First rifle I ever owned, a gift from my grandfather back in the 60's.
Mine had a relined chamber due to erosion from too many shorts.
I rebuilt mine as a 32 S&W Long and it's still in use as a very portable and decidedly powerful small game getter.

That’s a great story. They are neat little rifles.

They don't make them like they used to. What a beautiful piece of American history.

@@knightingalesaid I checked around your page very interesting. Your like motorcycles also. I had two before I was 20years old. A 1977 Honda 750. And a Kawasaki Z1R 1000cc. I sold them before I went to the Army.. I would love to get another but because of one of my disabilities I can't move my head so well my neck muscles are in a constant spasm.. It's a neurological disorder called cervical dystonia. I can not drive a car more than ten minutes. But I can still shoot just not prone.

@@m2gjam139 Yes, I like all kinds of things. I have a 100 hobbies I think. I like to travel the mountains on my bikes. I had a Honda Shadow and a 750 Kawasaki way back. I have my Goldwing and Vulcan 1500. The Vulcan is built on the 1950 Harley Davidson design and loud. The GW is quiet as a mouse. You get an inner peace when you ride, at least I do. I'm sorry to hear about your medical condition.

I'm bidding on one right now on gun broker. I just subscribed to your channel because your video was very informative and gives me a better idea of what I'm bidding on

That’s great! Thank you. These are really nice rifles. It’s a shame they don’t make them like that today.

Thanks for the comment! Well I hope you find one. It’s hard to improve on something that’s already good.

So what was their premium model back then, the Stevens Favorite?

Is there a way to know what year my Marksman is from? I was thinking of selling it but I wanted to attach as much info as I could.

If you look up their history, it will give you an idea of its age. The serial number will help.

I have a Marksman but the rear sight is mounted just like the front, no up or down adjustment.
