I've been seeing a few comments about this, so just to clear up the confusion: You can reach dark mode in practice mode in the current version of the level. I updated the level after this video was basically done, so this bit didn't make it in. If you do this, there's a wall at the end of dark mode that stops you from beating it in normal mode.

11:55 yes, you can actually move the player like an object by using the teleport trigger. by looping the teleport trigger 240 times per second (which is the physics tick rate) you can essentially tie the player's position to a point and moving the point is essentially the same as moving the player, since their position updates every tick. There are also options to ignore x or y teleportation, so you could even make custom speeds, smooth speed transition, dashing and whatnot using teleport loops. using a teleport loop also gives a unique result on the ship, the ship will rotate to whatever direction it is going. This allows the ship to do loop de loops and weird flight paths.
how to make robtop give your level stars but not creator points: 1. Make a good level 2. Make a spike in the end that kills you 100% 3. When you revive you're in a lobotomy level
The city looks exactly like Castelia city from pkmn black and white the bridge makes it perfect and the fact that you also played bw music makes it almost certain that you got inspired by it
oh thats neat! im doing something similar which is a level that houses 2 levels using slightly different versions of the same song, but the difference is you have to die at the end of the first to go to the second. might pick it back up someday. great video!

I actually play the level and it was pretty fun :) ! But there is smth at the UFO and wave part where whatever the mode, it's always wave. Anyways, well done!
Great video it was really well made. Same for the level. It has really good decoration transitions and it had a great idea. The only thing I didn’t like was the gameplay. It was sometimes awkward and wacky.
there is a rated level using a bug in 2.1 which allowed 2 player mode to change levels. i think the level was made by vortox(?) not sure. youve to do it multiple times(not beat completely tho)

There was a rated level made in 2.1 th at uses this gimmick! and when i found it years ago this and started experimenting with it i kinda fell it live with it and made some levels though all of them are bad and i didnt upload them, now their just broken..
I remember wanting to build a level (pre 2.2) that you first need to complete in practice mode by using a green orb, placing a checkpoint on the green orb, dying, activating it again after death, letting you to pass, then after reaching a certain point use a glitch that allows you to basically preserve values between attempts, go out of practice mode without exiting the level (i tested, it should still save the value) which will unlock the real path, and only then do you beat the level in normal mode. I wanted to use Paradigm by Leslie Wai as the song (some may remember it as "that one kaizo trap video song"), practice mode goes for the first 2 minutes and 27 seconds of the song, while the real path goes till the end. Unfortunately i was in high school busy preparing for final exams, and soon forget about this idea, this video however unlocked that memory, and while it is possible to do this level more easily now, it just wouldn't be the same. Oh, also it was supposed to include the funny dual desync glitch
The desync happens at the beginning of the level. If you put a song trigger just to the right of the beginning white line, you can remove the desync entirely, rather than having a song trigger at the beginning for every cut
What about the idea of being unable to die, like you have to beat a level, but you cannot die and will beat it with only one attempt, but the plot twist is, that if you fail jumps, etc, you are teleported to beginning instead of diying, as if the level was pacifist and/or you are protected by something that teleports you back to safety instead of letting you die. Had also the idea of looping the player into a level, where he has to find ways out of it, like he would be into backrooms, but is infinite if he never find his way out.
1:01 helping hand exists, tho that is not exactly the same, tho ge 1024 heavily expects you to play the level twice as beating it before the time runs out is really hard.

In 2.1, there was a rated level called "Helping hand", this used the attempt glitch and meant that the 3 star took 4 attempts minimum every time
