I appreciate your way of teaching. The need to practice, not to be perfect is an important think to remind everyone

This was a great discussion. Good use of examples of different forms. Also, you wove in tips and tricks. It's obvious you've taught before you do a great job explaining things.

I'm using the square spiral on quilt with large squares and it is looking great. I am filling in around the squares with 2 1/2" arcs, it forms circles.

Hi, Connie from Colorado. If I use a ruler to create wavy lines over the whole quilt, do you do it in sections or make the lines all the way from end to end on the quilt and where do you start?

Hi. If you do not have a stitch regulator how are you controlling the stitch length? Or is it w/ practice like free motion quilting?

You mentioned to wide the bobbin slowly with the glide thread, If I just let my machine do the winding (it has a bobbin filler on it as I sew) could that be why I could never get the glide thread to catch?! I tried different needles, I tried twisting a little to the left and right, I even tried the cotton thread in the bottom that I normally use but I couldn't get the glide thread to catch through my quilt sandwich, but I could get it to catch outside of my sandwich. I finally gave up and went back to plain old cotton, which seems to be what my long arm likes.

I have a Sweet 16. When I got it I bought some of the HQ rulers. Not a fan. But sadly they were not cheap like your rulers better.

Hello Angela, my challenge is managing the ruler with the ruler foot. My machine always hop the foot....and than the ruler slip under. How can I get the machine to keep the foot down?

Already had some rulers before your quilt challenge began. Mine have little posts or handles on top. Are there any issues with this particular design that I need to be aware of good or bad? Thanks for all of your wonderful tips and tricks! Love your laid back style of teaching! So helpful for this recovering perfectionist. 😂

How close together can the stitch lines be on a bed quilt before it becomes stiff? I want a comfy quilt.

When I tightened my top tension nothing was working, then I realized my presser foot wasn't in the up position. Something I didn't now at the time. I often wonder who else doesn't know that. Maybe you could mention that when you talk about tweeking your tension.

I really appreciate learning a design and have a beautiful quilt when I’m finished especially quilting on these beautiful panels. Let’s face it if I quilt with matching thread, a lot of my bobbles don’t show.
