Man, this perfectly encapsulates the feeling of a Jedi who has been in hiding finally revealing themselves to help someone simply because they can't sit in silence anymore. When I tell you I got CHILLS listening to this.
I get chills every time I hear this song, and I get shills throughout the entire episode. Especially when she revealed herself! So epic. Loved her dialogue there too
She was hiding physicly and mentally becayse she uffered survivior's guilt after the battle where her master died. Her cutting her padawan braid and taking off her mask was symbolic of her moving on.
"You can't change the rivers flow by casting A stone. But... live in harmony with nature and you'll change together. The people of this world know that well. You know that the breath of life becomes wind and will always respond. Magina, may you rise. And...may the force be with you."
didn't get it, really strange that she told that and after that just beat this guy, it just proves that power approach works better than peaceful way doesn't it? 🤔 Thought village didn't got anything from brides sacrifice till some random jedi didn't saved them.
@@НикитаМизин-ъ9э If you live in harmony with nature, then nature will provide for your needs. If you take care of nature, it will grow, and together you will change together. The breath of life becomes wind and will always respond. Much like a waterfall, you can't stop the force of nature and its flow, if you fight it, you will experience its wrath. When F said "Magina, may you rise," it was meant for nature and its people who understand its value to protect itself against foreign invaders like how the human body protects itself against viruses. Using power to abuse and using strength to protect are two different cases. When white blood cells attack and kill viruses that's not power, it is for survival and self-preservation. Same with Magina and the Jedi F. The breath of life becomes the wind and will always respond. It is nature responding.
"The force is an all living things" nothing better encapsulates that like this episode. A culture of people who have their interpretation of the force and live in harmony with nature. The young jedi visiting the world of her master's heritage to learn about it was another great touch
2nd best. I still say Hob and the entire Japanese history is better(From the empire forcing their way into their society, to them actualy TEACHING them advanced stuff and technology, to the try of shifting that planet to their culture, wich many didnt like(basicaly US appears , force enters japan and starts westernising it). They changed the role of Masamune, the Emperors Sword thou, into a Blade that inspires Hope for the future. Its the second best by far thou, that much i admit. Rarely we see a Jedi doing JEDI STUFF these day's, and remember : F is a Temple Guardian (Thus Yellow lightsaber), she was indoctrinated by the stupidness of the post KOTOR/TOR era jedi sadly. Still, she did the most Jedi thing out of all movies(INCLUDING all 6 original SW movies) that much we can agree on. That said : The force is again this : THE FORCE, not some stupid reasoning or thing in your blood. EVERYONE can wield it, everyone can listen to it. Force wielder are only better at doing so, not because some microbacteria in their blood, but because they have a natural ability to be calm enogh to listen. Those beings also exist here on earth, we call them Monk. They have learned throughout history to remain calm and focus their mind. Its not in their blood its in their training and self disciplin. That out the way, i hope this one as well as Hob get the deserved series out of them(ofc. then please F without mask more! Despite her scar she is beautifull AF, that much one HAS to admit(might be my weakness for tsundere style chars, and she is one of them being all like "i didnt help you because i like you and your thoughts"). Atm. there are only talks about "The ninth Jedi" to be turned into one as that thing basicaly killed all the rules about lightsabers ever AND how sith and jedi work.
The Village Bride was my #1 favorite episode of Star Wars Visions. The Soundtrack especially was breathtaking, haunting and phenomenal. BRAVO Kevin Penkin! In my arrangement, I sprinkled The Force Theme, Rey's Theme and a touch of Made in Abyss Theme. Comment "I am a Jedi" if you can hear all the themes! EDIT: For those asking about the lyrics, it is most likely a made-up language. My singer and I did our best to transcribe the lyrics from the episode.
Okay, this is insane. I was just thinking about when you might release your version of this sound track a couple of hours ago and lo and behold l, it’s here! Thanks for making it!
For me, this was the best episode for multiple reasons: Absolutely gorgeous world, and it’s animated so well; the writers taking the worldbuilding at the right pace and there was never a dull moment with me; the animation is beautiful, stellar, and overall simple; the story is powerful; and the score is one of the most beautiful things I’ve heard in a while. But what really impressed me the most was how organically woven the worldbuilding was in the story, actually helping it along instead of there being boring monologues or something like that where someone has to take a good five minutes or so to explain, while “The Village Bride” just integrates it into the story without giving us too much or little. In my opinion, it’s a powerful story. 15/10.
