- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 1994 GMC Vandura G2500 Conversion Van. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this van while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this van designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
As a 19 year old, I would totally drive that van.

I love how aggressive and cool these vans look.
I find it a bit strange that my dream car isn't a Lamborghini or Ferrari or anything like that. This is my dream vehicle. This very one. I've watched this video so many times in full, I'm stricken by it. I love it. The adventures me and my friends could go on in this beast. Cruising down back roads listening to some Guns N Roses. Driving down to Portland bumping some mellow 90s hip hop. Going across the country to a metal festival. I don't give a shit about fancy cars. This right here is what I want.

+Josh Caviness I have two of the cutaway cube van versions, a 1980 G30 Hi-Cube and a 1987 GMC MagnaVan. They're both relatively fun even without all the luxuries of the conversion vans.
5:13 Pink floyd and this van are a match made in heaven.
Remember riding in several of these conversion vans during the '90s. Way cooler than riding in today's SUVS.

Growing up in the 90s, we had a 1994 Chevy G20 Conversion Van and to this day, it remains my favorite vehicle of all time
These come in handy! I lived in a sober living home for a year and if you where behind on "rent" you had to be at the programs center for the day or at work. Couldn't be in the house past 8am so I had found one of these and it's pretty useful as I can sleep in my works parking lot.

Honda was pulling some real BS when they said the new Odyssey was the first van with an integrated vacuum cleaner.
This van is a conversion van. The vacuum was an aftermarket accesory. The Odyssey is the first one to come with one STANDARD

I've got a after market vacuum cleaner in mine and all the same equipment as well as the NES in my 1989 G20 Sport Version but mine is higher on the inside (6'ft).
My favorite part of this 1994 GMC Vandura is definitely the startup (startup video is at 1:08). Love that particular engine (350 engine, I guess); wish I could see a virtual test drive on that one along with the startup. The blue leather interior with silver, white, or blue exterior pairs exceptionally well. I would drive that all day if I had the chance!

wow classical reliable and tough 1994 technology in that bad ass van. I remember in 1994 I always used to cry and ask my dad to buy this van. I always longed and wished to sit in this van and I was 7 years old kid then. After that now this is the first time that I am able to see this van in 2014. after 20 years my obsession to see the inside of this van ended. thank you.
Mine not people carrier work is not reliable probably because we use it 5 times in tthe summer for a coattail car it's not even starting but I'm trying to get my parent to keep it

Well, if you can hook up an NES, it is probably possible to hook up others.

well, you might have to upgrade the tv, though some of those older tvs can take s-video. But I would upgrade the tv without thinking twice, though I wouldn't be able to play duck hunt without a tube tv.

I finally found it!!! This is the van. This is the van my grandmother had. I remember watching Simpsons on that TV. I remember going to Elba, Alabama from Orlando, Florida in this van. i just bought a garage kept Vandura, 1995, corvette engine, 140,000 miles, emerald green. i cannot wait to take a sabbatical and go on a massive tour of my beautiful country!!!!!!
Had a 1994 Dodge van almost identical to this one, great traveling van. Took 5 kids from Colorado to California and back no problems Used it to go back east several times in comfort

That was a cool van custom with a sofa, 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System along with some game cartridges, VCR, tape recorder and CD player, radio and television. Such an awesome rear seat entertainment. So cool. Can you do a fully restored 1976 GMC RV start up, engine, exhaust and in depth tour.

I see some people saying in the comments wow why does it have a v8 v6 is better! If it were a mini van yes but this is a lot bigger with a lot more accessories which=more weight making a v8 needed if it were a v6 it would be incredibly slow and break down a lot, it would put too much strain on a v6 engine to pull a vehicle of that weight for extended periods of time
I doubt it. Dodge made their 3/4 ton conversion van with a 3.9 v6 and I’ve got one.
I totally have to agree with other people and say that this literally is a house on wheels! Still looks like it's in great shape! You should do a test drive with one of these if/when you have the chance. Also, the NES coming with the car: EPIC WIN! The only things it would need to make it even cooler is a newer TV, and a DVD player to replace the VCR. Awesome review, Kyle! Keep them coming! These reviews of older cars are fun to watch!

my mom had one in the 80's, it was white with pink stripes and the whole inside was pink velour. the color was called "dusty rose" but it was pink. it also had a TV, VCR, and Nintendo. She got rid of it when our cat decided to take a nap in the engine bay. Kitty bits everywhere :(

Сool big-rig for relaxation with chicks on a rear sofa :) I saw the same van in the Moscow in August 1993 first time ( the van was on sale for $47K, and has a white color like snow) The van was called Chevy Van-20 Starcraft. I think now this Vandura costs about $4K :)

I always wanted my parents to get one of these when I was a kid. They were like a limo. So much technology in a car. It meant I could use my n64 in the car :D

my mom had a conversion van like this when i was growing up, the only slight difference was it was a chevy with cloth seats, i watched plenty of hours of barney on that tv in the back. this just brought back so many memories.
My mom had a Voyager when i was growing up, listening to Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd & Kylie Minogue on the Alpine, SDX, & the 3 Pioneers on the front, this just brought back so many, many memories.
I dont know why companies don't make vans like they use to so more if they did a lot of people would start buying them more
They still make them its just not readily available and on their lots, you can look up new conversion vehicles. Ford, gmc, chevy,mercedes, ect still make them
These are pretty much a luxury item now and apparently only rich people buy them.

I have a 95. Drove it 10k miles this summer to Colorado, Montana, Whistler, California and back home to Arkansas. Bruce Springsteen, Neil young, Pink Floyd, and Eddy bedder all accompanied the great journey :)

I just got the same van year '95. Been fixing it up into an adventure wagon for the past 2 months.
I would buy the van itself but the Nintendo is a definite plus. I can see myself at a campground somewhere parked by the beach and just playing Nintendo and watching the waves.

Road trip!
Hi there! I was getting a better look around my own conversion van and I found out that those side storage compartments for the third row of seats are actually mini coolers. you can fill them up with ice and throw in a few bottles of water and keep them cold that way. the melted ice drains to the road when you pull out those little rubber plugs down in the bottom. Never realized it was a cooler until I took it a part and realized it was insulated...

I've always wondered why such a van needs a 5.7L V8, if you are traveling, you would most likely want to spend less on gasoline! To me a 4.3L V6 would make more sense, but that's my opinion :/

Nope... that was an option. Standard was the 305. The other 2 options were the 350 and then the big block 454!
