Polaroid film used to develop before your eyes, it had bright, vibrant colours, it was stable, it wasn’t very touchy with temperature, it could sit out in sunlight and develop. It was actually better than Instax film back in the day. Unfortunately the new Polaroid film isn’t quite there yet. I don’t get everyones obsession with the new Polaroid film having a vintage look. Original Polaroid photos taken on original Polaroid film, it just looked vibrant and sharp, like a proper photograph. Most old Polaroid pictures look better than the new ones, even 20 year old photos. The latest versions of the new Polaroid film are not as finicky letting it develop in light. I recommend shielding it from strong UV outside daylight but indoors, in ambient light, it will develop okay just left on the table. The opacifier is strong enough for ambient light exposure during development.
yes, nothing compares to the older 70's Polaroid stock - it's great it's back again in some form, but still doesn't compare to the older films. This new stuff is so unstable compared to the Polaroid SX films.
