I love Eric Carr, I love his makeup, I love the man
I love Eric Singer's virtuosity and the way he plays. Love Criss' feel and unique drum parts

@@KenVance Been playing guitar and in bands since I was 16. I know good drumming. Criss was good in the early days but he's never been as good as Carr or Singer. @@DMDvideo10 So, you're going to argue with my opinion? I never said Peter was a better drummer than Carr or Singer. I just stated that Peter Criss was and will always be the Kiss drummer for me. I appreciate what Carr and Singer brought to the table during their time with Kiss but, I would like to point out though that roughly 90% of the material Kiss toured with after Peter and Ace left or were kicked out of Kiss all the way up to their final show, was that old material from the original band era. I think that speaks volumes as to what the Kiss sound that is preferred by most fans as well as Gene and Paul. Like it or not Peter wrote all of those old drum parts.

Sooooo powerful, his drum sound was Huge, his playing style was aggressive, he definitely pushed Kiss to be a heavier band. Peter's work on the first 7 albums was GREAT ! Between 1974 and 1977 Peter was amazing. 100,000 years solo in 1976 at Cobo hall is proof of that. In fact, Peter's drumming on Kiss alive is the only thing that Eddie Kramer said he didn't have to touch up in the studio. I saw Peter on the reunion tour at MSG and again on the PC tour. I think his playing on the PC tour was better than the reunion. Peter Criss is a living legend. For his haters it's not 1976 anymore. We all get old and go through shit. I saw Eric Carr with Kiss on the CN tour in 86. He played a tremendous solo and it was definitely a highlight of the performance. I think Eric's style was what they needed in the 80's. I think it's a shame how he was treated by P and G at the end. RIP Eric Carr. As far as Eric singer I think he's technically the best drummer Kiss ever had. I thought he was great on Revenge. That being said, I stopped going to see Kiss live after the original line up broke up again. I guess I'm a purist and I just didn't like Tommy and Eric Singer dressed up like Ace and Peter. I discovered Kiss as a little kid in 1976. Alive was my first Kiss album and it's still their best live record. It was a different world in the 70's and there was a mystique surrounding them at the time. No one knew what they looked like. Unless you were alive at the time I don't think u can truly grasp what it was like to be a Kiss fan. Anyway, they were all great and exactly what Kiss needed at the time. 🤘

Not taking anything away from the others, but there was only one KISS and that was with Peter.
Honestly when they first came about I though they were more of a gimmick than good musicians. I did draw the characters on students school book covers. Then someone gave me the Alive album to listen to 100,000 years. I like most any percussion and liked that and some other songs. After Peter and Ace left I never listened to any of their other stuff.

Eric Carr, hands down. Peter had a good drumming style, jazzy with a little R&B flair. Eric Singer is a beast behind the kit, definitely a metal drummer, but The Fox was the best in my opinion. Carr fused the English rock style with hard rock and put his own spin on it and really elevated KISS' sound in the 80s

Peter Criss all the way. You look at the original band live and it just worked and they’ve never been the same since. Eric Carr and Singer are great too. Just different

my opinion .Peter Criss had the correct feel for there music at that time they didnt need a double bass power drummer .Peters Style made those songs great like Ringo to the Beatles .Then the next phase was Eric Car who made the music of that Era Heavy and added that 80 heavy feel to take kiss to the next level .Not much of Peter Criss in his playing all his own .Then Eric singer came along and mixed the 2 together to sound like a little of Both of them that was great also ..But for me i have to go with the Original Cat man Peter Criss ..Stay well

Carr, Criss, Singer in terms of favorite. As a diehard that goes back to the 70's with the band, COTN was exactly how I had always wanted to Kiss to sound. Singer, Carr, Criss in terms of technical ability although it's really probably a wash in that department between the two Eric's. I like Pete, he helped define their sound but I also always felt he was the weakest member of the band in terms of playing. Yes, no doubt he fit as the 70's catalog can attest but how much more powerful could Kiss have been with a more Bonhamesque or Appice type of drummer.

Carr is obviously the best (Creatures of the Night, JFC) but unfortunately a lot of his playing live was just too fast. Peter has great feel and swing but sounds like a nightmare personally. He's also up and down live. There's a video of them playing a show either during or right after the recording of Destroyer where it's the best I've ever seen him. Singer is a studio musician (or hired gun, I should say) and sounds like it. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Well it was the times when other bands played fast and Kiss tried to keep up. They werent setting the trend, they were following it. Check out Animalize live uncensored and tell me it isnt good?

For all the talk of Peter Criss's ineptitude I have never heard anyone replicate his sound. Try to duplicate the end of Love her all I Can. I'll wait. Not one drummer on you tube can do it. Neither can Eric Singer.