@@friendlyneighborhoodspeedw6541 the story was about a padawan who recently lost her master observing the local customs of her master’s homeworld. The people are very in-tune with the planet to the point where they visualize moments from the planet’s own memories. She observes a small wedding ceremony because the bride agreed to take her grandpa’s place as a political hostage to raiders that reprogrammed a bunch of old battle droids. It shows the padawan’s growth into a full Jedi as she defends the village. It also shows the first character that is a sentinel-class Jedi. Great fighters who mainly guarded the temple.
@@andrewstephens1531 sorry im super confused watching most of the episodes because there is hardly any context. Half of the time I don't know what's going on. Like the third episode I liked kinda but the lack of information of everything that's going on made it bad for me. And then this episode. To be honest even if I knew this information I honestly think it's still averaging generic with the whole bandit taking over town idea. Besides that I really liked the episode.
@@friendlyneighborhoodspeedw6541 that’s what happens when you make a show based around short stories. Plus each episode is by an entirely different studio. It’s kinda like that show on Netflix Love, Death and Robots.
I'm gonna have to disagree. I rather see the ninth Jedi become Canon considering it's the one that felt the most Like star wars. 1. It wasn't silly or out of place and it incorporated actual star wars Canon in the episode. 2. It was a safe story to tell considering it's timeline takes place years into the future where SW fans don't know much about yet. 3. It was the only episode out of all of them that actually acknowledged how lightsaber really work when it comes to emotion. Overall lovely episode. Hope to see more if it.
@@matthewflores4183 yea im agree but the description of the force in the village bride and see a finally a reel yellow light saber user who use mostly there tech for fighting thats what she did.
I don't know how it was possible, but with nearly no lengthy backstory or time to connect to the characters I found myself tearing up in a few parts, especially the I am a Jedi part. The music helped so much in this emotional experience.
Village Bride is one of my favorite shorts from _Star Wars Visions_ not just for its animation, story and it's characters but for the soundtrack that can be warm, quiet, emotional, majestic and epic. Plus, the composer Kevin Penkin has worked on several video games and anime such as Made in Abyss, _Tower of God_ and recently Netflix's _Eden_ so big props to Kevin for the score and especially the singer (Emi Evans) who provided the vocals in this episode as I got goosebumps listening to her voice in several scenes throughout the episode.
I want a whole series from "The Village Bride" and "The Ninth Jedi". I was never able to watch the star wars but i will love to watch Star wars as an Anime.
"The Ninth Jedi" was my favorite episode out of the bunch🤩! After the disappointment that was episode 9 (I did really like 8 though, so please don't get the wrong idea), continuing the story from "The Ninth Jedi" and making it canon is the only sane way for Disney to move forward!
I stopped at the village bride but I’m gonna finish the rest tonight. I always wondered why no one had bothered to translate Star Wars into anime but visions is good so far
@@patrickblanchette4337 you might be correct about the story from ep5 but i will love to see ep4 art style and music in canon anime, if disney will ever make it.
Out of all the soundtracks, this one in "The Village Bride" is the most majestic and ethereal. And the build-up to F revealing herself before Saku's defense was the real cherry on top.
This episode hits you differently if you enjoy the quintessential and charmingly simplistic storytelling of the OT. Not to mention it also features heavy parallels to the OT in how it conveys its dialogue, characterisation and interpretation of the Force. Everything is precise, contemplative, never over the top and a lot of people will reductively refer to this as “slow burn.” An example is near the end when F declares “I am a Jedi,” and ignites her saber. You get major parallels to when Luke says the *exact* same line on the Death Star in the presence of the Emperor, except he throws away his saber. Both F and Luke in those moments cast aside their fear, and for lack of a better term “surpass themselves,” since everything prior is building towards it. F has her trauma from Order 66, losing her master and 99% of the Jedi Order, whilst Luke is struggling internally with his anger, the thought of having to kill his own father and having to bring down the Emperor. I think it’s these types of moments and storytelling that elevate this episode to the top of fan favourite lists. You enjoy seeing things that are not simply over the top, flashy and overly choreographed lightsaber fights that are shoehorned in just because “they’re cool.” But when there is a meaningful purpose behind it, it impacts you so much more. This is something the OT embodies and this episode is clearly inspired by.
