- meet the band!! pep squad is a band of my and my friends’ ocs- hoshi (from my past two animations) on guitar, yume on keyboard, pep on vocals, and barley on bass! (and shrekerina on drums) this was honestly so fun to make aaa the art style is pretty simple because i was trying to finish this before school started (accomplished) and also trying to make a longer animation with more of a story (also accomplished, this is my longest animation ever actually!)
some stats: took about 32 hours, 10 fps and almost 800 frames! all done on flipaclip :D loved playing around with the new flipaclip brushes i really like them

THIS!! Wow??? You're honestly doing so well, the cuts between shots flow really nicely and the animation of your backgrounds is really impressive. love the loose sketchy style you're testing in this one and the way you use a limited palette to show light/shadow. VERY NICE :)

@@acluelessstar No worries I think I can remember most of it! SOOOO....The way you've improved so far is really good, I'd recommend practicing the 12 Principles of Animation and exercises from 'animator Island' just google 'animation exercises for beginners' and they have 51 in a list to work through. Check out Alex Grigg Animation for Anyone, his tutorials are amazing and he's an incredible animator. He's actually just signed on to work with Procreate so we might be getting some more animation features in the app soon-ish (there's an announcement in September/October I think?). Some more inspiration is Havzta who works with procreate and flipaclip - their stuff is amazing! Super dynamic. 11 second club is great if you want to practice posing or lip-sync as they have a load of audio clips from films and tv. If you have a favourite show or podcast, animating some of that can be enjoyable too. BASICALLY you'll improve if you keep making stuff you enjoy :) Think I've got it all?? haha :) Hope this helps!
