Yo does the LC Recipe with Caro and Peptone also work with those woodloving growing shrooms. ( Lions mane, turkey tail, reishi, etc.) And does it work also with the cordyceps? I mean from my logic it should. What `s your opinion.

I love how simple these are to grow. I would normally expand mycelium to other substrate like coco coir. Never imagined you could fruit them right in the jar. It's great that cordyceps don't require a lot of fresh air exchange. I run a 6k bulb I'm thinking that should work rather than blue LED's. Also I'm not sure if the three day incubation period is even needed if the light is indirect. I stopped putting mycelium in the dark and find I get less overlay and better grows overall. My flow hood is a lot smaller than yours so I want to try fruiting in shoe box size tubs.
Hey Boss Mon 🫡 3 Questions Please 🙏🏽 Without an InstaPot, does the brown rice get fully cooked in a regular pot, Or just semi-cooked to hydrate just like grain spawn? Secondly, I see this isnt a sterile process, so when I finish cooking the rice, it should be fine to transfer from my stovetop ( downstairs) to my lab (upstairs) without it ever contaminating correct ? Lastly bro 🙏🏽, I have a 12 qt bin available to me, will this same recipe/amt of rice be too thick since your using a 16qt bin? I appreciate you 👊🏽
@@junerobinson1220 You should be fine to just partially cook the rice but it is still sort of sterile besides the bin not being sterilized. The instapot does effectively keep the rice sterile until it’s added to the bin. You may have more concern of contamination without instapot and by transporting the rice. You can see I open the instapot in front of the flow hood to be safe. If you can’t use an instapot you should be using the jar method with pressure cooker. You are free to experiment with your way though.

The music was safe to use and I gave credit like I was supposed to and like many months later I got a copyright strike for no reason and was forced to mute the video including my voice. I live in North of India where the majority of year is warm and humid with temperatures as high as 46 degrees. The lowest temperature are 3 to 5 degrees that too we get is hardly for 10 to 15 days in end of December and early January. Do I need to install some air-conditioning system? What about the market of this product?
how do you incubate it below 70? The only place in my house that gets that cold is the refrigerator. lol people who keep their homes below 75 are crazy. my thermo stays at 78
Honey!? Honey has antifungal properties and your slowing your progress doing so.theres acids in honey that slow your growth. Just trying to help.,happy growing
I beg to differ tge acids are still present just diluted. Try Karo corn syrup. My results show its faster than honey diluted.trust me I been experimenting since the 90s before we had all this wonderful internet information.

@@williamdevlin5439 I apologize if I came off rude and I appreciate the insight, I just find it crazy for me to trade honey for corn syrup. Honey is basically the cornerstone of my business. I have used corn syrup and other nutrients such as LME and peptone. I have my reasons for keeping honey as the main ingredient in my liquid cultures. Corn syrup creates a nice clear LC media but the mycelium stays weak and does not produce a lot of mycelium in LC. LME + peptone creates mycelium that is knotted and too thick. Honey creates thick full mycelium that is more easily broken up by the magnetic stir bar and doesn’t need to be stirred as frequently. Those are the reasons I use honey.
@@JavierSorrin the rice is cooked in the pressure cooker in one method and the rice is cooked in the rice cooker in the other method. In both methods the rice is cooked. You could be more thorough with your questions if you want better answers.

Yeah one of my sterilizers is electric but you can definitely just use a presto 23 quart pressure cooker.

Yeah the dark period is specifically for cordyceps.

Depends on your environment, you can use a still air box to mitigate risk. Also an air purifier helps.