I loved this episode and I love this analysis. I would actually rather see a book/story about her than the Ronin character (not that he wasn't also pretty awesome and a unique take on the whole mythos). I'm actually also fascinated by the premise behind the Twins.
@@mrrant_8065 okay, cool. I thought that it was just something from a fanfiction which everyone else liked. Apparently not. Hell, I don't think that Star Wars: Visions is even *old* enough to have it's own fanfictions just yet.
The Village Bride embraced what it was like for a Jedi to be in hiding after Order 66, like Cal Kestis, Obi-Wan, Kannan, and Ahsoka. The music really captivates the rise and return of a fallen warrior.
Honestly, besides the amazing soundtrack, what really kicked me off my chair in this episode was when she said, "I'm a Jedi", but not because of the obvious revelation, but rather because she had a Gold/Yellow Lightsaber. So this does not only mean that she was just a Jedi, but rather a Jedi Sentinel, which was iirc, one of the rarest type of Jedi to ever exist by the time of the clone wars and are the only ones who are officially known to wield a Gold/Yellow Lightsaber. Jedi Sentinels in SW legends, are Jedi that chose to, or are tasked with interacting with the people, mostly because they are tasked with administration. They are also believed to be one of the most complex type of Jedi because they don't just fight or work for the interests of the Jedi Temple but also for the people. So even if this Episode happened post order 66, her actions makes sense and she would be literally something like "the last of her kind".
Glad to see I’m not the only one who freaked out. Sentinels are probably some of the best in the Order considering how they interact with other worlds and cultures, plus they know how to balance restraint with force when necessary, which was another nice detail to see that she didn’t go crazy like a guardian would but instead opted to go for a single clean strike.
Well, more plausible she is Jedi after she make her decision and abandon mask and cut padawan braid. Colors of lightsaber more of in-game pseudo classes and have sense only in alteration of setting with blacksmith of lightsabers, when crystals chanel personality and connection with the Force
@@iliya_dobromyslov Jedi Sentinels do exist and only they "officially" wield a Golden Lightsaber. Not much is really known about them as I said, they are already rare. However, they did get featured in the clone wars animated series so they're not just some pseudo class from that old star wars game and whatnot. They have an established lore in the star wars legends comics
They need to do a complete anime with this animation, this ost, those two main characters, these voices, this loyalty to the star wars universe (not doing triple ultra lightsabers or shit like that but just using guns and normal lightsabers, like samurais but with a lightsaber that's so fucking class). It's the first time in Star Wars Vision that I felt the fondamentals of a true anime like Naruto, Demon Slayer this sort of "commercial" anime that we all like. We all need that.
Tbh tho the lightsaber umbrella was both ridiculous and awesome for some reason lol. And this is coming from someone who hated it when I saw it in the trailer.
@@comm154 It doesn't break any of the rules of lightsabers in Star Wars. It makes sense for a sith to do something over the top, and in the end she still had a normal lightsaber to use for actual combat.
@@IIBloodXLustII yep the fact that the umbrella was just an atachment for the normal lightsaber made It awesome as before i learned It i wholehearthly heated it
Hands down the best episode. Primarily because it felt self-contained? I mean, it didn't feel like we needed more, which is my main quibble with the other favourites.
The ninth Jedi was the best. Every other SW fan seems to love it aswell and I can see why. 1. it's really the only episode that feels truly like star wars. 2. It used actual star wars Canon and incorporated it within it's story. 3. It was safe to tell because it was set years into the future where we haven't explored the history of SW yet. Overall the ninth Jedi made the most sense and was amazing.
@@matthewflores4183 actually it goes against canon in that Jedi make their own lightsabers by first finding the kyber crystal that is paired to them, but it was one of my favorite episodes.
Wow yes your exactly right, I would love for this episode to get its own series but it had a pretty good ending that leaves you satisfied, unlike lop and ocho and the ninth Jedi to name a few. Still though this is probably the episode that I’d LOVE to have it’s own series the most the Jedi in it was my favorite one of the Jedi we got.
