  • Sonata No 2: Introduction-Toccata-Fugue
Wolfgang Rübsam, performing live on the Roosevelt organ opus 494-OHS National Convention Chicago, Oct. 3rd., 1986
This organ was one of the finest in Chicago and in dire need of restoration. The recital was extremely difficult to "manage" due to
cyphers at any given moment in time. Enjoy the sounds, as the church was demolished in 2013 and the organ taken down for storage by the catholic diocese. This is one of the extremely rare recordings ever made. I have more and will post on this channel from my vast sound archive.

What a beautiful and rich sounding pipe organ. Let's hope that it may be placed in another building suitable for its true grandeur.

The instrument needs major restoration work and presently in storage in Chicago.
