People don't bother doing this upgrade to much headache don't mess with the oem connector. You guys want to get rid of the overheating problem? Super easy. I got rid of the problem with 24$ go to autozone and buy a fan switch of a 1994 suzuki swift 1300cc and the thermostat both work at 195 degrees Fahrenheit and no mods required just take off both stuff and put new ones thats it trust me after that you guys wont have the problem no more. I live in Puerto Rico and here we got tropical weather all year long and never got overheated on a traffic jam. Just do does 2 things and you'll remember the day you saw this comment 😉

Jonathan when you did this modification you haven't had any heating problems with your busa? I bought what you said to buy haven't installed them yet i bought the thermostat I worried about the gasket for the thermostat where to buy one. And did the thermostat fit properly? Thanks

Q Dog Nop no overheating. Remember its best to take of the oem thermostat to compare it with the one your going to buy on sizes obviously there not going to look the same but they have to be the same size. The gasket it’s not going to be a problem the oem thermostat comes with a big Oring on it just swap it to the new thermostat get some gray silicone and put around the water hose neck as a gasket but most importantly the fan switch .I highly recommend for you to take off both oem thermostat and fan switch to compare them at the auto parts remember the new parts they have to operate at 195 degrees thats very important!

The problem is your air inlet temp sensor. It gets hot when driving slow couse it’s above your engine. Making a low fuel air mixture. Creating more heat. You have to move the sensor to cooler position or put some isolation around it.

Have you any updates on the switch and fan, I'm in Chicago and have to lane split for fear of overheating the Busa. Any advice?

Brandon Roberts I'm waiting for the Florida summer heat to give a real review. I'll post it

Sorry for the delay. Totally forgot about this video. Turned out the issue kept on until I changed the started and cleaned the starter gears. I’ve been here in Florida for about 4 years and no issues since

I put a switch on my fan. I just turn it on and off when I want and it will come on like normal if you wait for it.

Virgil Scott .... I thought about a manual switch but I didn't want to bother or worry about forgetting. Automatic is the way to go for me

i was worried about my own that i just purchased 3 months ago.. as i use it for city comute for like.. 10 miles.. every day.. and we do have some very hot summer days at times .. ( over 30 degrees celsius ) but the bike ran cool even with the stock setup all summer long.. so i'm cool.. :) I will not upgrade this one.. next year maybe.. i will just buy a gen 2 bike.. thanks for the reply anyways. Ride safe !