The music just captures the feeling of how the Jedi are now just scattered across the galaxy and hiding from the empire until they help people here and there from injustices they can prevent. Like this episode is one of my favorites because it captures how normal people would see a Jedi a mysterious figure who can change all odds against them.
This is how Darth Sidious hunt them down. Bringing fear and despair draws out the Jedis that can't help themselves to help and bring justice to the needy.
@@rogueascendant6611which only shows how absurdly smart Obi-Wan was, a criminal capital, the one place where his good actions will still be dwarfed by the amount of crimes happening where he isnt no matter what he does that doesnt involve going to far
In all my 10 years of being a Star Wars fan, I have never been geared to something like this episode since Revenge Of The Sith. Everything about this episode was amazing, the masked Jedi, the lightsaber, the world building, the climax, and the freaking theme. Background music hasn't gotten my nerves to get so excited and relaxed in a long time. This episode made me feel like Star Wars was finally back!
People looking for more music in the style of Village Bride, check out the NieR: Automata & Replicant soundtracks, it's the same vocal artist and has a similar vibe. Cannot recommend them enough!
Do you recommend any one (or two) soundtrack from those games in particular? There are just so many and i don't know were to start. Would you be so kind to recommend one to get me started 🙏😌
imo Visions had no bad episode. The creative liberties taken in each episode were flexible enough to tell their own kind of Star Wars story while still keeping in line a good amount of what makes them Star Wars. Representing Jedi (during what I assume as the transitional period from the Republic to the Empire) as wandering ronin, writing stories about this time period in the galaxy with people wanting to fight back against the greater evils, or just even surviving in the world. The idea of lightsabers colors changing almost instantaneously as well as a droid able to become in-tune with the Force may be offputting in terms of lore, but the stories they tell with those episodes are still very Star Wars. And let's not forget locales. One of the strongest parts of a science fantasy story is visiting a variety of locations that both look like something you'd see here on Earth, but also be exotic enough to believe it is an entirely different planet. Villages being pillaged by bandits, an entire culture revolving around the Force as a part of nature, a planet that was slowly being taken over by the Empire, and so on. And let's not forget the talent behind the making of these stories ranging from the anime studios to the music and even the voices. All these together and I truly believe this is a must-watch for both Star Wars and anime fans alike.
Idk man there were some episodes that were not great for me. Episode 2 especially, was basically a typical music anime with star wars influence. Of course all of the episodes pacing were really weird and quick, but i cant blame them, they only have like max 16 mins, which is weird and idk why they didnt get a normal 20+ min timeline. The only episodes i enjoyed were 1, this one, and i think the elder, but even then the elder one was very weak.
@@Artis312 I still see that episode as good because: -cameos by Boba and Jabba -a Jedi-turned musician during the Galactic Civil War which is something you don't really see -a break from your usual "good vs evil" story Star Wars usually tells It shows that there can be more happening within Star Wars beyond "dark side bad, light side good" and it's interesting to explore those parts of the Star Wars universe. I will agree that not every episode is amazing, but like I said I don't think there's a necessarily bad episode.
@@Сайтамен I'll agree that the Twins episode is probably the weakest episode because it's barely Star Wars through the setting and is carried by Trigger being Trigger. Also lol Holdo Maneuver but with a lightsaber. Can't get any more Trigger than that. But yeah still not a bad episode imo because Trigfer knows how to entertain the eyes.
Emi Evans and Kevin Penkin as a pair for a soundtrack is something I never would have thought of but now I want more of them together. I know that many people do not like the stories of the High Republic, but when I read again that the Jedi master Avar Kriss feels the force as music, I will definitely think about this composition
I like the books. They aren’t Timothy Zahn quality, but overall very enjoyable. I think the reason people have a problem with them is because they play it kind of safe in the sense that there isn’t anything super new introduced in them other than dark side plants, which isn’t super out of left field anyway. I wasn’t left shocked by anything, but I think that makes sense since the republic was much smaller back then and it was a time of peace. The Nihil are good antagonists and quite interesting. I just wished the books focused a bit more on the force, but I’ve only read two so far. Very excited for the acolyte.

