- My Cu-Mai Nakiri for the TH-cam Chopper Challenge! It's 90 layer random pattern damascus, with a 1084 core and copper shims. It has an antler handle with 7000 year old bog oak, blue G10 and blue pearl resign spacers with mokume gane for a bolster and antler cap. The cap is held in with a dragon pin from the fantasy blade challenge. I hope you like it!
That is a very attractive knife with great attention to detail. Thank you for sharing the build.
Thank you!
Captivating blade. The copper really sets it off. Good luck.

Thanks for posting this, it's a very pretty blade, and a nice recovery from the pesky delam.
Thank you! I remember the words of an old time knife maker. "We don't make mistakes, we just make smaller knives!" SO true! Lol
You deserve more subs, you work is sublime.

Thank you
Beautiful work, but man she looks THICCC for a nakiri!
Thanks and yeah she's a little on the thick side. It's a chopper though, not a slicer so I kept it like that.
Man that came out cool!! :D
Thank you!
Very cool.
Thanks!
Very nice...
Thank you!
Great.
Thank you!

Thank you!
👏👏👏👏
🤜🤛
Pretty darn cool. Not sure where Ku-mi came from exactly but Ku / kyuu is 9 in Japanese.
It's more slang than literal. San mai- three layer, go mai- five layer, cu mai- copper (Cu) layer.
@@tutorknives Ah makes sense. Beautiful creation none the less. 💜💜
