I know this was a year ago but, if you drill a hole from the back to the front behind your numbers you can run some of your lights through to the posts behind the numbers (you might need to make them bigger. just poke the lights through the hole, go around the posts, then back through the hole before moving on to the second number.

The number not visible. I didn't like the light visible below the box frame. Maybe put lights around the number.
