QOD: Saucony Endorphin Speed 2. They were on sale prior to the release of the 3 and fit multiple types of training in my block.

Best value shoe of this year was my second pair of Gilderide 3 for euro 100,- instead of euro 160,-. Taking a break now until after new year but am looking forward to running in 2023.
Got the Triumph 20 for $120 on sale on Saucony’s website, great value! 😊
QOD: New Balance Beacon 3. although I've problems running in this shoe, I instead use it as a walking recovery shoe. the underfoot comfort is through the roof! I love it.
Hey Seth, I also wanted to ask would you buy the Dynablast 2 over the 3? I know you would say Novablast in a heartbeat, but what you do think Dynablast 2 vs Dynablast 3.
Nabbed a pair for $39.99 at a discount department store. Might be the best value buy I’ve made, next to Skechers Go Run Trail 3 and 5 pairs I found online at a similar price. I have enjoyed the Dynablast 3 so far!
QD, easy choice. It is my Asics TriNoosa 14s. I have had more enjoyable runs in this shoe than any other. They just disappear on my feet which lets me simply focus on running.
QD: adidas had the original Prime X on sale for $105 on Prime Day in July. I’ve used it for a marathon, long runs, thresholds, tempos, and even recovery. There’s always a sale going for it or the Strung, so I’d consider it my personal best bang for the buck.
Boston 10 for sure! Easy days, long runs, tempos, fartlek!!! Im in my high school track team and it's so versatile. Only issue is that u have to break it in around 30 to 50km. Super durable and stable yet fast. Its on the firmer side but its super thick and protective
Before Christmas got a pair of Adidas Adizero Prime X Strung for 132 EUR=140 USD. Everything about that shoe is crazy but I love it!

This stack height conflicts with other info out there. The lower height seems to be how the first version was while this third version is 35/26

I wish ASICS accommodated wide feet more. They have put out some nice stuff.
Some ASICS shoes have a wide (2E) and extra wide (4E) version. They list on a different section of their website. It is weird that they do list them separately instead of picking from the same shoe page. I checked this one does not have a wide version though.
Got the Dynablast 3 for $70 from Academy a couple of weeks ago. After 40 miles of 3-7 mile runs, I like 'em. Fit and feel are like the Pegasus 39, but with more cushy and responsive midsole than the Nike React with air pads. I'm preferring the Dynablast 3 for mostly pavement, Peg 39 for mostly gravel, grass, uneven terrain and rougher pavement.
is this good for widefeet?

Seth, you gave Atreyu the Artist a 10 out of 10 on the price point as well. :) you kind of hated on that shoe overall, but it was one of those rare disagreements I had with you. I loved them! Was my Boston qualifying shoe! :)

QoD: Salomon Sense 4 pro, 90€. I wish they would make similar shoe with wider toe box, single piece upper and anti debree collar.
Qd, for me a good value purchase is a shoe that is durable and doesn't cause me injuries. So i guess the Hoka Clifton.

Nike outlet stores selling vapourfly for 85€ and alpha for €100 last week
Not best value shoe by original price but my best value purchases this year had been Adidas Takumi Sen 8 at US$72 (orig: $180), Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 at $103 (orig: $170) and Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 at $136 (orig: $225). In general best value running shoes are previous season's best shoes at deep discounts but I got lucky with current season shoes this year.
QOD: Topo Athletic Ultrafly 3, previous model generation model on sale for $70. Lower drop (5mm) and a wide toe box. Enough room for my 10.5 4e Hobbit feet 👣.

Seth, I think we could really use a subtotal score of a shoe before you include price into the equation. Here’s why:
The Novablast 3 gets a 6.6 and this shoe gets a 7.1. I don’t care if the Dynablast is FREE - it is NOT a better shoe than the Novablast. The scoring system has misrepresented both of these shoes because of the price.
QD: The Brooks Revel v5 are good $100 MSRP shoes too. With a full outsole, I like them for road to trail. I really wish Saucony had kept the Kinvara at $110. Even with inflation, the $120 they're asking for now just doesn't seem right.

With all of last years shoes, you still tend to review; isn't it more wise to cluster, say..., 3 shoes together in one vid so you are up to speed when the new season kicks in? Still value your review, but for some of them, the relevance of the review tends to be lower than brand new shoes. Those reviews exite me the most.

Not close. Best value running shoe for last few years is Reebok FF Energy. Or step up to Symmetros. Not as good as value as the FF energy but more shoe. The Reebok foam and durability are outstanding. And ride is sweet

I would imagine that midsole needs to be ridiculously durable to not collapse down into those huge forefoot grooves over time, like at least as durable as the most durable beaded Pebax (think Saucony Everrun). Maybe these shoes have it, but my gut feeling is "not quite"... I'll leave a legit high milage test to someone else.

You aren’t really qualified to rate running shoes. Too much of what YOU like. Not what is objectively accurate or useful for most runners.
The Novablast 3 at $140 MSRP is my best value running shoe of 2022. It has been a Swiss Army Knife of versatility and just keeps going and going making it a great value. I was able to snag several other great shoes at a discount, but ended up returning them for one reason or another, be it fit or function. Second place goes to the Endorphin Speed 2 at $112 (30% off).
speed 3 vs 2 did you check them?
@@tadejdanev5030 I tried the Speed 3 and Speed 3 Runshield (RS). I liked the Speed 3's springiness, but it's fore-/mid-foot lockdown was not as good as the Speed OG and it felt unstable when cornering. The Speed 3 RS had good lockdown, but was softer than the Speed 3 and felt a bit too soft. I returned them both and picked up the Speed 2, which seems similar to the Speed OG, although I have not yet run in them.
Asics Hyper Speed 2! $90 for a tweener tempo day + daily trainer (if you like a mid-low stack)
I was going to by the hyper speed but didn’t because of the lower stack but I’ll probably get them the next time I need a shoe
