Brand & Ross should be suspended without pay PERMANENTLY for this public and outrageous humiliation. The degradation of sex / love went far enough with Paris Hilton but it didn't involve insulting others. This is OUTRAGEOUS. They are way overpaid schoolboys who are totally abusing their positions and showing just how truly talentLESS they are
Reminds me of Chris Moyles's Capital FM days where he'd troll random people on prank calls. I think it was Capital FM from memory. It was during the mid 90's and it was a late night show. It didn't last long and he ended up on Radio 1. My guess is that Capital FM found him too controversial so gave him the boot. I miss that show and his prank calling/trolling in-between songs. It was funny af lol. He wasn't the same when he went to Radio 1 which is what led me to believe he'd been sacked from Capital FM due to the prank calling/trolling.
There were jokes about the war, while that was a topic that you don't mention to someone that's a child refugee from nazi germany. Also, his wife was in the hospital, because she broke her hip that evening.
This is one of the most funnyest things I have ever herd. Its stupid how far this has got. It only got 2 complaints on the day and all other complaints have come since its been on the news so most probs haven't even herd it. Its hilarius.
I agree. This whole thing has been blown totally out of proportion and people have only complained to join the band wagon of people having a go. Apparently Gordon Brown also brought this up in Question Time - shows how little he has to talk about when he's taking a silly little hiccup on radio onto Question Time. He himself clearly hasn't any idea on how to manage this country by talking about minor little happenings which quite frankly shouldn't have even reached newspapers! What a stupid case!
i dont see why people seem to think this is either funny or offensive. its both. it was pretty horrible to harass an old man about one of his grandchildren and to subject his family to such a media shitstorm. it was a horrible unpleasant, selfish, and nasty thing to do. it was also very very funny. the way they did it was very very funny. so can we please stop being either sanctimonious arseholes or blinkered fawning apologists and get real?
As someone fortunate enough to hear the entire broadcast live I would go as far to say that numerically speaking I may be in the minority but on the informed viewpoint front I outrank the morally uptight. Justice for the Manuel Two, knight Ross and Russ and viva la revolution.
thank you for putting this up i always miss russell brands show this one was so grerat that it made it on youtube and it is brilliant its nearly as mad as kerrang radio where they ring random people regurly and harrass them just like this lol so cool
If you take the time to look at the bigger picture you will realise just how serious this is. This represents two highly paid broadcasters telling people that its ok to fone and abuse and taunt anyone they choose for their own entertainment in the name of comedy. Its not ok. Even if this hadnt been broadcast these calls were still made and Brand and Ross deserve to be sacked for their disgraceful behaviour.
i heard when this was first broadcasted, only 2 people complained. however, when the 'daily mail' printed the story, thats when they got the 35,000 complaints and counting. its a good example of the power of the media.
They would be making a bigger deal out of it for several reasons, there would be no "Oh he's a celeb as well so should be able to take a ribbing" argument, and people would just focus on the fact that man in his thirties was boasting to a 78 year old that he he had bedded his 23 year old granddaughter. If anything that fact that Andrew Sachs is famous actually made the situation seem less serious that it actually is. And not forgetting that Ross and Brand were actually breaking the law.
It is important to be able to be confident like Russell is. He jokes about him self all the time and he is criticized, harassed and judged much more than most. He not only has fun with it but does not take it personal. He uses it as FUEL for his own power. We can all learn from such an example including Mr Sachs. This may have not been "nice" but life is often like that. If we need everyone to be a certain way to be happy then we will constantly be unhappy~*~ This is OBVIOUSLY a joke
Absolute quality! Russell you are a legend! We miss you here in the UK - pls come back so we can come see you again! All I want to know is. . . was she any good?? :)
eh? part 2 is just a 2 minuet continuation and then the rest is repeated from part 1. Anyway, this is the first time i've heard this, thanks for uploading.
....Directed? It wasn't directed, they're making it up as they go! "The way they're seemingly harassing an old man is hilarious" - maybe to some people...
Im young, 25, so I am not old but even I think this is in poor taste. I can't believe Russel brand got off so easily, I mean I was a huge fan of Russel but he does take things too far and if he got away with this, then he would get away with anything. Both should be suspended without pay or FIRED!
I agree, the fact that during the show only a few complained about it yet when the story was in the tabloids, not the most reliable of sources either as they used the worst quotes on there, over 10,000 people have suddenly complained shows that in my opinion. Probably over half of these people haven't listened to the whole thing or any of it but like to complain about it because everyone else is. This wouldn't have been a big deal if it weren't in the papers...
it was the fact that the whole thing was pre-recorded is the reason the BBC took this as far as they did... the radio regulator (OFCOM) have to push disciplinary action to the fullest extent for pre-recorded pieces, because it should've been pre-approved by editors and possibly a legal team... if this had happened live, a simple apology would've cleared it up... which is a pity cause they're both amazing and now there's shite all on on friday nights... ironically, i think the BBC lost out here.
