For the people who are not familiar with 80s Cannon Films and the ''Go-Go Boys'' (that's how Golan/Globus were known in the movie business scene), I highly recommend the documentary ''Electric Boogaloo: The Wild,Untold Story of Cannon Films''.
You can watch here on youtube and it's a very informative and hillarious account of how these 2 crazy Israeli cousins started the biggest, independent movie studio in Hollywood, before going bankrupt in the beginning of the 90s.
Let´s say,we were lucky to dodge the bullet with this one here, otherwise we would had gotten a movie like the Albert Pyung Capt.America, starring Reb Brown.

When Columbia/Sony got the rights to Spider-Man, they also got the rights to all previous scripts. Raimi and the writers cherry picked what they felt were the best ideas from each. A lot of ideas from the 1985 script made it into Spider-Man 1 and 2.
