@@homeschooldaddyjournal9839 I have plans to do some more outdoors type stuff now that winter is here. The range videos are the most popular so that is what I have been focusing but I have a few ideas for other stuff. Thanks for the suggestion!
I’m so pleased that I found your channel. You are one of the few video firearm reviewers that actually know exactly that to call the parts of a firearm by their proper names. You also speak plainly and to the point. I too would be easily distracted if I watched some Grouse and in season with a 22 rimfire like that in my hand. Happy hunting. Tasty little birds.
i have an 1894 very good condition which I am quite fond of. They can be found in the same price range as the 1999 model 30. One major Difference is that the 1894 is a take down. a D-ring behind the forearm that unscrews to release the barrel! That and the fact that it is over 125 years old make for a very cool little rifle! PS cool fact Stevens invented the 22 long rifle , the most popular bullet in the world with over a billion rounds produced in the U.S. every year!
I have that same Canadian made Model 30, the only 22 rifle that I own. It's a companion to my Ruger Bearcat. Both guns are great for a retired senior recreational target shooter on a budget like me. Love your very nice video.
@@gunsgearoutdoorsalaska5875 to bad on the grouse. I thought it looked like you had a good bead on them. They must have decided to cover some ground on foot.
I just picked one up in 17hmr. When you open the action all the way does it drop off of half cock? This would mean when you close to e action the hammer is already down
Loving this channel so far
Thanks! I appreciate it. I will keep the videos coming.
@@gunsgearoutdoorsalaska5875 any chance you can do more Alaskan bushcraft vids?

thanks for the review. I was looking at a special edition with a bronse colored lever and trigger. little costly tho. asking 500.
That does seem like a lot when I got the base model for 225.

Handsome hat! And the woodburning on that stock looks great! Did you do that yourself when you refinished it? ;)
No, my sweetie did it for me!
So Alan did you get those grouse?
Nope, they got away this time!
Nice video.......but......
Time to shoot some grouse lol
