How did you secure it to the ground, is it sort of just sitting there?

I dug about a 4-5” trench and buried the bottom 1/4 of the slab and then packed the dirt back in tightly. It has held up great for years now.

I dug out a channel about 5 inches deep for it to slide into and then I packed the soil in tightly around it. Hasn't moved at all in the last few years its been there.
