I have been using the Loupedeck CT professionally in Premiere Pro as an editor for about a year now and I just love it. I'm not a fan of the factory pre-sets but where this really shines is the ability to custom make your own default work pages and shortcuts on the Loupedeck. I have my own "editing" page set up with "new sequence from clip", "Export" and all sorts of others that used to be two keyboard hotkeys (like control+M) or multiple mouse clicks like "scale to frame size" and many others. Love the "jog dial" with the play/pause in the center. I now have my left hand on the Loupedeck and right hand on my mouse and really never touch the keyboard unless I'm naming something. Mapped some frequently used keys like "cut" and "in marker" etc. and I fly through editing clips. Love the small dials on the sides especially for zooming in and out of my timeline. Every button, dial, and surface is customizable and they update the software constantly refining the software interface and improving the experience. IMHO 5 stars!
Can I assign a single button to set the duration of a clip to 2000% and then bring the clips that follow to snap back into position? I am interested in creating hotkeys that do a bunch of things in one stroke.
Thank you for the review. Lots of good pointers - especially how to customize the keys (2:22). More helpful, would have been a comparison with its cousin or brother - the Loupdeck +. One tip to you - drop the squirrely background music, it was distracting and unnecessary. Cheers from Montréal.
Thanks Frederic. But, I'm not sure there is much of a comparison with the Loupedeck + as it's primarily for editing photos (in Lightroom). It doesn't have any video editing controls, just colour controls.
Yeah, that's a good point. We used the panel to edit a bunch of projects when the cameras weren't rolling! But hopefully our comments towards the end are useful.
I have the same. Very quality thing. It’s cool but keyboard with mouse are the most useful still. I like the rolling knobs in Loopdeck , but the main jog wheel is not so good. Too smooth for me. The Contour Shuttle Pro design is better as I feel it.
totally worth it! Fully integrated in Resolve. Its super great and makes editing much faster by laying the left hand on the Shuttle with the possibility to press all buttons while still use the mouse. Have made combinations like Slice and ripple at the same time or open the retime window with one button. So handy.
The review was nicely written but I have less a criticism and more a help, hopefully. Because we learn from good criticism that informs us what makes something better, right? I've been making commercial videos for 30 years so know a little. This is a video review but you treated it as if you were on Radio. We had to put up with your talking live while you explained everything instead of using the power of video to SHOW us and use your voice to narrate. This means we had to imagine EVERYTHING you were saying. (And you said a lot). You made it like you read your review text after you wrote it. That is usually called a script but instead of making a film from it, you went on the screen and read it out and instead of seeing a product we had to watch your mouth move and your eyebrows go up and down. That means what we saw was boring. Hope you can learn from this and show more product and less you. That is what people watch for in a view, after all. And younger envelope put a link to the product but, instead, put a link to all your services. Come on guys. Product reviews need to point to a product so people can buy it. You know that because you did it for yourselves.

Great feedback and usage tips!
If love to see you do a review after using it for a year
can it make shortcut for multiple step / action in premiere pro?
Sharing with our editor friends! Thanks for the review!
Please do! Thanks a lot.

Was waiting for this review from you.
Thanks Hec. How did it stack up? What are you thinking?

Great video, ¿How do you achieve a take like in the 0:42? look really good.
Does it have the ability to drop a clip from the source monitor onto the timeline or is a mouse drag and drop still needed?
Would have been nice to see it in action with an edit. Feels a bit like we are just hearing the instruction manual being read out here.

@@FilmEditingPro some over the shoulder filming would petty cool

Yeah, keyboard and mouse is king! (until someone invents those Minority Report gloves)
speed editor is just fine _ for me_ good remark 8:35
By now April 2024. Is Davinci Resolve supported?
I was wondering if shuttle pro v2 is still worth it ????????
Sorry, no experience with the shuttle pro

Great work... Amazing content...
Thank-you you Harrison, much appreciated.
your content is amazing. The quality is super high. Way above others
Man just made a whole tutorial, and this is what u have to say? 💀
Thanks, that's kind of you to say.
This may not be the best place to ask but I will, anyway... What is the cheapest video card for Premier Pro CS6.?
CS6! That takes us back. Sorry, don't have any recommendations.
I think I need a 3rd hand for this.
Hahah. Yep, that would be handy!
This work with ipad pro?
amazing video, wat kind of keyboard do u use
It's made by Editors Keys.
Loupedeck CT have a profile for Final Cut and Adobe but not for Avid? what a shame
It's probably because AVID have not made an API available for Loupedeck to integrate with. I would guess.
hlw sir i like you..... your videos is yours fully
