Really nice cover Ruben. I agree that having that extra character on the art is better and it's pretty cool that you were able to share that difference with your original comic art collector pals.

@leeparmertercomicart Thanks, Lee. And yeah, I'm all about sharing!
congrats on the really nice cover, Ruben! I like how it was originally drawn as well with the added/alt characters mentioned but it's nice that you also have the other patch to complete the final published look. i was annoyed for you during the actual unboxing/opening portion with the uneven tape cutting and less stable nature of a half masonite half cardboard package. makes it a lot harder than it needs to be

@PanelsPagesPixels Thanks, Kavi. Yeah, the original version is just cooler looking and as long as I have the patch for it, I still see it as the published cover and it displays better, I think. I just stuck the patch behind the cover in the portfolio sleeve. I don't need to see the final version, but if I ever show anyone the portfolio in person, it's easy enough to just pull out the patch and explain the story behind the cover, which is always fun to do. The packing definitely needed some work, so hopefully any less experienced packers that watch this video can learn something from it!
The Grummett aficionado strikes again!! Congratulations!!
I did indeed, thanks Stanley!
Nice!
Thanks, dude!
Great cover Ruben! I love the original best. Very happy for you my brother.
Thanks, Lance. Yeah, everyone seems to prefer the original!
A deep notch in your Grummett wall of fame!
@rickwelch6612 You almost make it sound like it's a notch on my bedpost, Rick! 😂
Just as long as you don't sleep with it under your pillow ;)
@@rickwelch6612 Definitely not! I wouldn't keep it any closer than on the night table next to the bed. 😜
Congrats on a cool addition to your collection!
Thanks, Jason!
Very cool pick up congrats!!
Thanks, Danny, I appreciate it!
Very cool opening, I like it.
Thanks, Hon! I just wish the openings would be viewable when people watch in rewind. Unfortunately, they only play once during the premiere!

Tom Grummett?? Is he like Daniel Warren Johnson?
@tommcdonald9337 Yes, he is, but even better! 😉
Awesome opening Ruben and awesome piece you got! Nothing against Donna Troy but, I love the original iteration!
@deeeekay Thanks, Dave. And yeah, I feel the same way!
Well...Well...nice blue shirt...combed hair...must be Date Night with an OA! 😁
@hartr33 That's correct. The only dates I get anymore! 😜
