- In this video I give a full in depth tour of a 2002 Chevrolet Express Conversion Van. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this van while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this van designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
Driven a van like this forever. Was my first vehicle at the age of 16 and I've loved it ever since. More value than a Ferrari and for a fraction of the price.
Love these conversion vans so much after watching this video I went and bought a 1997 Chevy Gladiator Conversion and its full leather high top. I tell you folks I was always the kinda guy that loved only cars and never wanted anything but. After driving my Gladiator I swear you feel like the King of The Road. Thanks for the video and providing people with your information.
This will be my dream van to own in 2023.
My great aunt had one of those. It was sooooo comfortable!
Amazing that this van was still using old Chevy badges, horn, buzzer, wheels and tires in 2002
The cool thing about the Express is with this model you could get it in ALL WHEEL DRIVE!!
No, that's the Astro/Safari not the Express/Savana
@@knowitall-chevrolet4229 - No no, you could actually get the Chevy Express in All-Wheel-Drive, just the same as the Astro van. It was more common on the ASTRO and Safari, but during the late 90's thru early 2000's they madea them in rear wheel and All-Wheel-Drive.
I don't know a lot about the Express drivetrains but ok
@@knowitall-chevrolet4229 - It's all good. Actually a lot of people didn't know it came in All-Wheel-Drive unless you lived in one of the winter states like I did. Which is where most All Wheel and 4×4 vehicles are sold. It's the same with Bentley and Rolls Royce. A lot of people think they only come in rear wheel drive, but for years they've been making them in All-Wheel-Drive as well. That's how the Queen of England is able to get around in the winter time.
@@faznout haha I live in a winter state too (NEW YORK)
Nice video Kyle. I've always liked these vans, so neat. Thanks for sharing :)
1:36 The exhaust sounds classical
I'm always looking out for these things listed for sale. They're just soooooo cool.
I love that van!!!! I need one of those for when I go up to the race track
Great video as always! Love those old vans!
i grew up traveling in one of these best vans ever
thats a badass van.
when he opened the back i thought he was goung to say this is where the magic happens.
Eww
😂😂😂😂
+Esteban Montelongo If the van's a rockin'...
+Ultimate Gaming pro are you like 9 or something
CEOkiller if the van is rockin dont go knockin
That chime reminds me of the Emergency Alert System
Yeah
I thought so too
Same here! It's like a lower quality version of the 89-2002 chevy GMC buzzer as heard here!
@@B01G3n1us hey i know you you're in thewheatisheat96 videos comment
@@yazanfares2006 yes I watch his videos and saabkyle04
this vans amazing. great for road trips and camping
Best part is the audio test 👏🏻
I've always wanted one of these with a regular bed and a little fridge since I was a kid, never understood why everyone didn't have one.
These vans seem very practical on paper, but they are horrible on gas. I can attest to that because my dad has a 93 dodge ram conversion van. I think that when it was running right, he got about 12 miles per gallon at best. That’s the one really impractical thing about it.
I would have a blast traveling in that
That's what she said!
Kyle Chellino Ba Dum Tss 🥁
this van would be perfect for a big road trip
I have one a 2000 Chevy express cargo van bought from the newspaper about 10 years ago only had 70k miles when we bought it now has 186k miles and still run strong
that buzzer gave me hearing damage
I wonder who at Chevy thought that the buzzer was necessary and why is it in a 2002 van when the 2002 Silverado had a dinger in it!
The best comment
Same
I just bought one of these vans, supposedly you can replace the beep sound with a chime sound module from other GM vehicles.
Lucky I want one
This is the machine that i love.
thanks dude... i love watching your videos, there entertaining and i like seeing cars
@MajorWayne If you see a oil pressure gauge that stays still if you rev the engine, it is a computer operated gauge in which you have a sensor in the oil pan. If it moves high as you rev the engine, you have a pressure operator gauge because the oil comes from the engine to the gauge directly.
Horrible beep sound when the Door is open
i have hardwired all my door buzzers for ten years. no buzz no beep no headache.

Post The 1985 Ford Del Rey GLX Start Up Engine And Depth Tour
EyeMapNess that’s like the sound of someone’s heart stopping and the thing goes beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep and I that’s a terrible sound
EyeMapNess I actually kinda like those buzzers
I have a 97 chevy low top, just bought a 2002 but with high top. I love the big rear windows. Love the extra space on the high. Top.
You do a good job of showing the Vans☺
I know I really hate chevys but this was the real van back in the days, this van was so cool back in the day
Chevy is the best soooooo
1:36 5:44 the most musical exhaust I ever heard
Almost 5 years since your first Upload, Kinda cool seen how much you work improved....
Mine is a Regency and did not come with a manual so this was a perfect video for me. So many buttons. Now if you could show me how to convert it to a tiny home for traveling.
If I had the money, and the friends to ride with me I'd be tempted to buy one of these to drive down to the beach.
