      On the bright side, you will have a soon to be much more rare version of Gliss on your car! On a serious note, if you purchased it from Sky's the Limit Car Care and decide you do not want to use it, then we STILL have your back and will eat the cost of the product and replace it with Gliss 2.0.

    What would be the process in order to add it on top of Dquartz-go? Standard one layer of dquartz wait an hour then gliss 2.0? WOuld you recommend this combo better that cq3.0 and sic?

      For using Gliss 2.0 as the top coat you want to wait 4 hours after your base coat of DQUARTZ or CQUARTZ. Your second question is a TOUGH one because it is possible it will vary by environment and I do not have the 10 years of data we have with CQ UK however based on MY testing here in Florida the answer is YES to DQUARTZ GO. After having it on my daily driver for over a year and abusing it far worse than I intended to it is still going strong... so for my own eyes and everything I have seen I believe DQUARTZ is the strongest option anywhere on the market.

    So the 1 million$ question : SiC vs Gliss 2.0 as a topper on CQ Go/CQ UK/Skin/Dlight ? From what I can tell, SiC would be more durable and adds hardness?
    I'd like extra slickness, less waterspot vulnerability and hydrophobic over the coating.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Indeed it is the 100000000$ question! The truth is that you cannot lose with either option... Yes, SIC is more durable and MAYBE slightly more hardness. My bet would be SIC for more waterspot resistance. We have seen that over time. Gliss 2.0 is brand new so I cannot make that long term claim yet

      @redboy81 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @SkyCarCare thanks for the honest answer. SiC still have the edge on protection but Gliss 2.0 got closer, and it's cheaper too. In the new product, I think DLight got it over Skin for sure.

    Is Gliss 2.0 slicker than SIC?! I’m a BIG fan of SIC as a top Coat over CQUK 3.0 ! Would Gliss 2.0 be a better option?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would stick with Sic over UK if you already LOVE it. Hard to beat that combo imo! As far as slickness, I think Gliss 2.0 is MAYBE more slick than Sic but all the other attributes that SiC offers are beyond anything anywhere on the market for a top coat imo.

    Can I use the car pro decon towel with hydro foam to clean decon and seal at the same time?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You could but it will most likely cause way more trouble and time fixing than time saved. Hydrofoam needs to be only on a wet surface and only a very short amount of time.

    Getting ready to "refresh" my car which is coated with CQuartz UK topped with CQuartz SiC. Was going to use Essence Plus with the CarPro white gloss pad since Essence has some filling capabilities for micro marring in the coating. Does this new Gliss have any filling capabilities which might make it a better choice over the Essence Plus?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great quesitons! Firstly, we must distinguish between Essence "primer" and Essence "PLUS" (2 different products). You may use Essence "primer" as a polish before coating but may NOT use Essence PLUS for that. Essence PLUS would be your best option for what you want to do if you want the least laborious route. The other option of using Essence "Primer" to lightly polish on the other hand will remove some of your existing coating but you could use Eraser and then Gliss 2.0 over that.
      Essence Primer is a polish with abrasives that also has Sio2 fillers but is not very hydroophobic by itself and needs something more after.
      Essence PLUS does not contain abrasives but is quite hydrophobic and has lots of fillers but should not be coated on top of.

      @@SkyCarCare I guess what I'm really asking is does Essence Plus work better than Gliss 2.0 to "refresh" a coating? The reason I originally chose Essence Plus was because of its filling capabilities to help address micro marring in the original coating. Does Gliss 2.0 have fillers?

    Can I top DLight with SiC or is better to top it with Gliss 2.0?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, you can top it with either one. You cannot lose either way as DLight has fantastic properties of every kind on its own. Gliss 2.0 or SiC will provide additional slickness but if you don't care how it feels to the tough of your skin then you really do not need either... But again you are welcome to add either.

    can gliss be applied over a 1.5 year old coating as a topper?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, if you clean the paint really well. Reset, IronX, Lift, Eraser, then Gliss 2.0
