Sorry to hear about your power issues. That's a cool niche thing to consider. Here in florida during hurricane season we get power outages sometimes, good to know we can optimize for backup gaming 😂
I just bought it man, thanks for the video. The 4080 super was at least 400€ more expensive, and the 4070 TI super with its VRAM and performances in 4k isn't worth.. And latest FSR tech will be available for yeaaars on the 7000 series, while the next DLSS updates are going to be locked on the newest super expensive and out of stock Nvidia cards :D
Hmm your 3070 still has legs underneath it for every game out right now or that will be out until Geforce 5000 and RDNA4. I'd say wait unless if you can get it for a really good deal like $600~
@@TheOverclockerMagazine the only problem is the 8gb vram :( I'm at 3440x1440 and there are a few games where I had to dial back quite a bit because of that 8gb. Unfortunately here in Australia the cheapest 7900xtx's are going for around $1200 usd. Hoping to grab one used at the end of the year or early next year, maybe 😭
I have this card and the Hellhound 7900XTX and can't decide which one to keep. The Gigabyte one runs a little slower and cooler and will be about $82 cheaper. A few folks said to stay with the PowerColor.
Yeah it'll be an upgrade from the 3080 for sure. However, I have it on good authority that RDNA4, out in 2024 will be leaps and bounds better than RDNA3 in terms of ray-tracing performance at the least. the high end model will also be cheaper or more affordable than the current $999 of the 7900XTX. That said, the 7900XTX is a beast of a card
je vient de faire un retour sur 7900xtx de gigabate peutre un problème de série usine mais elle crash souvent problème de calcule des pilote . même avec 3Dmarque . aucune solution trouver pour le moment en ligne .
Yo T.O.M, appreciate seeing more tech talk from the african end of life hey, keep it up, wanted to ask, whats the best place to look for a 3090 in SA? What are the best used market places?
I feel like AMD is purposefully sandbagging at this point. As much as the 7900xtx costs, they could have made that thing on par with the 4090 and really stuck it to NVidia.
The GPU is powerful enough I think, where AMD falls short is in the Ray Tracing and Image reconstruction technology area. FSR is inferior to DLSS and well ray tracing is ray tracing
@@inked-96 That's what I'm saying. They could have if they really wanted to and gave Nvidia some competition. We need more competition in the GPU space
Hey man it's awsome to see some SA reviews. Thanks for bringing reviews to SA.

Xtx gigabyte gaming oc, sapphire pulse or merc 310 black, is there any significant difference out of the box or just design
Just design. Buy the one that bets serves your pocket. I'd not even bother about the factory OC
@TheOverclockerMagazine like all 3 are at 750$ +/- 10$

Enjoy it. This is a great card, that keeps getting better with updates etc. including FSR
I cant decide. Do i get this rn to upgrade my 3070, or wait till the 5000/8000 series release, and either get one of those, or this one cheaper 😂

Thermals would have been interesting.

Shouldn't make too much of a difference. I'd take the cheaper card.
soon as i heard the accent i paused the video and subbed. we need more south africans making this type of content
Thanks mate. That's really appreciated 😎
Yo i plan to buy and upgrade this and replace my rtx 3080 is it worth it gonna buy it around early of 2024 lol

@@TheOverclockerMagazinewhen do they release the RDNA4 gen?
Hello, I heard on this edition there are some problem of stability, are they still here or they patched it ? Thanks you !
for full transparency, I had issues with the card at first, but it turned out to be the PSU and not the GPU. Replaced PSU and working flawlessly since

Definitely getting this if the rx 7800xt won't be enough
Damn good card this. If you can get it at a good price. Keeps improving with drivers, increasing it's value

I paid £1700 for my 4090 Suprim X. The XTX is 799. No chance they'd make it anywhere near as good as the 4090.

@itsathejoey They already have given nvidia some big competition by pricing their tip card lower than nvidia 3rd best card...
that high power limit is a deal breaker hence imo nvidia is better
Yeah Power draw can suck, but I've not increased my limit and in fact I've managed to reduce it while increasing or maintaining performance.
@@TheOverclockerMagazine Can it be compensated by over clocking?
Does it explode like the PSUs used to?
er.. no