Bandit Darville Same here
When I saw that I was reminded of the ole '95 Chevy!
Looks like a nice van. Vehicles with third-row seating are the best!!
I hate it that access to engine is a nightmare for most of these vans as you said. 😟
Shorter van means more manuverability. Either take room from the cargo area, or the engine area. Cargo capacity matters more than engine access I guess... JKintzle02
catguy4 But when it comes to maintenance...
TO ASSESS THE ENGINE YOU NEED TO OPEN THE DOGHOUSE
The Ford E vans have the best engine access of the big domestic vans. The GM and Chevy vans look better, but I do my own work so that is important. It also helps that there are more E Vans than GM, so parts are more plentiful.
@@phatkatracing I would assume that little section of carpet, which looks seperate from the rest, and the cupholder/console aren't too hard to remove.
I am japanese.
Chevy van is not found very often in Japan. The side muffler is banned in Japan, so the muffler is behind. The big truck is another story.
Chevrolet is a very good car.
So I was thinking about these vans... since they’ve been around in this guise since 1995 and won’t be discontinued until 2023, someone could technically have bought one in 1995, Drove the same van 25 years into 2020, bought another one and driven the same van until 2045 or more. They would have driven the van for over 50 years. GM got their money’s worth out of this platform! Timeless
I want this van so bad lol
GO AHEAD KYLE LEAVE THAT DAMN BUZZER GOING
Beautifull van!
Your video has 72 dislikes, I love this amazing video!
that van is more better than the old 1994 van and its clean too
@rubiks15 that is what you call a mid engine design in which the engine is placed almost in the middle of the vehicle. You can get to it 1 of 2 ways, in the inside where the center console is, or put the vehicle on a lift, and work from the undercarrige. This is not the only van like this.
awesome exhaust note and also i was just starting to watch your videos when you had that old 95 chevy van white one i remember the most the breakes was aweful on it and it was a pos!!!!! this is a really nice van kyle man! great jab and try to find an 2010 one they make them for camping now like.. it is new called 2010 chevrolet express van
when i was a kid i used to think those chevy buzzers were creepy. believe me ive been around and heard them many times back from the 2000s. now as a 17 year old boy im used to them buzzers
OMFG!!!!!! GTFO youtube for at least a day or two!!!!! WE FUCKING GET IT!!!!!!!!! The buzzers were creepy, they were stupid and totally gay! blah blah blah. STFU ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!! It's not like everyone didn't fucking know about the buzzer and then you had to give a fucking lecture about why the buzzer is creepy like a countless number of fucking times!!! WHO GIVES A SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some people love the buzzer for what it is and its unique traits. STOP GIVING PEOPLE SHIT!!!!!!!!!...
The real doktorbimmer He didn't give a lecture.
doktorbimmer you shouldget a new attitude, and if you don't, gtfo youtube
Calm down
@@doktorbimmer shut up
@shmoo14 that's because the pressure builds as you rev the engine, it is suppose to do that.
I will lovely to have that during vacation trip here from jakarta - bali with my little family.. its seem really comfort
Chevrolet express: BEEEEEEEEEEEEEP
My ears: AHHHHHHHHHHHH
Dsotoson 55 Lol :) gave me a good laugh
I don,t like That Buzzer when it Annoys me
I think I'm probably the only one who likes that chime. lol
Not that loud
me:EEEEEEEEEEEEE
the 1996-2002 Chevrolet Express Van was assembled in
Wentzville, Missouri, United States
AWESOME VAN!!!
Im loving that buzzer
Is it weird that a nineteen-year-old Celica-driving university student suddenly wants one of these for spring break road tripping?
I was thinking the same thing.
Walther Hoffman nope not Weird at all
mr heroe totally nothing wrong this thing is totally not officially considered a rape van by any means
That's just people's badly poisoned superstitious beliefs of large vans
Walther Hoffman chicks dig vans
That buzzer is really annoying but a great van.
me: opens door van: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
We got the 2008 we use them to do 6h high road everyday and Its amazing how good it drive at 120km/h on sunny days or total rainstorm they go straight and feal soft an incredible Nice ride with 3 adults 2 kids a Dogs and Its large cage 6 bigs travels case 6 small 5 backpack wow im looking to get à second one already after 24h of driving it 🤣👍
I have a 1993 Chevy 5.7L g20 High-top Conversion VAN 10-15mpg that was customized by TIARA CLASS MOTOR COACH. It's loaded Wood ceiling/cabinets, walls, dash board, inner engine hood with lights everywhere, some for reading. 2 Electric cup warmer and coolers in the front. Front and rear stereo, headphone jacks for each passenger. Power front and rear seat, not middle(All Leather). TV/VCR/Super Nintendo slot with control jacks built into walls(all in surround sound). Window shades in 2 levels.
Thanks for the videos ,, i like the cars and country songs :)
is there a way to turn those buzzers off?
