This song is already becoming nostalgic and I didn’t grow up with odyssey, I grew up with galaxy
Its because it has a bit of Mario galaxy’s theme in it :)
@@Angey__ at what time? I’d be surprised if I missed something like that
@@Amara87387 0:33 to 0:40
@@mariomorgan6083 I don’t hear it. I mean it sounds similar on concept of it being made by the same composer, but I’m not seeing a direct leitmotif from galaxy
@@Amara87387 it sounds similar to Good Egg Galaxy if that helps
This theme really defines what an adventure can truly be, from beginning to end.
I feel the same way. It's great adventuring music!
This is the Gusty Gardens of Super Mario Odyssey
They are both pieces of Art 🥹
12 -13 yo loved this game the nastolgia hits hard now
After finally getting all moons yesterday…
Finishing off darker side after all these years felt so good.
I love this game so much
For the game's first kingdom that isn't the tutorial Cap Kingdom, I do kind of wish Cascade was a bit larger in size. But for what it's worth, I think this song encapsulates just what this game is better than any in the rest of the game, even more so than "Jump Up, Super Star". I've been able to appreciate Odyssey a lot more in the past few weeks as I've been watching videos and listening to music more often. What I really love about this game is that there's something for almost every kind of Mario fan here, no matter what you grew up playing.
And Nintendo knew it with this song too. Because it plays during the Staff Credits
This is and always will be the Switch’s theme song and you cannot change my mind. I would even go so far as to say it’s the theme of 2017 as a whole.
YES. What a spectacular year that was. Mario Odyssey, Switch, breath of the wild. Xenoblade 2, Persona 5, Nier Automata.
THIS. Was gaming’s year.
@@GoldenMushroom64And how ironic that 2023 is giving a lot of the same love from 2017:
Nier Automata got an anime
Xenoblade 3 got a DLC to wrap up the series
BOTW got its long awaited sequel
Spider Man got its long awaited sequel
Resident Evil came back
And Mario is getting a 2D game after a DECADE
@@GoldenMushroom64 I really hate to be that guy, but objectively speaking, how can you make this comment and *not* include Fortnite? Whether or not the game was consistently enjoyable is up for debate, but its overall influence was massive.
@@cloudshines812 YES to all those points and don’t forget the ps5’s long-awaited exclusive Final Fantasy 16!! This has been another great year. (As was last year with Elden Ring)
@@bdt2002gaming yes you do make a good point, it was a victory when it got ported to Switch as well. Truly fun well-made game, not my cup of tea but I respect that it got a lot of people playing and buying systems
This gives me so much nostalgia, and it's not even that old (it's because of the first trailer)
Now that that it’ll be turning 5 years old this year how nostalgic do you think it is now?
You Don't Even Know
Fun fact, this game turns seven this year
This song defines well the grandness of the Odyssey adventure, like Gusty Garden Galaxy defines the span of Galaxy’s adventure. That optimistic hopefulness and longing for what’s just beyond the horizon.
Odyssey is starting to become nostalgic, and it's almost 7 years old.
The Lydian chord at 0:51 gets me every time.
That's the Back to the Future chord!!!
This is my favorite song in Mario Odyssey
Ikr
ITS SO F*CKING BEAUTIFUL
Mine too next to the Lake Kingdom and break free.
@@MinakoMarioFan1992break free is a good one. idk what my favorite is tho. prob fosill falls
The fact that it has a bit of Mario Galaxy’s theme on it makes it even more nostalgic
which mario galaxy theme?
@@gamerz-yt5804I believe it's mainly inspired by gusty garden galaxy
It brings so many memories of when I played the game at my old home
The beginning of The Great Odyssey, literally what this song says.
This is a really beautiful song.
I LOVE HER!
Odyssey was my first game, now I have had it for 6 years
This is so underrated
from what i can tell, there's shine on the M, A, R, I, O, and U. From top to bottom (on the logo) it spells "U MARIO"
Anyone else dump the T-rex off a cliff? Or is it just me?
It is good to see that the habit of throwing dinosaurs into the abyss has not been lost
@@SebPena The habit is alive and well, my friend. :)
@@edwheezer6231 Sure... trying to move his wheelchair with his little arms, nibbling and maybe catching something
You're not the only dude who did it
@@SebPena Throwing baby pegnuins into the abyss > throwing dinosaurs into the abyss > throwing anything else into the obyss
its relaxing 😍
Why is this nostalgic? I didn't even grow up with this game
YESSSSSSSS
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Nostalgia 😌🎶🎵🎻🎹
This song is epic
The best soundtrack I have ever heard in 2017
Fly on Plumber Boy! Fly on!
I beat odyssey last month and I love the game!
The flipping nostalgia bro
Mario Odyssey is my favorite Mario game of all time
Jump Up, Super Star! might be considered the "main theme" of this game to some, but this one really sets the tone of epic adventures Mario and Cappy go on.
GOOD 👍
Still so beautiful
Staff roll/end credits please? It is a little different
