Great review! I would go further and say its the best daily trainer of 2020, and it can do longruns also. I feel the Dynablast is what the Glideride should have been. Its what the Pegasus or Beacon should have been. Its really bouncy for me too, and when I hold the Glideride next to it the stackhight is taller. Maybe thats because of the size 12. I am very glad I did not buy the Novablast, and should probably have bought the Evoride instead of Glideride. I feel the shoes with medium stackhight are better , especially with the new materials. So SL-20, Torrent 2 and Dynablast are my favourites from 2020 and they could do both short to long runs in different paces. The upper in the Dynablast is just perfect with a wider fit, very comfortable. Very impressed with this shoe! And maybe the most fun shoe I have ever ran in! Doesnt feel like 12 mm! And the quality of the insole, I thought Kayano had a good insole but this is the best insole I have ever used. 😃👍
I really enjoyed the novablast initially. Loved the energy return and bounciness! Unfortunately, for an overpronator like myself, the structure wasn't there. My feet were pushed towards the inside. Now they're relegated to short recovery runs. I'd love an Asics cocktail with a metaracer upper, novablast midsole, glideride rocker but with a plate for stiffness! Perhaps that Aics prototype spotted at the London Marathon will be the one.
This is firmer and more structured for sure. Still some good response from it. Much better initial impression in this shoe than the novablast for me. Thanks me for watching. 😊👍🏼🏃🏻♂️
Nice review! That 12 mil drop does make for a different ride in a non race shoe. The Brooks Ghost comes to mind with a drop like that. Heavier but super comfortable

EDDBUD yeah the ROADBLAST did remind me a lot of the Boston or SL20 and I know you like those ones. With my current injury I have no “need” (literally) for any shoes for a bit so think will sit on this one for now especially if you say is wide. I did however size down to a 12 in ROADBLAST compared to NOVABLAST where had 13 and the ROADBLAST then actually felt relatively narrow with odes again to those adidas adizero shoes.

I wonder whether or not your description of “a plush SL20” will pique interest in others. I mean, that shoe has quite the fanbase. You immediately grabbed my attention when you made that claim. Maybe I’ll consider them for my Missus when she wears through the Cumulus 22 I recently bought her. She’s as keen on ASICS as I am adidas. ✌🏽🖤🏃🏽♂️

I think this is a replacement for the Dynaflyte. If you've never tried that and gone straight to the Dynablast, I think you're only getting a bit of the picture but only comparing them to the Novablast. My experience with the Dynaflyte is similar to that with the Nike Pegasus Turbo - they initially ran well but flattened out in the midfoot after a few miles. I'm curious as to whether the Dynablast will be closer to the Dynaflyte or the Novablast.

Hey there! a. Yes a little softer than the beacon and better grip on the outsole. Will last longer I predict than the Beacon outsole wise. b. This isn’t as squashy as fuelcell. A more stable ride than the novablast here. Hope this helps George. 👍🏼😊🏃🏻♂️
considering the Dynablasts, im looking for something with a higher heel drop, currently running some asics with 8mm drop at the moment, im a heel striker and have high arches, im starting to develop some ankle & achilles pain when running, can anybody offer any insight or have any experience? thanks
These have a very high drop. 12mm I think, upper is a little large and I don’t think it makes the best shoe to alleviate your issues. Maybe even look at the novablast but examine the sizing carefully. If you have high arches how about the infinity react flyknit 2?
@@EDDBUD im pretty new to the running game, up until the last few months just ran in whatever i had for shoes and never did it consistently at all. i am running in asics nimbus 21s right now, i might start with trying some high arch insoles and go from there, but probably going to need new shoes soon anyways so starting to research what might be best for my issues, so im welcome to any suggestions. ill look into the flyknit 2s thanks
I recently changed the laces on my Novablast for laces from my Gel-Excite 7. Much, much better than the cheese wire that cuts into the top of the foot on the standard items. Definitely won't be buying the Dynablast..
If I were more of a heel striker then I would definitely be looking at the Mizuno Wave Rider Neo right now, looks a great everyday shoe for a heel striker.

The best thing about Novablast is the midsole, if they changed that, nothing great about it remains.

The dynablast is ok but I felt it was quite aggressive in the drop and not as versatile as I would like.
How do you find knit uppers cope in repeated wet/bad weather? I have a few knitted upper shoes but don't want to ruin them!
