I use two with different colors tied in tandem on my tippet. I love fishing with bbhead midges.

I landed my first trout (2 stocked browns) on the fly and fly rod yesterday with this fly pattern, gold tungsten olive green thread and lead wire sealed in gorilla glue good way to end the season!

No we don't have a mail order catalog all we have is our website www.holsingersflyshop.com and an ebay store. If you don't have a PayPal account we can also take orders over the phone with a card. We are in the process of building a new website which will be more user friendly.

I am concerning to use the hooks size 18 or 22 for steelhead 10 to 15 lbs, any advise ?

Hung Luc I’m not gonna lie. You are definitely going to lose fish on a hook that size. It’s easy with such a small hook to pull it out of their mouths. Lately I’ve been tying my zebra midges on our HFS jig hooks in a size 18. Been catching a lot on them. I prefer jig hooks when I can.

anything smaller than 18 is ridic and pointless in my opinion 16 14 12 midges all day use the thicker hook if u want
