I'm from the Netherlands and my English teacher played this song in class, I wasn't familiar with his music because he isn't known by most people here, but I felt in love with his music immediately (and unfortunately I think I was the only one in my class).. Mr. Murray should get the recognizion he deserves for his beautiful music.
I was eight years old when my teacher played this song in class.. it’s been twelve years and I feel like the time has weathered me. So bittersweet listening now.
i just listened to this song after not having heard it for many years and it made me break down in streams of tears on the floor. i don’t know why, but the lyrics of this song and pete murray’s voice touch me very deeply. i realised i relate to this song a lot and it reminds me not to miss opportunities in life because of fear. as someone who has struggled with bad anxiety for several years, there are many things ive held back from doing due to my stupid anxiety and a fear of the unknown. i don’t want to be that person. a lot has improved for me over the years, but this beautiful song just makes me remember that anything is possible and that my possible achievements in life shouldn’t be stopped by fear.
Forest Walker Amen! Heard it for years but never took in the words till now. The words are simple but true. Fear is made up, we make it up, but we can also tear it down.
Blessed! My entire focus is on end time prophecy which is playing out 100% accurate right before our eyes! Your song just popped into my head, talk about timing! "Hold on now your exits here" - for those waiting upon the return of Jesus Christ - Amen ... FAITH 🙏❤🕊
10 years ago, I was still a kid listening to song. I was motivated and work harder then I never had. 5 years ago, I went to college and studied a subject I didn't like. Now, I listen to this and had a postgrad offer, finally something that I wish to study for loooong.
Every time I hear this song on the radio, especially in the supermarket where I work, I'm reminded of the time I spent in foster care and how much I just wanted to be back with my mum. I would cry to this song, and I shed a tear to this day. Pete Murray let me know the time would come, that my exit would be here. I found my own way back home and have been living with her for 7 years. You can rest easy now mumma, I ain't going anywhere 😊
I went to sleep last night praying to God that he would show me he is coming back soon. I woke with this song in my head out if nowhere. Anyone reading this, accept Christ into your heart today before it's too late. It's easy, just put everything before him in prayer.
This song has helped me to see hope in a very dark season. I’m still holding onto the promise that good things are coming and they have been since a friend sent this to me. If you’re hurting, remember it’s real dark right before the sun comes up. But if you just hold on you’ll see your way home. Praying for you
Pure poetry...a classic...ive used many lines of this song to counsel my kids, grandkids & great grandkids...not to bad from a guy whod rather be surfing & jamming on a beach than performing
I remember my mum listening to this song when I was young. Recently got out of a dv situation of 4 and a half years. This song was my saviour. Listened to it everyday while in the relationship and it brought me the courage to leave.
They played this song for the seniors class of 2015 as we walked out of our graduation. What a bittersweet song to play as the 14-year chapter of my life ended: my future only just beginning.
we had forever young but this song was featured on our senior video all the way back in 2006. It is weird listening to it over a decade later, almost sounds like a different song. Probably because the lyrics 'soon you'll see' actually make sense at this age. Go get it while you are young.
This song just popped into my head moments ago after 3 serendipitous, consecutive links to the moon. I feel some lies and deceptions are imminently close to coming to light and the path forward can only ignite and incite the passions and gifts in our hearts and souls to burn bright 🔥 Keep shining o blessed one's, born of the Universe, wonderous stardust creations, children of God. On a grander collective scale we are rebirthing out of a time of much condemnation, fear, hatred, deception, opression and ignorance. Can you feel it? ✌️💓🙏🏽💫🌙🌅
This is such a great song. He's gotta be a Ben Harper fan. The intro sounds quite similar to "Another Lonely Day", and Pete sings those words in his first sentence! This song has one of the strongest chorus' I've ever heard.
I used to stop and watch Pete busking, he was way too good for the small crowds on the streets. All these years later and I still listen to this song on a weekly basis.
this should have so much more views than what it has, pete murray is a beautiful artist and this is one of my favourite songs. he deserves more recognition.
I have wasted a big chunk of my life, and I was at the rock bottom when I listened to this song for the first time, I remember crying while listening. But things are finally getting better, I think everything will be okay in the end, sure I made many mistakes in the past, but they made me the person I am today I won't make the same mistakes again. I can finally listen to this song with a smile on my face. I hope the person reading this comment also manages to find happiness.
And so it goes another lonely day Your saving time but your miles away Your fly was drowning in some bitter tea For seeing lost opportunity Find your mirror go and look inside And see the talent you always hide Don't go kidd yourself well not today Satisfaction's not to far away Hold on now your exits here It's waiting just for you Don't pause too long It's fading now It's ending all too soon you'll see Soon you'll see Your coffee's warm but your milk is sour Life is short but your here to flower Dream yourself along another day Never miss opportunity Don't be scared of what you cannot see Your only fear is possibility Never wonder what the hell went wrong Your second chance may never come along Hold on now your exits here It's waiting just for you Don't pause too long It's fading now It's ending all too soon you'll see Soon you'll see Hold on now your exits here It's waiting just for you Don't pause too long It's fading now It's ending all too soon you'll see Soon you'll see Soon you'll see Soon you'll see Soon you'll see Soon you'll see
this was playing at my Year 10 farewell assembly today And the kid playing the guitar one of his strings broke mid song, but he kept playing for the pure awesomeness of this song
Such a great musician, please find that core spirit if it's faded and come back to us Pete, never doubt the FACT that you mean a lot and are appreciated by millions of people, but on a sentimental level x100..
This song got me through so many decisions, the easy but als very tough ones. I'm gonna write these wise words on the wall next to the pillow, I wake up on every morning, so they''ll remind me that every day is filled with new opportunities and possibilities.

