- In this video I give a full in depth tour of a 1994 Chevrolet G20 Conversion Van. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this van while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this van designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

This van was not bad at all. Definitly could be a pretty nice van with some basic cleanup and relatively minor work.
Some people's idea of what "junk" is , is pretty ridiculous.

I was surprised myself to see that referred to as "seen better days"... like have these people not seen what a project vehicle really looks like?
A lot of people now don't feel comfortable working on vehicles, so smaller issues like this are major sticking points for them.
These old conversion vans have always been my favorite automobiles. Especially the Designer Vans, and this is one of them! Great job and thanks for the tour! I hope to own one someday!

I just bought 1994 chevy van 20 high top with only 57 000 original miles, impecable inside and out side , one owner , I take to the mechanic to check and fix some details for long trip, nice ride with the family.
I remember my dad used to have one of these. Good memories took a gallon of gas just to start it.
My dad I have one of these to a tear came out of me watching this video because my dad died that year This was his last car It was midnight blue and it had a couple wolves 🐺 Painted on the spare tire
These vans do indeed get abused, but they are tough and reliable.
the one I had was a work van and it has 213k km of just work on it, previous owner probably was a landscaper, said all he did was haul with it until the tranny went. But these are hard to kill. They'll fire up everytime.
Yep my teacher said I should get one of these Chevy vans instead of the 1990 Chevrolet K1500 stepside I was about to buy now I'm probably buying a G20 near December for my 17th birthday

My dad had a 95 G20 conversion van but in a really nice dark brown color. Interior was tan. I’ve been looking for a similar one to that for years. I loved that van, wanted that to be my first vehicle but dad had to sell it well before I was able to drive.

i remember those kind of vans, i went w/ my relatives and toured the country from west to the east in my uncle's van. that was when gas were still cheap.
i had seen my first and sadly, my last boob flash while sitting in the window seat driving somewhere in kentucky or tennessee. those were good times.

I had this van back when I was younger, but sadly it caught fire while coming back from Dinner. That was such a beautiful vehicle.

funny that his has the exact mileage as my own 94 conversion van, but only half as clean. shows the difference in what taking care of it can do!
And I'm about to buy one tomorrow that has the exact same miles too.......weird!!! The one I'm prob gonna get has the longer wheelbase or I wouldn't have even been interested. I'll be converting into an RV.

my grandma had $5000 for the down payment on a new car but saw a 95 g20 and paid 1500 for it, when i asked her why she said the lincoln navigator she was going to get was no where near as luxurious as the g20 and a few weeks later she sold it and got a ford e-150 conversion van and said the same thing as the g20

we had a 91 or 93 van like this, theyre tanks, we got t-boned in it, hardly any damage except the fender was rubing the tire a little.
In-laws of mine had one from the 80's i think and finally parted with it 3 years ago. It had a T-V and tape deck it was the all delux version.
My girlfriend in high school got one of these when she turned 16... we called in the "mobile bedroom" ;)
My dad used to have this truck for work when I was growing up. Only difference was, it was a GMC work truck

looks like the vacuum lines are not connected to the canister ball under the hood. if it ha a vacuum leak that would explain the high idle and lurch in gear.

@TJC450 it says that because until the late 80s you did not have that safty interlock on the brake pedal or a clutch safty switch.
We had a 1992 G20 Chevy van and got over 450,000 miles on it.
I have a 1992 that has 88,612 miles, near mint condition, windows and mirrors work, 5.7 V8. It has one issue... major issue. The engine kept stalling. It was parked in 2015 because of this. I am now finally getting ready to try to fix it/restore it.

It's sad that people don't know how good these vans actually are. Imagine being on a road trip with one of these, a mini fridge, tv, and a water bed in the back.

My mom had a 1995 G20 Mark III when I was a kid. I learned to drive in that thing. My parents bought it new and had it until around 2003. It was a piece of crap in the end, but my mom loved that thing for some reason. She only got rid of it because it started having major engine problems. You used to see a lot of these back in the day, not so much anymore. I think they all fell apart.
Daily driver, plus tons of road trips. My brother and I played competitive soccer and traveled every weekend during the season. Thats part of the reason she got the van. It had well over 100k miles on it when she sold it.
Still have a 1991 g20 that runs great.
Probably wasn’t taking care of properly by the previous owner. I would restore it if I could buy it.

@TJC450 your welcome that feture actually came about due to certian ford cars in the 70 and 80 were easily bumped in to reverse. It happend to me on an 87 lincoln once.

I recently bought the same van same year almost identical, I have the same problem with the drivers side door....I also need to replace the glass fuses that are In the center roof between the driver and passenger side. I have searched and asked so many people including contacting a chevy dealer and no one can tell me, do you have the same fuse box?

Honestly, it's pretty sad to see a vehicle that was as beautiful as it was be disrespected as it visibly has been. :( If it were me, I'd buy it in a heartbeat and clean it up, and drive it every day to school. That is, if I didn't have my own already...

I have a 95 G20 van just like this, but mine is a lil cooler looking. I paid 1800 for it just to haul stuff, but I fall in love with it and drive it almost daily and I have 2 newer car that are Honda's but I drive the van the most wish I could poet a pic. i have seen some bad conversion Vans but this one take the cake lol i mean i have seen some nasty ones like i have seen some with holes in the floors and roof and some with alot of rust but this one take the cake for being the dirty one ever ha good video

actually its pretty solid and rust free, not perfect but not too bad either. at least its clean around here they rotted out really bad. if someone spent a few dollars they could easily fix it up

It's kind of funny how I have a blue 1993 GMC Vandura 2500, and my one back door is pused in from the wheel, kind of like this one! Mine isn't that noticable though.

hey kyle, i got a 95 extended version work van of this, with 81k, question @ 01:17, the two black indents in the dash, were they for aux guages?, and also, the trans always lurched forward after age, that trans model did that
its defiantly seen better days and they were long ago.