The slightly modified "The force" motif at 2:40 lands so well. This entire show is such a great way of staying in universe and giving homage to the originals whilst doing something completely new. Hope we see more similar things in the future.
OK, The Force Suite leitmotif at 2:40, literally had me in tears... There are few moments greater in Star Wars, then watching a fully realized Jedi, become a legend, and what a truly legendary track you've made.
I'd say 40% of the quality of the episode stems from the score alone. Which doesn't mean it's a bad episode without the score, but I can tell how much the score elevates this to pure beauty beyond most projects out there.

We can even see how her character was meant to be without the trauma through her clothings. High heels that morph? A flat-bladed yellow lightsaber? Even how her hair is styled. We get so many hints that she used to be such a colorful character that's now been completely closed off from the world due to her trauma and her circumstances of being a Jedi in a galaxy that now hunts them down
I would literally die if they would add Darth Revan in anime. It would be so cool to seem him fight. Perhaps do his theme with some anime cover ( I don't watch anime, so don't know any good songs that could with Revan's theme.)
This ost alone makes me cry. It's the most whimsical star wars has made me feel since the original trilogy. I love this series, despite not even being cannon and being a freaking anime, It's the purest form of star wars that I've experienced since the original trilogy
I genuinely wish people saw this more cuz this is an absolute masterpiece. Always finding myself listening to it at least once a day since it was released
"The bride of the village" was wonderful. This episode triggered emotions in me and could touch me; that was Star Wars. I think, for me, “The Bride of the Village” conveyed the classic Star Wars feeling best. That was the George Lucas and Dave Filonie Star Wars in its climax, only with a lot less humor, which is perfect. The fascination of this episode resulted from the perfect coordination of various factors. It was like a great recipe whose mixture of ingredients and coordination served us a feast. On the one hand there was the tranquility and the beautiful nature of the planet; In addition, the appearance and atmosphere of the planet triggered in me the idea and the need to be able and want to live there seriously. Then there was the course of the story and the fact that it was located between episodes 3 and 4. It was down-to-earth, wasn't too over the top and gave me the feeling that the short episode in this form could actually have taken place in canon. I was presented with a really great picture of power in just a few seconds. You and the episode itself looked very mystical. Next there was the animation style with its soft colors and lines, but still clear colors, which made every thing aesthetically and particularly stand out. The music in this episode was outstanding and is appropriate to the given situation. It resonated to the point exactly with what I should feel and sense for the given situation on the part of the creator. On top of that, the staging towards the end of the attack by the power sprint was phenomenal. That was the moment when I got goose bumps and was just flashed. Last but not least, I would like to briefly talk about the bond between the princess and the boy. I am very enthusiastic about monogamous love relationships in anime, I have a weakness for that. And the relationship between these two was designed to be loving and unifying. That was pretty nice. There are definitely other points to address that made the episode so great. And deeply analytically, I did not go into the factors mentioned so far. Nevertheless, it is in my first place and a 10/10. The series in general was fantastic. Furthermore, episode 5: The Ninth Jedi and episode 8: Lop & Ochō share second place. During these two episodes, tears came to me at very specific moments. And third place for me is “The Duel”. This episode was really cool and epic.
I really loved this episode. Out of all the stories, this was my favorite. No need for lightsaber on lightsaber combat. The message of the force and nature really resonated. The music was powerful and the characters deep. I want more to F's story. I hope Disney allows this to go further. I wish the artwork wasn't private. There isn't much out there on Google. I really love this image and it would look epic as a desktop background. The same goes for the image you used for the Twitter post. Good job with the cover. I've watched it over a dozen times already.
Kevin Penkin is one of the best and most splendid, most majestic, most magnificent and most fantastic music composers in the anime industry today, and his participation in the first season of Star Wars: Visions (2021 -) in the 4th episode "The Village Bride" amply demonstrates this. You covered the OST of this episode, Samuel Kim. And for that, I congratulate you and I shake your hand for that.
Im so glad you made a song. This episode blew my mind honestly. They encapsulated what has been missing from Star Wars for so long with incredible worldbuilding, characters, and story in such a short time.
I felt like crying while listening to this… Fantastic work like always!!! ❤️ Going to be watching Star Wars visions tonight with dad and brother, this really hyped me up. Edit: ok yeah no that series was amazing, I have my top 5 favourites, don’t get me wrong I liked them all, but I really love episodes 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8 the most. ⭐️
Favorite episode from Visions by far. That, that was Star Wars. Best Star Wars since Clone Wars S07E09-12 or Mando S02E08. Sam, your cover was great. Thank you.
I know it might sound weird, but in my opinion you should totally cover some Courage the Cowardly Dog's soundtrack. If you listen to them, you will realize how epic they are and how great it would be to have them in a great quality made by you. Some examples are: - Harvest Moon - Dr. Zalost Tower (which is awesome in the episode) - Windmill Vandals (my favourite)
Most iconic theme out of Visions in my opinion. The 9th Jedi and The Duel have their share of great themes, but something about the Village Bride just sets it apart from the others in an distinct way that makes it unforgettable.
I AM A JEDI!!! I love the part at 2:40 where the vocals sounds like The Force theme but escalates into its own thing. Very subtle but gorgeous. AMAZING job with this cover!
Yesterday was the last session of the RPG I play. My character, a halfling bard, finally freed his people's village from the curse of a demon, and returned safely to the village of his friend, only to find out he died trying to protect the village from a fire tornado. My character, in homage to his friend, played a music on his funeral. My master gave me the option to choose the music, and with no doubts in mind, this was the music I chose. The last music playing on the background when I finished the campaign, and now it'll always remind me of the adventure I had as that Halfling Bard, growing from a naive exiled boy to a full fledged adventurer, musician and warrior. Thank you, Samuel Kim, for this amazing rendition of the OST, and all the memories and emotions it carries with it.
So epic. Loved her dialogue there too
Kind of remind those same feeling with Cal saving his friend from a fatal fall and getting discovered by the empire simply because he saved someone.
@@Sebastianguitar01 EXACTLY! I love those moments!

