tetris 99 was the first modern tetris game i played, i was in a similar position where i could barely get in the top 50... but then it slowly started to click and i slowly improved over a few months! now i've played for over 5 years so i'm able to get 1st pretty consistently 😛
there are """official""" tetris games on mobile that used to have online play but they've been stripped of all that for seemingly no reason, so instead of those i would recommend techmino (my original comment got deleted)
