I have my 99 trooper on 33s with custom winch bumper. Been dreaming of r2.8 swap and portals, but this video makes me wanna get my camping setup in and head out.😊
I’ve been riding dirtbikes at Reiter since the(late) 80s and I’ve broken more parts there than at every other orv area combined. I’ve only recently decided that I’m just too old to keep throwing myself at the ground and that maybe 2 more wheels wouldn’t be so bad. I will not be taking my new truck out there, but it’s good to see that some things don’t change.
I just finished section 3 and 4 of the Washington BDR this past weekend and this time and last year when I was doing it I kept looking for you on the trail. I even carry a marker so you can autograph my dash. Much respect to you from spokane
@@DirtLifestyle that propshaft prob. i tilt my rear diff up as far as it will stand.jack shaft up about 3''. or get a high pin 9''.. ausie.. i had a lwb f100 4x4. i got a double prop shaft, bearing centre, tilted diff up. the shaft was higher than the leafs.. nearly came to u.s., land in elko navada.. but im not mexican, british..
i love the addition of evans creek, i’ve been riding dirt bikes, wheeling and camping there for as long as i can remember. i still live right outside of wilkeson and go often
@PNW_Rodeo Yeah, it's the closest to stock lol, over here due to modification laws and that they are enforced reasonably hard, it would still be what we call cop bait and be constantly pulled over and defected. Even on some trails, it would be defected as the cops ride bikes around checking cars etc. It sucks, you can put vechicles through an engineer and get approval for bigger tyres and lifts etc but 35s are the limit in most cases.
@Bigcountry_littlelegs I had 40s and a custom built 4-link front suspension on my 2018 Ram 3500 and not a single cop pulled me over for mods. It's a shame Australia is so strict.
@PNW_Rodeo yep as the meme says, straight to jail 🤣 It sucks but also leads to interesting builds. We also seem to use winchs a lot more, and that's led to winch racing
Last to tracks where amazing love love the big green machine grand wagoneer is bad ass . Great to see a small cheaper build keeping up with your new rig
I love the stories behind these cars. An old forest ranger jeep that "I pulled it out of a backyard with a cracked frame and he it is" That's F**** amazing.
Great video and route! Loved the rig by rig walk around. Seeing the TJ made me so nostalgic!! I want to see that truck back on the trail again! It’s such a rad build. The channel just gets better and better.
Was super sad to see the damage from the accident but glad you were able to get some cash from insurance and excited to see the rebuild with the portals! Know it’ll be great! Keep doing you!
Used to do this in Arizona. Had my truck for 40 years, drove it to work everyday. We won't be doing those rock trails at this point. Nice drive, love the Bronco!
My buddy rolls in an Isuzu Amigo that he bought 10 years ago for $250, completely stock except for the tires.. fuckin thing RIPS and takes an absolute ass whoopin on a regular basis without breaking. It boggles my mind the stuff he’s able to get his tiny little rig through… Those little SUVs are definitely underrated.
Back in late 80's to early 90's I had a Toyota 4x4 and my best friend had a Rodeo that wasn't 4 wheel drive. It was crazy how many places he made it and how well that Rodeo held up. I always felt so bad for that poor truck of his. Lmao
I’m a Jeep guy through and through. However, I took a 5200 mile trip by myself in a Rodeo and it was literally the coolest fucking thing I’ve ever done in my life. I left from Scranton, Pennsylvania and went to Charleston, Atlanta, Orlando, Gulf Shores, Memphis, Nashville, Columbus, State College, and then back to Scranton. Took me a little over 2 weeks. Stopped in each one of those towns for at least a day, except Gulf Shores. I was there for 3 days for a festival.
So glad Girth is sticking around!!!! Love this series Nate, well done!!!! Favorite usage of trailer leaf blower, annoying your own kids with it, ha ha ha ha
Great episode Nate. I’ve been building my truck to do these types of trips. Your channel has been a big inspiration to get back into o building wheeling rigs again I have to say I’ve really enjoyed getting back into it ( having a lot more tools and abilities has helped lol) thanks man your channel is one of my favorites.
I need to get up to Evans creek again sometime, all the old school subarus you have seen up there are my friends lol, but we did do a camping trip up there long ago and it was an awesome campground there.
15:10 I could use the living hell out of that camping I've always done a broom but this day and age with tools like that. Especially if you bring a multi-tool for cutting use the same battery. Tool kits are awesome
This looked like an awesome trip. I’m in the Midwest with a 4Runner (OME 3” and 33s), we just did a big trip out to LA recently and got to do a little wheeling and camping in Utah on our way back. I’m totally hooked now and can’t wait to do it again.
Yea, my wife and I were out at Rieter a couple weeks ago. "Easy Trail" there is a relative term. We've spent a good bit of time at Evans and Walker. First time back to Rieter in close to 20 years and it kicked our butts.
Wow, 😊 what an awesome route Nate. I’m in my 50’s, so it was really cool seeing some of these older rigs like the Bronco and Grand Wagoneer. They really brought back some fond memories for me. Also it’s gotta hurt seeing this footage of the Taco, prior to the collision, but excited for version 2.0.
I was so excited to see the trooper. One because it’s a rare rig to modify, two because it’s manual, and 3 because it’s still IFS! Everyone says you NEED sas. I’m only 8 min in so maybe it breaks later on, but I love seeing stuff just OEM+ and wheeling hard
I grew up wheeling Evans Crick so when we went to the Olympics it really woke something inside up. Always have to drive home however scary depending on what breaks and remember drive lines still duct taped on while driving to work in the morning. I would love doing some Over land trip at least once.
That Bronco is such a cool build. Once my Bronco is done I'll have to take it to some trails like this. It would be cool if you did this in New Mexico or Texas.
I’m definitely gonna plan to head down from BC and hit this route hopefully next year if I can’t this year! We just finished the bottom half of the WABDR and most of the ORBDR a few weeks ago.
This is a cool hobby. This is the type of 4wheeling I did a little of and wanted to do more of. I had a Suzuki Samurai on Toyota axles with 35’s and then I wanted more room so I got an 85 4Runner with dual transfer cases, and a bunch of other goodies. I did a bunch of California trails when I lived down there but ultimately I sold the 4Runner and got out of the hobby. I decided that I’m just not enough of a mechanic and don’t have the passion or the natural ability to become a better one. It’s a hobby that seems to be about 3/4 wrenching, 1/4 actually out wheeling. And then you gotta make sure you have the skills and the extra parts, tools, etc to be prepared and get yourself through and off the trail. I had friends that had that ability and therefore it didn’t stress them out, but me, nah, too stressful! 😂
I think I heard you mention Enumclaw. I lived there for about 5 years and moved just outside Las Vegas about 6 years ago. I miss Washington. It's so beautiful out there. I miss being able to look out my backdoor and see that view of Mt Rainier.
I have lived in Washington state all my life, I just got into “ soft roading” lol I plan to buy a frontier or Tacoma wanted a truck for the house and to go off road camping. But what yall do is extreme I never knew we had all this over here.
The added cost of a two piece is a heck of a lot cheaper as soon as you have to build a new single piece. It also increases your chances of doing a match with the front.
A series idea: every episode is taking people with classic rigs on adventures, featuring them of course. This was a great episode!
I have my 99 trooper on 33s with custom winch bumper. Been dreaming of r2.8 swap and portals, but this video makes me wanna get my camping setup in and head out.😊
Matt & Shane's Secret Podcast 👀 I knew Nate was a dawg
Nice!
😎 when I was editing this I wondered if someone would call that out lol
IFS and 39s, and “I need to get the belly up” 😂 how high do you want the damn belly Nate?! That bad boy already has some mighty good clearance on it!
Apparently 4 more inches haha
4 more inches! 😁

