The World's Longest Pipe in Super Mario 3D World [Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury level mod]

- Here's the new Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury gameplay on the Nintendo Switch, but Mario goes through the world's longest pipe in Super Bell Hill! I made the world's longest Super Mario 3D World pipe in World 1-1, the level "Super Bell Hill", and we see what funny Mario moments we have from Mario going through this pipe!
I wanted to create a level with a super long pipe, making it extend far out from the level, and I wanted it to follow an interesting path! I love Marcel Vos' RollerCoaster Tycoon videos, and having a long path that Mario follows by going through a pipe definitely draws some inspiration from that classic game!
I created this custom Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury level using Spotlight, which is a level editor for this game (as well as the WiiU version of Super Mario 3D World), created by JuPaHe64! I strongly recommend the program for anyone interested in modding Super Mario 3D World or Bowser's Fury, it's fantastic!

Someone needs to make a mod where clear pipes are invisible, so that in this version of super Bell Hill, it looks like Mario is just flying through the stage.
Nintendo managed to do it when the water passed the clear pipe in the Switch version of Champion's Road.
Confused me when I first got to it.
Would love to see this comment become fulfilled, as it's definitely possible.

Clear pipes are amazing. I remember when Mario Maker 2 first came out, I’d just make a super long clear pipe to go through. There’s just something strangely entertaining about them.

You should also do the same with all of the other minor speeds (from 1 to 19/24) and then 100, 200, 500, 1000 and so on (until the maximum)!
You should've put a launcher a the start of the pipe to make Mario move a lot faster

This is what happens when a little timmy makes a custom 3d world level.
When you change the speed of the pipes, does it also change the goomba's speed in it, or is it a value, that is tied to a character?
Great question! Every individual piece of the pipe ("RouteDokanParts") is linked to something called a "RouteDokan" object. The speed at which you travel through the pipe is set in the properties of the "RouteDokan" object, so any character (Mario/ Luigi/ Peach/ Toad/ Rosalina) will go slower or faster through the pipe depending on the speed set in the properties of the RouteDokan object!
I tried putting a goomba through a long pipe at a speed of 20 and at a speed of 100, and it took the goomba the same amount of time to go through both pipes (there was a 1 frame difference, but that could've been just because of where I decided to stop/ start timing)

@@Freddie_06 Some different pipes in the game have different speed values - a lot of the main pipes in World 1-1 have a speed of 20, but the branching pipe where you get the first green star has a speed of 18 (maybe the developers made it slower so that you have more time to react to make the required turns), and the speed of the pipe that launches you is (I believe) 25!
Those are the default values, but all of them can be edited :D

An interesting idea I have is to do multiple levels where instead of making a really long clear pipe, make it to just go through the level normally while still collecting the stars and stamps, sorta like an auto level. I'm not sure if this would be a boring video or not but I thought up of it while watching this one.

During the stream you said that you would make a pipe longer than the longest pipe in the game, but you said It was the credits pipe, Thats wrong, the longest pipe in the game IS the start pipe, (the one in mushroom kindom) in the lore of 3D wolrd, the game happens in other wolrd/dimension, but that pipe travels ALL THE WAY FROM AN DIMENSON FOR ANOTHER.
Wait, can we create a pipe that travels from 1 LEVEL for ANOTHER?

Am I the only one who, when watching this, thought back to when I was a kid and building Marble Run tracks with my friends. Man those were the good ol' days. Who else remembers Marble Run? Cause I LOVED Marble Run, I call it and it was known to me as Marble Run so maybe if you don't understand it's just the track building thing and then you put Marble on it and watch them go down the course and do little fun races :)

I have some tutorials planned, thanks for the interest! The way that pipes work is you need to add a "RouteDokan" object, and create a link named "Parts" that goes from "RouteDokan" to each "RouteParts"
Object Name and Class Name of the "RouteDokanParts" object is "RouteDokanParts" and for Model Name, you can set it to whatever type of pipe piece you want (RouteDokanStraight4M, RouteDokanCorner, etc)
