    Would love to see a comparison with the new iLoud MTM MKII vs Original vs Neumann

    There are high levels of harmonic distortion around 40~60 Hz on iLoud MTM. And also audible port noise (1:57~2:26). Engage a 50Hz or 60Hz HPF on the back of the iLoud to improve the distortion issue. KH80 clearly has a more open sound, better transparency and transient response. iLoud MTM has an incredible great LF extension.

      Yes,it's ture,especially in a song which has massive low end(Mortals),in high volmue,so I add a presonus T8 and set HPF cut 80hz below output to satellites,then iloud MTM work unhurried even in a "neighbour mad" volume,the midrange also better now.

    I have the top of the line from Focal Trio 11BE and a set of Iloud MTM and I have to say I am very very impress how good the Iloud perform

      How you can compare Trios with 120db and 10” woofer with extreme low distortion down to 30Hz to small plastic toy with extreme high distortion in low register? Maybe at 60db level. But above 85db it must be more than evident.

    I feel the iLouds are a little more natural-sounding. The Neumanns´ detail is impressive, but the iLouds sound a little more true-to-life and even closer to the reference track in some cases imo.. the iLouds may also be quite more fun to produce on, while the Neumanns are perfect for surgical mixing or even mastering.

    Iloud MTM has a very detailed mid range and an impressive sub response to its size exceeding expectations, Kh80 tends to sound flatter in the middle and with a softer hi end. There are 2 excellent monitors, for this test I would stay with Iloud!

    So surprisingly the MTM has more bass huh? Considering the price difference and integration of mic calibration, MTM is looking more and more worth for the money!

  • @allans1212
    @allans1212 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think they are both very good. In this Price range you cant have a bad deal. Every speaker have his own audio identity. I personnaly chose MTM for room correction , bass extension i think in used condition they are bang for buck. But i love Neumann too.

    I need to watch more ad to support this channel! 😂
    Probably a lot of manufacturers even hate this channel as the results of audio tests really put some of their products in shame.
    Just like a music competition, everyone hate the the judges but the winner. 😏

    Neumann more neutral here imo. EDIT : and better mids

  • @edwardx.winston5744

    These are very close, but the highs on the Neumanns are more articulate.
    Of course this begs the question: would tracks mixed on the IK monitors end up brighter than those mixed on the Neumanns?

    I have the MTMs but I'm thinking bout getting the Neumanns. The mid transient response is so good on Neumanns. I like the MTMs a lot but I have a little issues with the hight mids and leveling my snares.

  • @VladK-1
    @VladK-1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Alas iLoud MTM have plenty of issues (such as tweeters stopping working) which are not covered by the warranty as it's too short. They're also have an audible white noise at normal listening distance. KH80 are robust and have slightly better sound, though don't go as low as MTM (though MTM is not accurate in this range). Better to get KH80 and a sub if you really need deep and accurate LF.

  • @doug753
    @doug753 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hands down the Ilouds MTM, Neumans sound a little boxy, and remind me of mackies mr5's, articulate but flat up to the tweet, then sweet. less LFE EXTENSION, clinical.

  • @bassinblue
    @bassinblue ปีที่แล้ว +2

    iLoud's are really upfront and borderline personal, especially how revealing the low end is. In a treated room, they would demolish Focals. Honestly, they win, especially for their price. Get them now before they make them $800 for each one.

  • @FKupstateB

    the MTMs sound a little compressed, and the bass feels a but unnatural. if i was buying monitors just for listening, i'd go with the MTMs. but for 'pro' monitoring, the neumanns may be more useful....

      I'm using Adam A7X. I have listened to Edifier S2000 Pro many times at a friend's house and it never ceased to amaze me. While it's no way suitable for mixing or audio production purposes, it is definitely extremely fun to listen to.

    people taking studio monitors seriously without a sub are deluded. 50-60hz rolloff is a joke for music

    • @quochuynguyen764
      @quochuynguyen764 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      it's just your opinion, most music are mixed without subwoofer, except for edm or dance music or maybe hiphop but for most music, there aren't much musical content in the 20-80hz region, there are a guy who make subwoofer said that he would not use a subwoofer for critical listening but only for movies, and general listening maybe.
