- Today we push the limits of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury modding by doubling Mario's speed every time Mario collects a cat shine, making possibly the world's fastest Mario! We play the Bowser's Fury part of the new Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury on the Nintendo Switch, and we start at the beginning of the game at Furstep Island, where Mario starts with double speed! After collecting the first Cat Shine, Mario has 4 times regular speed! Every time Mario collects a Cat Shine, his speed is doubled again, and we try to collect as many cat shines as we can in one hour of gameplay, cut down into to this video! This is a great Mario meme and there are many funny Mario gameplay moments in this video with a much faster Mario :D

In 3D World, when you get a Super Star and run down more than eight enemies, the chain restarts from 200 once you get a 1UP instead of just giving you more 1UPs. This is reflected in the combo sound effects pretending it's the first enemy again.
For some reason, Bowser's Fury retains the combo SFX even though they serve no purpose anymore, _and_ it retains the star idiosyncrasy.
Also, in 3D World, some levels have points pop up in certain cases (1000 for each powerup in Toad houses; 4000 for the stamp in stamp houses; and the points you get for kicking the golden shell in the "we interrupt 3D World to bring you New Soup 2" level) even while the score itself isn't displayed, which means that it's not tied to the score itself existing.
There's also the thing where certain standard enemies like Chargin' Chucks and Fire Bros. give you 400 or 1000 points instead of 200, and chaining into one shows that it works by taking the regular chain score of 200-400-800-1000-2000-4000-8000-1UP and advancing it by one or three steps when the enemy is a special type.
Which brings me to some questions (totally unrelated to this particular video) that may or may not be realistic to answer yet: do the enemies seen in Bowser's Fury have point values defined (even if they're just copies of those seen in 3D World)? What about Cat Shines and shards?

You can actually use rolling and cat dives at normal speed, so that should highly help.
Croutch walking will allow for precision walking.

That's really funny 😂 If Mario's speed kept getting doubled for every cat shine, he'd be going millions of times faster than his normal speed before even being halfway through the game! It's a bit difficult to control Mario at that speed 😂 And Mario might be spending more time in space than in Lake Lapcat!

Speedrunner Mario spent 12 hours building up speed, eventually his speed value will be over 10,000,000,000 which will allow him to skip 100,000,000 parallel universes eventually sending him back to his own universe, and straight into Bowser, the amount of speed Mario has will cause Bowser an instant gameover.

Whats with:You start with 100 cat shines and everytime you collect one you actually lose one?(like you collect one and then you have 99 but you had 100 at the start)
And I have another idea:Every half second you swim and/or climb you get faster(only there so if you go on normal ground you have normal speed,only while climbing and beeing in water you get faster)
You should find a way to automatically change stuff when you collect a Cat Shine, since it takes a lot of your time away and it's also not surprising what the new value is.

If Mario Speed Doubles every time he collects a cat shine (+starts out doubled) the formula for his speed would be:
15*(2^x+1), with (2^x+1) being the speed multiplier.
You need 50 shines to beat the game, so we can plug 50 into x, and get
15*(2^50+1)
or
15*(2^51)
2^51 is 2,251,799,813,685,248.
That's 2 quadrillion, 251 trillion, 799 billion, 813 million, 685 thousand, 248 times Mario's base speed.
That'd mean the final speed for Mario would be...

Mario would be about 112,667,935 times faster than the speed of light. I don't think Fury Bowser will be around too much longer...
