- Dr. Safiyyah Ally had an opportunity to sit down with Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss at Reviving the Islamic Spirit convention in Toronto. Weiss is an activist and spokesperson for Neturei Karta, a group representing 0.03% of the Jewish population worldwide. Neturei Karta vocally opposes Zionism and the state of Israel. Regardless of whether or not the Palestinian people was affected or the land was uninhabited, Naeturei Karta say the Jewish people did not have a right to self-determination. The establishment of the state of Israel prior to the coming of the Messiah was sinful and an act of rebellion against God. Weiss says Jews yearn to return to the Holy Land and pray to God to bring about that end day, but in the meantime, they are tasked with patiently waiting, serving God, being loyal citizens and upholding the Torah in every land in which they live.

The reason I ask is that I recently saw that Hava in Hebrew used to be Hawa in ancient Hebrew (and in Arabic it is still Hawa) and I think I saw the same for David, that the ancient version used to be with a W (Dawid) rather than V (similar to Arabic) so I wondered if the sh and S were also once the exact same pronunciation??

@@Call_Upon_YAH There certainly are subdivisions of Christianity. Many Christians have pestered me to convert to Evangelical Christianity. But they panic when I mention talking to the Father at the Catholic Church. They tell me better to stay as I am than convert through the Roman Catholics. Christians have often hated and killed each other over the years especially since the Protestant Reformation.

What you've said is incredibly interesting - as a Polish Jew (ethnically), I've been told as a child that our destiny is to be guests wherever we go, and that travelling, finding homes in diverse places is 'in our blood'. Therefore, Zionism always seemed not only unfair but also against our nature as the Children of Israel. As a Jewish Muslim, I feel like our responsibility as Jews (regardless of our religion), is to actively stand against Zionism. God does not judge people by ancestry and he does not prefer one people over another. He prefers those who are pious and do good works independent of race or descent.
