I added the first Super Mario Bros level to Bowser's Fury! [World 1-1 Bowser's Fury mod]

- Here is yet another Bowser's Fury mod where we put a level from another game into the new Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury on the Nintendo Switch! I recreated World 1-1 of the original Super Mario Bros in Bowser's Fury! We've added other levels to Bowser's Fury, including Super Bell Hill from Super Mario 3D World, and today we add the first level of the original Mario game! The shift from 2D to 3D and the mechanics of Bowser's Fury gives the level some really interesting gameplay, and I hope you enjoy seeing Bowser trying to destroy not only Mario, but the level itself!
The gameplay in the new Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury on the Nintendo Switch is really fun, and here's a mash-up between that game and the original Super Mario Bros by adding a level based on the original game into Bowser's Fury! The layout/ enemies/ blocks are the same, with mechanics from Bowser's Fury active :D

Some people in the comments have pointed out that Icay also talked about the glitch at 4:20 (hehe) in this video! I'm really surprised that somebody has found such an obscure glitch 😂 Awesome to know that it's already been found, definitely go check out Icay's content, really fun videos about glitches!

How did you count the blocks in terms of scaling? I've been meaning to do a similar mod for 3D World but I wasn't sure how to scale it. Do you count how many ground tiles SMB1 uses and use half as many big bricks? Or is it mostly creative freedom?

What to do next: Make Bowser's Fury in the original Super Mario Bros NES
Okay, that might be interesting to see... Not sure if this is possile at all, though.
It's impossible on the original NES, because the original SMB's size is about 40KB, so it's too small to make Bowser's Fury in. It will be possible if we made it onto PC
@@MedAnimations it might not be impossible, perse. All you need to do is buy NESMaker, design some sprites for Mario, program the mechanic of Fury Bowser, have Cat Shines take the place of the flagpole to end levels, and then compose versions of the music using the 4 sound channels available. I would suggest using Famitracker to compose the music, then transferring the NSF data to be used for the NES. Don’t ask me how; I don’t know.

It's nice to see how a simple recreation of world 1-1 becomes way more interesting when combined with Bowser's Fury mechanincs!
It surprised me to see that the pipes (except the ones for the secret area) have to spit you out because that's how they work and that you'd need custom ones to make them not enterable.
We also discovered a new glitch in Bowser's Fury, that was a nice bonus!
5:23 They really look almost the same. There's another similarity, since blocks in 3D World can have spinning Fire Bars, just like the ones in Super Mario Bros.

Now this is what i was waiting for! Excellent work and amazing video. Even the blocks go the right way. I like how clever you were with the pipework. It was interesting To see the warp zone, and the one up Mushroom on bowser fury. Shame it has no effect. I also had this video idea. Every cat shine or level you beat shrinks Mario down by 5-10%, effecting the speed and Jump hight too. How far can Mario go with the ant man powers before the game becomes i possible? (i also do t know IF you can scale the character, just thought it would be a neat idea)

If I may suggest something, using a brown version of the ground tiles in the underground section for the overworld section would be more fitting, as those tiles are very similar to the smb1 ground tiles. And for underground brick blocks, you could've just used the crystal ones, as they're essentially 3D world's version of underground brick blocks.

You shouldve made the level also like the Super Paper Mario version of 1-1. It has a 3d implement, and the way it is designed, there is a larger area for Mario to walk around.

Cool tattoo remade it 1 - 1 from super Mario because isn't Bowser Fury and this is a whole different game from super Mario games but not like this one because is a game that Bowser is covering all in slime like black slime and Mario has to stop them in the world of cats I think and he has to be like shadow Luigi because I don't know anything else from the game but I watch some videos of the game and I saw someone like beating the whole entire game Bowser's fairy like this game but I didn't know that you one dash one from Mario because this is pretty cool