Glad to hear it! Washington wheeling is underrated...
Because the liberals hate people driven on trails...@@DirtLifestyle
@@DirtLifestyle Not underrated, a well kept secret :) Also Reiter is pronounced "right-er"
That S10 is like my dream build!
Thanks👊🏻
My favorite 4x4 will always be an early Bronco. But that wagoneer is siiiiick.
That Rodeo is so rad. Well done sir 👍
Isuzus are sooooo underrated
Thank you. It's been a fun build.

We just need to decide on a destination 😁
I'm really happy you did this! I absolutely LOVE my life long home of Washington State.
i love the addition of evans creek, i’ve been riding dirt bikes, wheeling and camping there for as long as i can remember. i still live right outside of wilkeson and go often
That isuzu is about as serious as we can get in australia and drive it on the road, but it would be cop bait.
What you guys can do is crazy.
Mine is on 37s!
The Rodeo is a very mild build compared to the other vehicles in this video. It can still do 90+ mph on the highway, so very streetable.
@PNW_Rodeo Yeah, it's the closest to stock lol, over here due to modification laws and that they are enforced reasonably hard, it would still be what we call cop bait and be constantly pulled over and defected.

Rad video Nate. Really like the rig walk throughs during the trip and different setups.
The Evans Creek edits, perfection.
As always
Great video

This was awesome!
Awesome group of rigs!
Agreed! It was a great group
I had a '72 Bronco. Very well balanced through the front seats. I knew I missed an opportunity the day I sold it.
Great video and route! Loved the rig by rig walk around. Seeing the TJ made me so nostalgic!! I want to see that truck back on the trail again! It’s such a rad build. The channel just gets better and better.
You guys have some gnarly trails up there, definitely jealous!!
Love these videos, keep ‘em coming and keep up the incredible work!!🤙
Good to see the isuzu put in some work. You guys in PNW have great terrain. 🤤
i wish the midwest would open more public land up to 4x4s instead of just sxs and atv
Was super sad to see the damage from the accident but glad you were able to get some cash from insurance and excited to see the rebuild with the portals! Know it’ll be great! Keep doing you!
Awesome to see my buddy Colin out there wheeling with you, wheeled a bunch with him when he was back here on the east coast before he moved west.
Used to do this in Arizona. Had my truck for 40 years, drove it to work everyday. We won't be doing those rock trails at this point. Nice drive, love the Bronco!
Wife and I miss our early Broncos , 1967 , 1968 , and 1972
This route looks FANTASTIC! Well done yall!
Love to see Reiter. I spent a lot of time with the design crew putting together the concept for the trails
Looked like a great weekend wheeling,, little challenging, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
I've got an 86 Grand Cherokee Waggy very much like this green one with coilovers an 4 link in front with 62" leafs in rear on 37s and I LOVE IT!
Looks like a really cool trip. Good to see my buddy Colin with his Bronco out there.
Love seeing stuff in WA!! Makes me want to explore more of my backyard
Older Isuzu and Mitsubishi suvs are way under represented in the US.
