Okay, so bait strat. You're picking off the people who are dumb enough to target KOs and not switch off of you when you're full-on in bait strat. You could expand on this by suggesting getting to top 50 and then switching briefly to Badges so the best player in the lobby gets a big spike with less time to react, or picking off individual threats manually, or waiting a few seconds in between launching large attacks so your opponents waste their downstacks countering your first chunk before giving them another one, as anything above 12 lines in your damage queue is simply ignored.

T99 is dead bro. You're fighting bots... I wish there were more players, but unfortunately, it didn't last as long. It's a fun game, and if I were to revive it right now with a snap, I would, but you're the first person I've seen that actually plays it aside from me (cuz I want some achievements). Keep going and maybe the game will make a comeback
the game has died down but they're real people that you play against, only sometimes are even PART of the lobby bots (at least when i play)

tetris 99 was the first modern tetris game i played, i was in a similar position where i could barely get in the top 50... but then it slowly started to click and i slowly improved over a few months! now i've played for over 5 years so i'm able to get 1st pretty consistently 😛