On board a flight to Hawaii, the pilot announced, "That thump you heard was our last engine conking out. I'm really sorry to tell you this, but we are going to crash into the ocean." In the stunned silence that followed, an angry voice spoke out. "Dammit! That stupid doctor of mine! He said I was going to die of cancer." "He lied!"
Here here. Imagine what a stale media we would have if everyone risky got the sack. If ofcom, the police or the BBC take this show away from me i will physically cry - i'd be a gibbering wreck. In my opinion its the funnyest show on the airwaves. My favourate 2 hours of the week. Im a cab driver and it makes my busy saturday nights a joy, I look forward to it every week. PLEASE DONT TAKE IT FROM ME! :(
If im gonna be burgled, Thats the sort of "sorry im burgling you" treat i want cant wait for next weeks show where russel Brand comments on his experience filming Mask with Cher
This is the height of their 'careers.'
this is wicked, they should both get promoted
Brand & Ross should be suspended without pay PERMANENTLY for this public and outrageous humiliation. The degradation of sex / love went far enough with Paris Hilton but it didn't involve insulting others. This is OUTRAGEOUS. They are way overpaid schoolboys who are totally abusing their positions and showing just how truly talentLESS they are
"Morning Fawlty, anyone been on my granddaughter?" LOL
Comedy gold. Still favourited with regular visits, so many angles. Love
I love Jonathan Rosses Cabaret references .
Loving the bing crosby impression "apologise top the max, andrew sachs" very funny.
Politicians seem to be going on about this a lot. They probably got bored talking about the credit crunch.
I laughed until milk came out of my nose

The granddaughter said Russell screams 'Que' when he comes.
No she makes that frying pan collapsing groan.
Jonathan Ross "sowwwi sowwwi" LOL
Imagine checking your voicemail and finding a load of 5 minute messages from Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross XD
It may be true but we didn't want to break it to you in such a harsh way! :) excellent!
Woss: "sowwee, sowweeee" lol
Well this aged well….
Why?
@@walterwhite1 My point was it hasn’t…. Have lent you seen the news?
Why? He never said he sexually abused anybody
@willrichardson5931 Have you seen how mainstream news and journalism is not worth a damn?
I find this hilarious, people can't say fuck all without getting in trouble now. People are far too sensitive.
There were jokes about the war, while that was a topic that you don't mention to someone that's a child refugee from nazi germany. Also, his wife was in the hospital, because she broke her hip that evening.
"in many ways i was a loveable cutie while YOU WERE A BRUTE" loool love it
As a Catalan National I have had to grow up with the shame of being associated with the stereotyped Spanish waiter pictured in Fawlty Towers.
"Scream apologies into his bottom"
Not a fan of either guys but this is very very funny lmao
this is hillarious, i love jonathon and russel
Ballard Berkeley was probably watching and was not amused... “Bad eggs”
Why have you included a repeat of exactly the same bit again?
This is one of the most funnyest things I have ever herd. Its stupid how far this has got. It only got 2 complaints on the day and all other complaints have come since its been on the news so most probs haven't even herd it.
Its hilarius.
*hilarious
best bit of radio broadcasting in history
People didn't think it was a big deal till the papers got hold of it.
The Brand run is over… multiple acts towards women will equal jail
i dont see why people seem to think this is either funny or offensive. its both. it was pretty horrible to harass an old man about one of his grandchildren and to subject his family to such a media shitstorm. it was a horrible unpleasant, selfish, and nasty thing to do. it was also very very funny. the way they did it was very very funny. so can we please stop being either sanctimonious arseholes or blinkered fawning apologists and get real?
only 2 people complained about this until the media realised they had no news and so picked this up. Down this the media!
@wolfernater
Did you leave it muted?
I don't care what the BBC say, that was funny! The Russell Brand show cracks me up every week.
The poor man's Derek and Clive except Derek and Clive are funny.
I'd be more angry at the fact that it was recorded and then the BBC broadcast it. I blame the BBC entirely for this, they never had to air this!
Might of actually helped if the producer was experienced, and who ever it was, actually listened to it
As someone fortunate enough to hear the entire broadcast live I would go as far to say that numerically speaking I may be in the minority but on the informed viewpoint front I outrank the morally uptight.
Justice for the Manuel Two, knight Ross and Russ and viva la revolution.
These frauds make me ashamed to be human.
It's like two little boys playing with the phone when mummys gone out. lol. They should have stopped, but its still funny.
The reason people in the government talked about this is because there are so many more important things to sort out.
LOOK OVER THERE!!!
Isn't a lot of this the same as part 1?
Thats right. Getting rid of those two would mess up BBC.