To close the door
+Shane Kelly lol I wrote that comment like 3 years ago
Nick Simmons just rip the damn thing out that's what I did to my 98 Tahoe
Just disconnect or remove the buzzer, simple as that.
One of my uncle's friend also do the same thing in his old Jeep Wrangler when he get annoyed by the door and seat belt buzzer sounds.
@TJC450 of course, u would probably have to make wire connector adjustments, but it should be able to.
me: opens door
van: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
i have a 2002 express its amazing i hope i get it i used to not want it but now i want it even though ill be an outcast at school since they will have cars and pickups
That buzzer was like you were cussing none stop haha
My mom used to have a van like this!!
I LOVE THAT VAN
But starting with the 1995 models when GM redesigned the dash for their trucks, GM retained the same buzzer but made it worse by making it so that the buzzer would sound all the time no matter what position the key was in when the driver door was open.
That exhaust hot damn
I wonder if that beauty had shore power hookups like our old van did
I mean your one of my favorite car connection companies.
VERY NICE AND CLEAN .!!!!! . PERFECT 👌 FOR TWO OR FOUR TO TRAVEL OR ON VACATION ANY WERE AND U DON’T NEED TO STAY IN ANY CHEAP BUG EFFECTIVE MOTEL. .!!!! . AND SAVE MONEY 💰. !!!! . 😎👍💖🇺🇸...
loved the video. I have a chevy van 1992 model. but it is a bit different. It has a 6.2 liter V8 diesel! And I live in Norway, and it becomes too expensive to have one with gasoline! It is a Conversion Van called Starcraft St400. red interior 4 captain chairs, and it also has a sofa that folds down electrically to a bed:) love my car but it is not easy to have such a car in Norway because it's an American car and it is expensive to have it on workshop in Norway.
11:35 Brings back memories.
This was published the day and year my lil sis was born! And I want one of these for my first vehicle
Same
Just saw some of the new Chevy conversion vans and they are nice.
Which part of the road are you at
Its a good road trip van
1:21 That Buzzer Is So Nice
What the fuck was Chevy thinking when they put that buzzer in?
They were smoking weed around that time. After they came to their senses it was too late so they decided to keep it like that.
Nick Partain what's not to love about it it reminds me of my childhood
They were probably thinking, "This will remind them their keys are in the car." Duh?
The exhaust note is nuts...can´t be stock...or is it??
+Saabkyle04 What dealership were you at when you filmed this video?
AJ D bren and Rees Auto World
Brandon Reeves Auto World in Monroe, North Carolina
Great hollow exhaust sound
Oh, well I wanna buy it now. This is cool
I have autism just so you know, so muy observance is different from most other people, but I see that the captains chair on the right side of the second row doesn't have a cupholder like all the other seats do. While others get to access all they need, the one by the swinging doors on the right side of the second row doesn't get any access. No cupholder for anyone in that seat means an unreasonable challenge of having to hold your pop cans in your hands for more consecutive hours than you could handle, which can hurt your wrists, doing other things with two hands impossible, and risking chances of dropping your can to the floor and spilling what's in there down on the carpet floor and make a mess, which can eventually cause that person without a cupholder to not bring any beverages and go through restricted drinking access, and only get water from a drinking fountain in a rest area and have nothing to drink again until stopping somewhere else. Believe me, I know what I'm seeing and saying. At least like those without autism, I can still drive.
@jpg42893 about 45 gallons. They actually have a 2ndery tank option, 1 is a primary tank, 1 is a 2ndery tank.
GOTTA LOVE DAT CHEVY BUZZER .....
nice, looking chevy van. Random vanners east coast VA. 2%
That is nice how much is it cause what is with it the1994 g20 conversion van how much are they both
BEAUTIFUL GORGEOUS AMAZING AWESOME VAN I REALLY 😍
These conversion vans are very cool. I used to get to ride In these a while back because my uncle had one. Do they convert these at the factory or are they aftermarket? (Or convert them at the factory upon special order?)
I did some research on this number of years ago out of curiosity, because my dad has a 93 dodge ram conversion van. If memory serves me right, all the normal stuff like the powertrain and drive train are built and put together at the Chevy plant. Once they get the van running, then they send it to a special factory to have all the conversion features installed. Fairly similar to the way I believe RVs are supposed to be built.
All American cars have that beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepppppppppppppppppppppppppp when you put the key on the ignition?!?!
I love that idea! You only live once.
Now that's what I'm talking about!!!! I got a chevy G20 and I love my van!!!
@jmc9109 nope, it was actually 1999, and they continued it for another 3 years in the conversion and cargo van.
What company converted that van?
@RangelSotero the limited concersion weighs about 69-7000 lbs, that number i gave you was for this one!
Wow too good 👍🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
A good lookin van
@kendrickevans301 i wonder if ur able to swap chime boxes out on older cars with newer ones
one of these years i'll get one of these.....:)
I have one just like this. Same year and model. Mine has the explorer limited SE kit, and mine is tan
