If they ported many of the monsters from Rush Duels, I can see they all get a "You can normal summon 1 {specific type and attribute} monster in addition to your normal summon/set" to try to mimic the Normal summon bit for Rush Duels. I really want to use Dragears in the regular game honestly.
Admittedly this artwork does a great job at being detailed and vibrant though I'd totally prefer way more menacing artwork having these really good effects. Konami just loves being Konami as usual...

What I love is that the spell allows you to kaiju any card your opponent has on the field. Getting past effect destruction monsters is one thing, but getting over spells/traps that float from destruction is nice too.
Somewhere in the distance, someone is really happy theirs an Archetype that can normal summon 3 times and they're going to use it as an Egyptian Gods Engine.
@@kagemushashien8394 it doesn't even tribute the opponent's card, it just send it to the GY. The way its worded also means that if a card like macro cosmos is on the field, it jut gets banished instead of being sent to the GY, even better.
It's actually really bad in this deck because you can't send the level 1s into the GY since they all banish themselves so you can only send the big guys. At least that's how it works in EDOpro

Nah Map is 100% a 3-of. It basically lets you search all the level 1s as long as you already have one, since they'll immediately bring themselves back when you NS the one in your hand, AND you'll be able to NS them immediately thanks to the extra NS the first one provides

Just as a heads up this deck can run "Where Arf Thou", "Pot of Duality" and either "Pot of Extravagance" or the new draw 2 spell "Wing Requital" and their field spell is just a searcher with extra steps. they can also search "Barrier Statue of the Stormwinds" giving them some nice Nibiru protection. the Continuous Spell is straight up nasty in combination with the normal trap and Flundereeze x Eaglen. so yeah this deck has A LOT of potential and wacky plays.

You can play Barrier Statue, you have a Book of Eclipse on legs and the Penguin is pretty much a Unicore... I feel like you have options. Not even talking about their amazing S/Ts

@@rd9669 Yes, but no. That used to work when people only had like 2 twin twisters in the side deck, or a lonely imperial order. People have learned their lessons and started playing actual S/T removal in the side deck in case Mine shows up, and if on top of that the archetype has a card that can deal with Mine by itself, will be more difficult. I am not saying that Mine decks aren't annoying, they are, but they aren't as pwoerfull as they used to be.
The continuous spell only lets you send your big birds to summon big birds because you can’t send the small ones, they vanish when they leave the field and the spell says send to the grave.
I wish Komoney gave this much love and care (Amazingly detailed artwork, synergized and customizable effects, etc.) to an archetype like I dunno... Crystal Beasts, Photon/Galaxy, Mermail/Atlanteans, Agents, Fabled...
Another example of Konami overcompensating bad/outdated mechanics. Kind of like how Drytron can ritual summon anything using their attack and can search any ritual spell/monsters. This time they made it so you can normal summon a bunch and even lock your opponent into normal summoning. Like I said, overcompensation, but I'm not complaining.
Might build this deck for my cousin's kids so that they can get into the game. A Tribute Summon deck with a simple enough gimmick to understand seems like a good intro deck. Plus, they're cute.

I dont think they will be that expensive. They have one ultra and one secret and maybe one more secret rare spell or trap. The rest is super or common. Atleast in the ocg side of things

The trap prevents u from special summoning, but u can still normal summon/set 3 times, which doesn't sound bad and all because u can still normal summon searchers to search for spell/trap. Then u realize the lv10 prevents monsters from activating their eff if they're in face-up atk position, and since u can't normal summon monsters in face-up defense position... Basically a main deck VFD that needs to be on the field to keep the negate. Sound balanced enough to me.
It only prevent ss monsters in attack from activating their affect. So your normal summoned monters' effect will still go through. But i doubt that would accomplish anything by itself
I can see some people getting tilted and some cards getting getting hit up for sure. When really this ain't as bad as some other archetypes. These birds like other birds, so they can kinda work with like three, four decks
There's alot of good tribute support cards. This archetype has potential since they don't lock you out. Not sure I'd run them with monarchs themselves are bricky.
Might be fun to run a few as tech based on the matchup. Mega Zaborg is nasty against meta decks, and Mega Mobious laughs at back row decks. Also let's not forget....Vanity's Ruler and Fiend arent restricted by this deck. Neither is this deck restricted by them.
Well, they might not be top tier on their own but maybe if we mix them with some other archetype like monarch or just some generic winged beast stuff, they’ll get up there. Surprised you didn’t mention that you can use the normal trap’s GY effect on the same turn it’s sent unlike some other cards.

Friendly reminder that the field spell + 1 level 1 bird gives you the penguin on your turn, and you can then summon Wiraqocha Rasca on your opponent's turn thanks to city of dreams to handloop for 3 AND you can chain block its effect by banishing the trap... and since Wiraqocha can spin itself, you can do it again and again, just like aleister...
Since the Flundereeze cards (both Monsters and Spell/Traps) are constantly getting banished, this Archetype pairs pretty damn well with Soul Absorption, granting you 500 LPs for every card removed from play. So, even if the opponent were to somehow bypass these birds’ Lockdown capabilities and launch an attack on your LPs, they’ll find that you’ve accrued enough activations of SA’s effect that it take an equally long while to whittle it down to 0.
an important thing to remember: all the Level 1 monsters and the Field Spell conduct a normal summon as part of the effect's resolution (think like True Draco backrow, Cynet Optimization, Simoom the Poison Wind, etc.) This means if the first part of the effect is negated, you do not get the additional normal summon. Since most of these extra normal summon effects are tied to getting cards from the deck, they are susceptible to Ash Blossom. This alone I think cripples the deck enough to prevent it from being TOP TIER SHIT.

Why even bother with Stormwind when you can just tribute summon Vanity's Fiend or Ruler? You never special summon so you're fine.

The stupidest thing with this archetype is you can normal summon 4 or 5 times in a turn... without using your regular normal summon.

Mysterious map is the deck's best card. It's a searcher AND an extender so it's definitely a 3-of and you should even play terraforming

an important thing to remember: all the Level 1 monsters and the Field Spell conduct a normal summon as part of the effect's resolution (think like True Draco backrow, Cynet Optimization, Simoom the Poison Wind, etc.)
This means if the first part of the effect is negated, you do not get the additional normal summon. Since most of these extra normal summon effects are tied to getting cards from the deck, they are susceptible to Ash Blossom. This alone I think cripples the deck enough to prevent it from being TOP TIER SHIT.