If you ever become ugly let me know, i will always be here for you, i'll never forget these special times we had together
So these messages are in part one also...
Did you repeat them just to make it over ten minutes?
quote 'well i'm sure noone could be offended by that.' rusell said that right at the end. what irony
This isn't spam, this is very relevant.
thank you for putting this up i always miss russell brands show this one was so grerat that it made it on youtube and it is brilliant its nearly as mad as kerrang radio where they ring random people regurly and harrass them just like this lol so cool

is there a full video to go with the audio?
Don't think so.
the bit about the major is very funny
why does it repeat part 1 int he 2nd half?
The first mistake is introducing yourself during a prank phone call.
FUNNY THOUGH!!
You'd think Manuel would have a sense of humour!
Why does this repeat a load of what was in part one?...
60 million people in the uk and 30,000 people complained about it. and i bet they havn't heared this.
i heard when this was first broadcasted, only 2 people complained. however, when the 'daily mail' printed the story, thats when they got the 35,000 complaints and counting. its a good example of the power of the media.
I wasn't that offended I just didn't find it that funny. I bet it was OAP's and boomers who phoned in.
hahaha this is awesome why isn't all radio this funny
most of the people who complained werent even listening to the broadcast at the time
I love the song bit hahahahaha
y r they in trouble this is amazingly funny
Oh well..at least the BBC are gonna get a hell of alot of people tuning in this Friday for Jonathan Ross!
i would like to apologise for these terrible attacks, andrew sachs hahhhahahahahah
All the people who say they love this. Please sign the petition!
at least they said sorry lol
What, and deprive people of listening to that hilarious phone call?!
I'd rather watch Simon Cowell make a 14yr old cry in front of millions!
The funny thing is the media say worse things than this about people
It is important to be able to be confident like Russell is. He jokes about him self all the time and he is criticized, harassed and judged much more than most. He not only has fun with it but does not take it personal. He uses it as FUEL for his own power. We can all learn from such an example including Mr Sachs.

This is OBVIOUSLY a joke
i love the little ditty they made up good free styling if anything. LOVE EM BOTH!
i wonder of those 2 will still be in big fat quiz of the year
Absolute quality! Russell you are a legend! We miss you here in the UK - pls come back so we can come see you again! All I want to know is. . . was she any good?? :)
He should made a rhyme like "I might get sacked because of you Andrew Sachs"
lol Ross: "who could possibly be offended??"
They don't need attention, they are two of some of the biggest stars in the UK.
I hate that this is such a big deal! why can't everyone just get over it? I can't believe that Russell's show has been cancelled.
Unfortunately that was fourteen years ago, things have moved on now
Some people have a real sense of humour failure!!! I heard about this from the news and think its HILARIOUS!!!!
7:38 "portable phone" Jonathan? was this taped in 1992?
Ha ha I cant believe they kept it up for so long!!!
I'd like to apologize for these terrible attacks, Andrew Sachs. XD mannn I love Russell.
eh? part 2 is just a 2 minuet continuation and then the rest is repeated from part 1. Anyway, this is the first time i've heard this, thanks for uploading.
Actually, him and his granddaughter have asked for a formal apology from them.
LETS RING JOHN CLEESE!!! LMAO XXX
This is funny!! Milk coming out of my nose funny... Hopefully everyone gets a sense of humour soon and Brand and Ross are back on air.
they should be banned from all the other stations now.
Hilarious! Bafta mate, promotion, not suspension!
Err.. why does this 2nd part just repeat bits from the 1st part? :S
....Directed? It wasn't directed, they're making it up as they go! "The way they're seemingly harassing an old man is hilarious" - maybe to some people...
Im young, 25, so I am not old but even I think this is in poor taste. I can't believe Russel brand got off so easily, I mean I was a huge fan of Russel but he does take things too far and if he got away with this, then he would get away with anything. Both should be suspended without pay or FIRED!
I'm 25 years of age, and wouldn't have aired that rubbish. Yes some 25 year olds haven't grown up yet, but we're not all like that!
but lets be honest, who hasn't russell brand slept with?
I agree, the fact that during the show only a few complained about it yet when the story was in the tabloids, not the most reliable of sources either as they used the worst quotes on there, over 10,000 people have suddenly complained shows that in my opinion. ha ha brings a whole lot more meaning to the word dogging
I'm sorry but the song they made up on the spot was friggin hilarious. People should realize this was purely a joke.
hilarious. isn't this looped though, halfway thru it we get the same again...
"I DIDN't FINK"
If im gonna be burgled, Thats the sort of "sorry im burgling you" treat i want
cant wait for next weeks show where russel Brand comments on his experience filming Mask with Cher
People have a right to be offended but not to excessively impose their offence upon us
They're both talented and clever but this was beyond funny, it was silly.
