    Hey guys. Thanks for stopping on this video. This video got a little out of control and is very long! Sorry about that. There is just so much information to cover around this topic. So sorry about rambling so much! To make it worthwhile I've made a summary of what I'm trying to say in the description of the video. Hopefully it can be helpful for you guys. Cheers!

    Is that how it is at open polytechnic, damn. For our practical at Unitec in Auckland, it was 20 questions in the beginning closed book, & then the sale and purchase agreement, & then 5 questions at the end...

    Thank you so much for the video. I have learnt so many things in your video. R u able to make one video showing how to fill sale and purchase agreement or pretend how to fill the form and ask questions from the buyer and seller. I am so confused. My mother tongue is different so don’t understand how I ask that 20 points? If u can help would be really appreciate

    A 20 point list would be good simplified 1 to 20 . Your clip has been so good I have taken notes but hey a 20 point list would be awesome

    Hey Samu,
    firstly its been very helpful watching your videos, it really helped me solidify my decision to start my study in real estate as its hard to find any content on entering the industry in NZ.
    I was thinking it would be good to maybe get an update video on how you've found it over the last few months? are you enjoying it? any struggles? listing progress etc.
    would be great to hear how you're finding the industry so far.
    cheers!

    Do you have to be connected to an agency to get your license or can you get it online just incase you want to move into that career eventually . The final exam sounds like if you have ever purchased or sold a property you could pass

    Hey bro, thanks for the info. Is there a way to work hand in hand with any licensed real estate agent/company without doing the course myself and just working in the background to generate leads for the agent? Well of course with the shared commission % with every successful transaction through my leads. What do you reckon?

    • @SAMUTHESAMBABALL
      @SAMUTHESAMBABALL  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, great question! Short answer: Absolutely! An agent is always keen for any leads. If you can bring them they will pay for them, how you get them is up to you. Long answer: I know for a fact that people do this very thing. There are lead generation companies that find/source people that want to sell and filter these leads through to real estate agents. The one I'm familiar with was a subscription model so an agent can pay 1-2k per month for this particular company to send through leads. I think the company was generating them through Google ads and then cold calling them to figure out as many details as possible. Once this was done they send it through to the agent in an email.

      It's illegal to give advice around the selling/buying of property without a licence. It's not illegal to source marketing leads for agents.

    Hi bro
    One more thing I want to know
    The fee I should pay ! Is it monthly or only when you sale house ! And in case I don’t sale house !
    Should I pay fee even no sale !!

    • @SAMUTHESAMBABALL
      @SAMUTHESAMBABALL  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mondir. You have two options:
      1. Pay a fee of a few hundred dollars per month to keep your licence active. This is a good choice if you are selling a lot of houses each month. So better for experienced agents.
      2. Pay a slightly higher fee, but only every time you make a sale. This is a better choice (in my opinion) for newer sales people. As you only need to pay once you've made some money. The fee will just be subtracted from your commission payment by the agency. It's usually around $600.
      You also need to pay a fee once a year to keep your licence active.

    I'm at UoA rn studying marketing and management but really wanna drop out for a real estate course in unitec smh

    • @SAMUTHESAMBABALL
      @SAMUTHESAMBABALL  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hey Anthony. I used to be the same as you when I was studying my degree in marketing. Looking back I am very happy that I stayed at UNI to finish it. There's no need to rush anything, and having a degree and maybe even some work experience in that area sets you apart from other agents. Real estate is not going anywhere but it can be hard to get back into studying once you've stopped. Also the real estate course is easy peasy once you've done a degree. You will be able to smash it out in no time. Don't rush anything bro - the connections/friends you make while studying are also invaluable for the future. That's my advice anyways. Thanks for watching

At Wintec instead of lectures you have one class that just goes for like 3hrs where half of it is a lecture and the other half is a tutorial but you have the same people in your class. I preferred this way.

    Hey, nice video! As a 19yr old just out of highschool and level 3's I was curious as to the best course of action to get into real estate. What are the tertiary study requirements etc? Or can you just go straight into the course in this video? And then what? Apply to firms to try land a job? A run down of this would be much appreciated, I don't know anything about this rly but lately have been considering it as a career path. Thanks heaps :)

    • @SAMUTHESAMBABALL
      @SAMUTHESAMBABALL  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Alex, good on you! You don't need any special tertiary requirements to study the real estate course. It is only just above high school level at level 4. You can absolutely go straight into the course! All the best.

    • @SAMUTHESAMBABALL

      It's definitely a great choice for the right people. You should reach out to some local agents and see if you can ask them some questions about the career/ if you can come along to see what a day in the life is like. That way you can see if it's right for you!
