    Exactly~
    Any responsible person would blow this off. Plus it is OBVIOUSLY a joke.
    Totally blown out of proportion because the media LOVES drama.
    Lets learn a lesson from Russell and not take things personally, instead use it as FUEL for our own power. Russell is constantly attacked, criticized and judged yet it only makes him stronger. If and when someone is actually doing a "bad" thing rise up and step in your power so that you are not affected by it but learn and grow from it~*~

    • @AbnormalAbbi
      @AbnormalAbbi 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Quinn Eaker hopefully in the 4 years you've made this comment you've matured a little. An old man was humiliated and bullied and his family was made a mockery on the most popular broadcaster in Britain. The media blowing up just brought more attention and shame to Andrew Sachs and his poor granddaughter. Shame on you for supporting bullying for sake of 'humour'.

    • @johnnycatt72
      @johnnycatt72 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AbnormalAbbi they didn't see it as bullying when they did it they hoped he would laugh it off with them, i would know i've made jokes that have been taken completely the opposite of how they were meant to be taken too

    You're entitled to your opinion, personally I think it was hilarious and totally blown out of all proportions because everybody wanted to jump on the moral bandwagon. It was just a joke, worse things have been said and ignored by comedians in the past.

    Also I think this is blown out of proportion because people want a distraction from the economy.
    Besides why should we worry and make a big deal about the economy. There's nothing we can do about it anyway.

  • @petemacarthur
    @petemacarthur 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well, we'll have to agree to disagree about the quality of the show in question.
    Tend to agree with your other point though, this is very much 'old news' now, there is a shitload of other, more important stuff going on right now that the british public should be focusing on.

  • @meeshmrb
    @meeshmrb 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    Plus our economy is a bigger concern because we are all included in it. Plus lots of people suffering in this world. If an 'ordinary person had done this, do you think there would be the same impact?

  • @AlfTheTroll
    @AlfTheTroll 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    Was it a mistake? Yes
    Did they do wrong? Yes
    Do they know it, and are they sorry? Yes
    It's the problem with being a celeb, everyone mucks around and jokes with mates. In the real world people don't take such offence.
    But celebs can't say anything really, say one thing and some person who doesn't even listen to the show takes offence.
    It should've stayed between Sachs, his grand daughter and the lads.
    Sachs was all good, but the media and public went mad.

    I think, at least at one point, Jonathan Ross got it absolutely right. Regarding Brands question about his (Brands) performance on the show that night, Jonathan Ross replied:
    "Overall, it was a mess.
    I know you trade off anarchy but -- it was an unentertaining mess, lets be honest.
    I think if you sat down and listened to it back youd be ashamed to your very core."

  • @killerwoz
    @killerwoz 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    this is all blown out of proportion, both are known for their 'edgy' comedy but all of sudden people dont accept it? all thats happened is that people have jumped on the band wagon and got involved with a joke that went alittle out of hand.Brand shouldnt have resigned and jonathon should be let off also.

    Do a search for Georgina Baillie aka Voluptua. You'll see why they made a reference to her. She's not as innocent as everyone makes out. Doesn't excuse the trashy radio show but she's not the innocent little kitten they're making out. Either way Andrew Sachs didn't deserve to be spammed like that

    gahahahaha fucking hilarious he rhymed menstrual with consensual. AND made it off the top of his head. Some dicks just don't have a sense of humour. People that didn't listen to the whole thing, don't understand the situation and don't take into account that Sachs forgave them.

    @DharmRakshak2 See, I don't see what chemical in peoples brains makes them think, that they can say when something is taken too far. There are way worse jokes said by people, especially british comedians. But I don't know, I guess the most famous british comedian that I have heard say any joke that is over the top, that is famous in America, is Hugh Laurie. Who isn't even a comedian where I first saw him. If you live in America, I can understand why this would be over the top culturally.

    They have made themselves look like a couple of school kids pranking for money.
    reality is both a capable of better humour, jury is still out on wheather 18mill contract.
    BBc gives ross a lay off work over xmas punishment - hardly a punishment really he is allready loaded anyway.
    question is how is he{ross} going to tone his humour down - sounds like trying to teach a camel to go fishing to me -it cannot be done.

    whoa i totally split on his issue however i think i might swing pro ross because so many people hate him ,then again when we think that he gets so much money for well never doing nay productive and thus that money could be spent on documentaries like horizon....but i suppose you could argue that against eastenders aswell...thats something i find offensive the mind numbing fucking rubbish - and we pay 139.50 a year for this shit
