An outstanding tutorial! Just an honest, unsponsored lesson in making old parts look their best.
Wow, thanks Chuck!
Tin foil + W.D. 40 is the winning combo.
Will definitely try that combo!
What a great idea with a great opportunity to help the next guy make a decision!
100%
Hawk Tuah !
LMAO! That's good!
The one that works the best is the one we will use to clean the rest of the bumper... Only makes sense Jason!😉
Just stating the obvious for everyone in the back!

Fun demo, Jason.
From what I've seen... aluminum foil is often used with a cola of some sort.
The folks who think this is the best say the more phosphoric acid in the cola the better it works.
Coke, Pepsi are the common ones but to do a "real" job you would want good old RC Cola (Royal Crown Cola) or Dr Pepper.
So says folk lore. ;)
Good to know.
Nice results
Thank you! Cheers!
If I can reccomend another product, not sure if you can get it in NB, but it's available here in Calais at local stores.
It's called Iron Out, it comes in both a spray bottle and as a powder. I think the spray bottle works way better. I originally got it because tge old city water pipes were causing terrible rust stains on my sinks, toilet, and shower. I tried every cleaner known to mankind and this was the only one that truly worked. The powder is good if your going to soak something.
My sister's Volvo is white, and she had the reddish brown brake dust not only visible on the rims, but on the car's body behind the front wheel wells.
Sprayed on the Iron out on her rims, used a soft toothbrush to scrub, let it set a few minutes, then rinsed it thoroughly with the hose. And Voilà, nice shiny rims and no brake dust stains.
Then used the Iron out on the white paint of the body, sprayed it on, let it set a minute, then used a rag, and finished with a thorough rinse. And it was perfectly white again, with no apparent damage to the clear coat.
A couple warnings, use rubber gloves, and in a well ventilated area, the fumes are seriously noxious. Also you want to rinse everything really thoroughly, my guess is you let it set without doing that it is strong enough to damage the finish.
You can also soak parts in a mixture of Iron Out powder and water, use a soft toothbrush, and the rust disappears. And it's safe enough to ad to your white laundry (all my white tee shirts had turned rusty brown because of the water pipe issue)
But it works great, and a little goes a long way.
Here in Calais it's available at Wally World in the plumbing section, and at JTV hardware, and probably at our other hardware store as well.
I think we have that here! I’ll definitely check it out! Thanks
I am not sure what grit the SOS pad is , but my go to for chrome is double O steel wool , it does not scratch chrome . Thanks for the video !
Great tip!
