I was gifted 100 bob white eggs to hatch, so am taking a crash course on everything quail. Your video is one of the best I've watched so far and I've watched quite a few. You get right to the point and give good explanations as to why one shouldn't do those things. And, I can identify with you on a few because of the pea chicks I had and the chickens and ducks I currently keep. Thanks for taking the time to share this!

Thank you. We are 3 days in with our 1st flock of 20 (5.week olds). Eventhough I watched numerous videos and took a class I still am running into things we need to adjust. Thank you for being real and encouraging.

Nice video. Everyone make mistakes, if we didn't we wouldn't be human. I've been thinking if adding quail to our farm, in addition to our ducks and chickens, here in West Virginia. We wanted some sheep, but we have way to much Mt. Laurel, Rhododendron, and other toxins on our place. Besides, we have a lot of Amish families moving to our area who are raising sheep. You have another subscriber. My 13 year old daughter and I will be checking out your other videos. Nice to see honesty on this platform.

I just use quart mason jars and the chick bases you can buy at your local at store! Super simple to get started.

Quail are the perfect farm animals to own if you are in a small area! There are a few ways you can keep quail inside. I would definitely suggest a bunny or hamster enclosure that has a very high base because then the quail are less likely to make a mess outside of the enclosure because when you have bedding, they like to kick it everywhere. So, the higher the sides, the less mess you will have! And as long as you clean it out frequently, about once or twice a week (depending on how many quail you have per enclosure) it shouldn’t smell! Especially if you use pine shavings, they tend to put off a strong scent, and if you like the smell of pine, then that’s great! Hopefully this helped!
