This is my favorite from the line. Probably because I love anise. You are spot on regarding the radiance and the longevity. It is a deep but close to the skin fragrance. ✌️
Haven't had the pleasure to smell this one but the EDT is absolutely beautiful! I'm wearing it right now. Don't usually wear it in the summer (especially in the daytime) but it had been so long and I love it so much. It could last longer and doesn't project that much off my skin but it is such a lovely fragrance. One of my all time favourites.
a lot of people say this is very different to the EDT, which it is (there's no cardamom note, but they've constructed it to still have a cardamom vibe, really clever), but it lasts a lot longer, and evolves to have some cleaner, refreshing notes in the drydown

I like medicinal fragrances for some reason, always have, those are always divisive. Anise tends to be a bit medicinal.

I think this one bangs. I see it as La nuit de L'homme with a dose of grit. I enjoy aniseed. The vibe I get isn't gothic, more like rugby player in a tuxedo.
I love this fragrance, but it doesn't feel heavy on me. Strong scent? Yes. But not heavy and it sits pretty close to the skin. Flat on the skin too, similar to Prada luna rossa Black
I'm almost out of my YSL la nuit de l'homme EDT, so I'm getting ready to get a couple samples, EDP and parfum. We will see which I like the best. Maybe I stick to EDT.
@@adamgm84 the reformulated edt is very dead compared to the og. I would recommend blue electric since it has the same level of character and longevity.
It's Unbelievable long lasting and have a very good projection however I agree with you this smells different from other flankers but in my opinion it's The Best after Blue Eleqtrique❤❤

This is one of those fragrances that doesn't really project much but the scent trail is gorgeous. Very light. One of my gym fragrance because it hardly projects. Gets compliments

You did secretions magnifique back when you first started you channel, but I don't think you've done any more of them. I really think you might like Fat Electrician
I have this one and, while it's not my favorite fragrance ever, it works really well as a winter office scent. It's subtle and fresh enough to not be challenging, but still has a hint of warmth from the LNDL DNA. Plus, it lasts forever on my skin without filling the whole room. So sorry you have that unfortunate association with anise.
Left a comment on the EDT version you reviewed. This parfum, it's awful. To me it smells like tick spray. Or some kind of spicy raid for bugs in that harsh opening and it doesn't go away. And thank you! I learned what was the spicy note that was off putting to me as well you, the anise seed. I've smelled that seed note for many years growing up and older older woman's perfumes has this and when it's mixed with powder it's the worst cloying smell ever in my opinion. It lingers in Halls and enclosed spaces for at least 20 minutes to a half an hour after the person has left. Needless to say I have a full bottle of this unused in the box and need to get rid of it. I have the EDT and thank God I got that one first. Keep up the great content.

Sambuca may be the booze that you're talking about. It's around 35-40% alcohol and tastes exactly like black licorice. I've had my fair share, but never got drunk solely on that. I could imagine it not being so much fun. 😂
This is one of the first times i actually heavily disagree with Aaron. To each their own, I really love this and this is my favorite from the whole line. It's super dark, spicy aromatic patchouli, with a good dose of pepper and cardamom. Sure it's quite dry but I think this one definitely is the most fitting dark fragrance that's also very masculine and broody.

My personal opinion is that differences between edt, edp and p, are just confusing!!! Look Guerlain homme ideal line...they have totally different notes, hello....why? Come on, name it differently for god sake!!!
This is why you should ignore all the labels and just go by what smells nice to you. Everything else is just marketing, as some fragrances aren’t even at the oil concentration that’s in their names.
I bought this with excitement. Turns out after 15minutes it does not exist on my skin and barely projects from my clothes either. Very disappointed with performance. Prefer La Nuiet

That one is lhomme le parfum (blue bottle) the one Aron is reviewing is la nuit de lhomme le parfum(black bottle)
definitely nothing from Y in here, it's L'Homme made much more intense and sexier

Does not project or last on my skin at all. I went through a bottle of this in no time. I actually really enjoyed the scent it was just to weak
it's an incredible scent but the real magic is how it dries down and evolves!! judging it on first spray is not ideal with this one
