The Corrie guide to getting a bank loan in the 1990s: Bank Manager: Now Mr Mallet, for what purpose will you use this £2000 loan for which you are applying? Gary: Well, I need the money to buy a baby from a homeless 15-year-old girl. Bank Manager: Alright, everything seems to be in order, your application is approved. Seriously though, it would have been interesting to hear what Gary told the Bank Manager at the interview.
Ah well Toyah Battersby's manners are not all bad. She called Ken Barlow sir!. But I would say calling Ken, their teacher Mr. Barlow would be sufficient respect.
Are you in the US where "Sir" is commonly used as a mark of true respect? Only in the UK it's how students routinely address male teachers. That's to say that Toya's use of the word in this context is more about the culture than about real respect and would be exactly the same as calling him "Mr. Barlow."
So Kevin thinks buying Sally flowers makes everything ok? I’m so glad sally told Kevin to get out of her mother’s house and take his flowers with him, I hope sally never takes Kevin back, thanks 🙏 eve for these I love ❤️ the old ones
Unfortunately Sally does take Kevin back five years later and marries him which is mores the pity. Then in 2009 or 2010 Keven has an affair with his best friends wife behind Sally's back who is in the shape of Molly Dobbs. In 2021 Kevin has the cheek to say how badly Maria behaved over that business with Aiden Conner when he was engaged to Eva. Having an affair with a woman that is married is worse than muscling in on a person that is engaged. In the first place Aiden Conner was within Maria age group and not young enough to be her offspring like Molly was young enough to be Kevin's daughter.

Janice was pretty dull, Toyah and Leanne just went on to be whingers. Les was a fun character and could have bounced off the various residents to play the villain/chump. It didn't quite work to have him in a family, however fittingly dysfunctional the family was.
Nah Janice was great. Best one out of all of them. Toyah was fine when she was with Spider. Don't like Leanne that much. Les was okay when he wasn't being a loudmouthed bigot
Battersbys spiced up the show, even better when Chesneys mother became cast.
Sally 🥊🥰🤣
Contrary to what Steve said at 1:30:48 Caroline (Abigail)in Sons and Daughters was beautiful and she was quite brainy.
Those brats. Not going to watch now.
Back to Emmerdale currently
Gail the hypocrite.
I grudgingly admire Natalie for simply walking out of the cafe at the first insulting prattle that comes out of Audrey's mouth. Maybe if more people had this reaction, instead of pointlessly trying to reason with her, Audrey might not have become such an unbearable cow.
Dislikes: McDonalds', all of them; Battersbys', all of them. 😕 Will fastfoward !
I reckon Alan set Steve McDonald up to find out if Fiona was still in love with him.
That lady with the black dog is a good judge of character.
At 42:52 here we have the first appearance of Les Battersby.
Joanne Froggatt was remarkably good in this when she was only 16 years old!
Oh, of course, I wondered why she looked familiar…Downton Abby !
She was very good in Liar.
At 1:11:53 A good question that Maxine has Asked Ashley. And between 1:12:07 and 1:12:10 What Maxine said was true. Ashley should tell that old Coot to get lost.
To answer Bill's question at 1:09:59 none at all. It will make matters worse. It will make Sally more angrier with Kevin for getting his father to do his dirty work.
Toyah was awful
Steve Slimeball
The Corrie guide to getting a bank loan in the 1990s:
Bank Manager: Now Mr Mallet, for what purpose will you use this £2000 loan for which you are applying?
Barlow."
Omw.
Alan McKenna is more of a doos than Steve McDonald. I don't trust Alan after what his actions have been
So Kevin thinks buying Sally flowers makes everything ok?
In the first place Aiden Conner was within Maria age group and not young enough to be her offspring like Molly was young enough to be Kevin's daughter.
the first woman that appears in this video has been in around 23 soap opera roles she must be the head background actress for mainstream tv
I think she played the usher at Kevin & Sally’s wedding in 1986 then the court usher at Alan Bradley’s trial in 1989.

What a very silly addition and introduction of the Battersbys.
Jim And Steve tag team on Fiona, Who could resist???
