Double willow Booyah spinnerbait for sure. Throw it in the middle of the action and as soon as it hits the water they hit. In the fall where I fish you can chase them around with the boat. So much fun

Schooling bass is my favorite kind of fishing and that season is almost here on my local lakes. I almost always target them with a jerkbait because they come up and try to injure a bunch of them then come back through for cleanup.
A jerk bait can definitely work well!
I was fishing schooling fish yesterday morning and wound up changing lures several times within an hour or so. Trying to figure out what exactly they were targeting is difficult to be sure. Had all kinds of tackle, lures, soft plastics, plus all the normal array of rods/reels scattered all over the boat. Lots of frustration but lots of knowledge gained from that experience and when I combine it with what you shared in this video (you are correct on every point you brought up, by the way), I am now more well prepared for the next time it happens. 👍🇺🇸

Cool way to catch them! I found last year a using a 5in flutter spoon, fished like a jerkbait just subsurface, was very effective. Curious if anyone else had tried this?
That’s pretty interesting! I do think a flutter spoon can be very effective in a schooling scenario because there are always bass below the ones busting on the surface, and a spoon can get to those pretty well.
