Thanks for the video. Your spot on about the quail. I've been raising quail for six years now. I have a quail house and a ground pen and the ground is definitely the best way to go for the bobwhites. In my opinion the bobwhites are the better tasting bird for sure, and that's all I raise anymore.

thanks for pointing out these differences. Been reading up on both kinds of quail. The bob whites are more appealing to me as well because I want to use them for dog training in addition to the eggs and meat.

@@patriciaeasome2883 I think it's called clear flex tubing. Seems like it was in the plumbing section or maybe in the garden center with the irrigation stuff. You can also order it online.

Thanks for this! I have 100 Bobwhite quail in the incubator right now at day 16. What kind of waters are you using. I like how they are on the outside of the cage.

Please never keep quail on wire floors. It can really hurt and damage their feet and prevents them from doing natural things that they love.

No they actually do pretty good especially if it's a vinyl coated wire... Which this guy does not have. He should change that. They love eating drinking pooping and being with other quail and doing quail things if you give them fresh fodder and sand box and a quality food and clean water they do fantastic.

@@jeremiahjohnson6242 Coated wire is better but normal wire like this guy has is just cruel. It can cause foot pain, sores, and bumblefoot. They also need a dust bath and at least 2 square feet per bird.

I do not keep quail anymore but when I did I never had any problems with this type of wire which is 1x1/2 inch. However the wire that they call hardware cloth that is 1/2x1/2 inch will cause foot problems because it has rough edges. I don't use the coated wire because the coating will start peeling and the birds will eat it.