You can also change the rivers flow with dynamite, or else by casting 10,000 stones.
"The force is an all living things" nothing better encapsulates that like this episode. A culture of people who have their interpretation of the force and live in harmony with nature. The young jedi visiting the world of her master's heritage to learn about it was another great touch

Let’s be honest. This is one of, if not the best Visions episode.

Ninth Jedi was my favourite but this was great eps.

Can you do Lop and Ocho as well, specifically the ending fight scene, the music, action, and emotions felt was similar to the Original Trilogy imo
Man i've search this song during all day and you made it! may the force bless you
Wow, thanks for adding Rey's Theme. Honestly, I consider it to be one of John Williams' masterpiece.
Wait can someone explain what the story was about? I'm super confused

This episode hits you differently if you enjoy the quintessential and charmingly simplistic storytelling of the OT. Not to mention it also features heavy parallels to the OT in how it conveys its dialogue, characterisation and interpretation of the Force. Everything is precise, contemplative, never over the top and a lot of people will reductively refer to this as “slow burn.”
An example is near the end when F declares “I am a Jedi,” and ignites her saber.

Goddamn. I almost forgot that the sentinels a huge part of legends
Thanks for the info
I WAS THINKING THAT
O_o
imo Visions had no bad episode.
@@Artis312 I still see that episode as good because:
-cameos by Boba and Jabba
-a Jedi-turned musician during the Galactic Civil War which is something you don't really see

