Spicy food is kinda of a norm in Thailand. If you can eat spicy then it opens up a lot of menus in Thailand. I recommend you try 'Paad Krapow' and 'Tom yum goong'. Hope you have a great trip here.

But Bangkok was built and had a city plan similar to Ayutthaya. Ancient travel of Thai people or Siam (former name of the country) mainly used river or canal transportation. As you can see, there are few rivers and canals in Bangkok left because many of the original canals were turned into roads more than 150 years ago. Nowadays people understand that the ghat of a house is the back part of the house. But in reality, in the past that was the front of the house. Traditional Thai houses are only built facing the river or canal. Everything changed with the advent of Western technology and to avoid Western colonization. The King of Thailand at that time wanted to develop the country to be on par with Western nations. Because one of the reasons for colonization at that time was claiming to help develop these countries to become as developed as the West. Just like Burma, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia were once occupied. This means that in Southeast Asia only Thailand has never been occupied by a Western country. But in order to survive, we had to give up some territory, namely Laos and Cambodia. Before France occupied Laos and Cambodia, they had belonged to Thailand.
Every time you order Thai food, please tell the staff that you don't want it spicy. They will cook food properly for you. May you enjoy your new experiences in Thailand and the Thai people will always take care of you.

@@PetrenaSchell Hi l'm thai people. I would also recommend Krabi ( around 100 km from Phuket). As beautiful as Phuket If you come to Krabi, I recommend kayaking at Tha Len Bay and then going to Phi Phi Island. It's very beautiful. You can go to Krabi or Phuket by plane because they both have airports.
At 3.48 The fish you saw is not seafood . Those fish is sold for releasing them into the river as locals believe that they will be lucky or recover from sickness after they help the fish by giving new lives.......
17 hour flights are SOOO awful, hahha. Even if the airline is really nice, everyone is polite, even the food is good, it's just so bad on my butt and back, stuck in a seat for so long. I always intentionally choose transfer flights just to get a couple hours to stretch my legs.