After many years my dream to record, write, and perform has come back to me in the most unusual ways😱 Never give up on the dream that’s in your dreams!!❤
Who is still listening to this in 2020?! I grew up listening to this when I was a little boy, I have fond memories of my mum dancing to this in the kitchen while she cooked dinner
This feels like a song that should have 200 million views.
I’ve heard it throughout my life and always assumed it was super popular…. Crazy.
All pete Murry songs should have had more views
We are living in a time when people are busy living out fake lives & pretending. 'Soon they'll see' or not it doesnt matter!
If he was in America he’d have 200 million views
So beautiful is a lot better

"life is short, but you're here to flower" that line gets me every time I listen to this song.
Just came to comment the same thing! 🙌🏼
@@teaganziviani3063 ok.
Me too! Especially in the studio while I'm painting flowers 😄
Very underrated Aussie performer!!
Who's underrating it?
@@ClassyRatedPG "Underrated" is probably the wrong word. He just doesn't get much attention.
no he isn't... he's won plenty of awards.
Agreed
Super overrated! I can’t listen to more than 30 seconds of this guy before shutting it off. I just tried this song to see if it was any different. No.
Pete Murray is one of those rare flowers of pure talent which Australians saw early in bloom and the rest of the world has seen in recent years.
"Hold on now your exit's here"
I play that driving down the M1 towards Brisbane :p
Koooooool 👍
Yep, in the right lane....
Eshay
You could change your middle name to 'makes' just a suggestion :-P
So cool!
Gave this man drive to the airport way way way back when he was visiting Canada. He has done well.
This bloke is so underrated....
what are you talking about? Everybody loves Pete!!!!!
Alias for benny cousins?
how??? He's one of the only aussies to win as many critic awards as he did..
I think you mean he doesn't get enough attention.
Pete Murray was large in his hey day
This is the most calming and beautiful song ive ever listened to. Such a shame people will never know such an awesome song exists.
We know it does.
We can make it so Pete gets what he deserves in term if rate and how amazing he is.
I love his songs. Greetings from Poland.
John Mayer knows.
Just another lost opportunity

I like songs like this. Messages about quiet courage.

2017 now and still sounds as good as when it came out in 2006. Such a great song!
I feel like this song was made for me cause I was born in 2006 and i only just graduated primary and it's discribing what I feel and what happened
Yeah, and he did release the album 'Camacho' in 2017 a few years ago.

I heard this today for the first time ever (a live version on the radio)
Love this song
Gonna play it to my girls later

We listen carefully to your magic words for over 15 years of your culture connection. Thanks, Brother Pete M.😊

+Emma Keleher Haaa, in 2013 we had Last Goodbye by Jeff Buckley playing... now that's bittersweet
+Emma Keleher Our cohort sung it at the end our graduation in 2012.
we wanted this song for graduation but it was too slow so we went with lanterns by birds of tokyo

they played the song this year when one of our teachers left, along with our 2017 graduation i think.

Will when I die, ....happiness is a relative thing.
If this song was released today would be the best song put out in a long time.
Holding the line here Pete and universe. Hoping that soon we will see a better future.
Such a motivational and inspiring song!!! Live your life people!!!
This song released the grasp that alcoholism had on me. Thank you Pete 💜
And so it goes another lonely day
Your saving time but your miles away
Your fly was drowning in some bitter tea
For seeing lost opportunity
Find your mirror go and look inside
And see the talent you always hide
Don't go kidd yourself well not today
Satisfaction's not to far away
Hold on now your exits here
It's waiting just for you
Don't pause too long
It's fading now
It's ending all too soon you'll see
Soon you'll see
Your coffee's warm but your milk is sour
Life is short but your here to flower
Dream yourself along another day
Never miss opportunity
Don't be scared of what you cannot see
Your only fear is possibility
Never wonder what the hell went wrong
Your second chance may never come along
Hold on now your exits here
It's waiting just for you
Don't pause too long
It's fading now
It's ending all too soon you'll see
Soon you'll see
Hold on now your exits here
It's waiting just for you
Don't pause too long
It's fading now
It's ending all too soon you'll see
Soon you'll see
Soon you'll see
Soon you'll see
Soon you'll see
Soon you'll see