Bro yes
Would love to see this character brought into canon. She kind of reminds me of Ahsoka.
"I am a Jedi."
"I am no Jedi."
she's the definition of a real jedi Like Qui-gon Jin,Yoda cause they all trust only in the force and not others
@@PrincessTwilightdash - Not so sure of that. Jinn trusted in Obi-Wan and Anakin. And while things didn't turn out as he had hoped, in the end, that trust was rewarded.
She doesn't remind me of Ahsoka at all...more like Prince Ashitaka, from Princess Mononoke.
@@PrincessTwilightdash bro yoda literally let himself be turned into a war pawn lol. the prequels showed the downfall of the Jedi and how it was their own fault for straying from the "true way" of the jedi. the jedi are also inhereintely flawed with their fear and repulsion of the dark side imo. the galaxy needs balance, they need to accept both the light and the dark. just keep them under control
luke is busy teaching Baby Yoda then he senses something in the force. he goes to the Jedi temple entrance and she's right there. in her late twenties to mid thirties
"Twilight approaches, and night must fall. That is the way of things; the way of the Force." - Yoda
This was her master's world, and he died defending it, leaving her alone. And for what? This planet just found a new threat to endanger it.
And yet the Force brought her back here. Dragged her here despite her mourning. Why couldn't it just let her go? Just to see other's suffering loss as well?
No. The Force was here to set them free. It knew that until she saw others about to lose what they loved up close, she would never move on. The ghosts that haunted her would never leave her unless she let them go. The pain she felt was not unique, but was felt by all living things, even the Force. If she wanted to heal, she had to be a part of the healing.
The cycle of pain and grief was broken. Pain had lasted for the night, but joy comes in the morning. Such is the way of things; the Way of the Jedi.

At the same moment that I was watching the chapter and the music played, I thought that I could never hear this soundtrack only in the series. I immediately thought that I would love for kim to make an OST of this chapter. Kim you have read my mind. Thanks for all the work that you do.
The subtle Rey's theme that was snuck in a few minutes before the force theme is the icing on the cake.
"Impressive, most impressive!" Is not even the right words to describe this masterpiece.
Sitting in the Train and Hearing this live makes life so much better
Oh my goddddd this is totally how Avar hears the force
Chills. My god this score is haunting and awe inspiring. And holy shit that little bit of the Force theme at 2.39 rocked me. Didn't notice it in the animated short itself.
I think Samuel just added it there, but it absolutely rocked!
Go outside, walk through forests, watch the sunset or look at the sea if you can. With this masterpiece I feel like the world is fine and all there is is love and harmony, I'm just happy everytime I hear this, just beautiful! :)
This and the 9th Jedi were the best episodes in my opinion. This one was very poetic and beatiful. It had weight and emotion. You immedietly became invested in it. Compared to the over the top absurd fighting episode with the twins, the one with the furry girl, and the one which was basically a rockin roll band, this was a masterpiece.
I just watched this whole series and this is my absolute favourite episode of the lot. The only problem I have is that I want more of it. Now I begrudgingly accept the anime fans biggest weakness, the hope that we will get another episode or more because I can't get enough of it.
This is straight up NieR territory. Probably the best addition to SW osts in a long time.

The 17 minutes of this episode did a better job of introducing a well written strong female character with a yellow lightsaber than all the hours of Movie 7-9

@@JaimeD. if it brings any comfort, Dave filoni found a loop hole that technically makes 7-9 non-canon.
Filoni did Star Wars rebels which is confirmed to be canon by Disney and Lucas. (spoilers ahead) in the middle of the show, Ashoka kicks the bucket fighting Vader however later on, Ezra figures out time travel (I’m simplifying cause I don’t remember how that arc worked) and pulled her out of that timeline to create a new timeline. This timeline is the one that the mandalorian is operating on and due to their being no confirmation of Ashoka being around after the prequel movies, you could argue that filoni’s timeline is the true canon timeline where he confirmed that none of 7-9 happened.
@@silentwraith9674 Yeah. Saw a video about episodes 7-9 being an alternative reality. And that Rebels is canon. Hope to see an Ahsoka live action with Rosario Dawson. Dave Filoni has done a good job with Star Wars alongside John Favrou.

@@william_long1065 It's because every single interaction we've had with her was pure character development. No fluff; no fat. Every scene we had with her had an intended purpose. We see how she has a connection with this world because it was her master's home. We see the trauma she still goes through having to witness the master's death, presumably from Order 66. How her companion implies during the wedding that she's much more passionate about justice and freedom than she lets herself off. And how we can finally see that come to a peak when she does decide to break her code and intervenes in the last bit.
