    Thanks for doing this comparison, with examples. I wasn’t entirely convinced by reading ik’s description of differences, that that there was really much of a difference, but your demonstration really helped clarify a difference in sound - thanks.

    You explained the difference between the two much better than those 100k+ TH-camrs. Thank you! I'm definitely going to upgrade my iLoud MTM.

    Yes it is a big chance between the old and the new speakers, can be noticed from iPhone. Thank you.

    Very good information. Would have loved to have heard a piano sound through them. I play in some very small venues and they might be just the thing, but now, I don't know. What do you think? Good review though, even if a little truncated. Thanks.

      These are studio monitors, meant for studio monitoring. I would not recommend studio monitors for any kind of audience as their peak performance is achieved by being centered to and close to them (hence the term "near field studio monitors"). The farther away you get the more detail you'll lose. PA's are for performance and audiences. You don't need stereo for an audience either, so one PA should work. I use a QSC CP8 for smaller solo piano gigs.

      @@PianoManChuck Thanks I have CP8s, as a result of your video, btw. I do need stereo though because I use at least 3 in a layer and the pad a strings should be passned opposite. It creates a cinematic sound. Thanks you sir for your response.

    Original MTM looks like its filter cutoff on on high frequency LOL. Very big difference. and I listen this with Neumann NDH 30. I was about to buy 2nd hand original but not anymore

    Good review, thanks. The remote only works on the Precision range though, right?

    • @PianoManChuck
      @PianoManChuck  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That was the case before the MKII's were released. Now the (optional) remote will work with both the Precision Series as well as the MKII's.

      @@PianoManChuck I am not so sure about that. Have you tried it? From the back panel, the non-Precision iLouds seem to be lacking the mini jack for it. They do have one, but that's for the calibration mic. The jacks on the big ones are explicitly labeled "control", along with a small icon.

      @@dkpianist I stand corrected! As I don't have the physical remote I was unable to test that but you're right.

    I have the iLoud Micro and iLoud MTM, but I never liked the bass of the MTM, much more muffled than the micro, maybe I'll buy the MK2
